Im most impressed with the customer service here. The selection is huge. The prices are on point or cheaper than the competition on many items I noticed. What separates this place from the rest is the owner takes part in the day to day operations and is available for any problems you may incur. Very reasonable and a very good experience dealing with this store. This is my favorite place for aquarium supplies and aquarium fish. They have the biggest selection of equipment and fish I seen in the state of Pennsylvania. Located close off I95 exit on the Bristol exit. Conveniently located near me. The owner was even kind enough to jump start my car when the battery died In the parking lot. Refused money when offered and was happy to get my car running. Im a customer for life now. Everything you need for your pets. Great prices. They have alot of fish tanks but most of them are empty. Been there 5 or 6 times and never both fish. Small selection.
One of the best stocked aquarium, reptile and pond supply store in the area, there’s something for everyone here. Good sales on staple supplies such as aquarium salt, seawater, and general stock aquariums. They often have a good coral selection at reasonable prices. Everything you need to start, or stock your hobby can be found at the Hidden Reef.
Called and was told they would check for what i was looking for and they put me on hold and never returned, while i was still on hold my fiancé called and she then told him the same thing and put him on hold which eventually we both hung up cause im not gonna keep wasting my time sitting on hold especially when I called the first time they hung up on me after i was supposedly transferred ‘to the guys in the back’. If this is how you treat people on the phone then I definitely wont be coming there to shop
Great selection of fish but there’s never anyone around to get fish you want to purchase. And when there are people around they are either on their phone or complaining about customers.
This place was my childhood. My dad used to take me here. The staff was polite,the place was kept in order and the variety of fish,tanks,decor and other products was great

I heard so many good things about The Hidden Reef. The reviews were quite good. I went to the store as I was a new fish tank owner. It is only 10 gallons and I bought it with my 4 granddaughters. All of the fish we bough all died. We bought additional fish and then also died. They were very upset. I took a sample of the water there to be tested. I waited for the tall young guy who works in the back with the fish. When he was done, I asked him if he could help me? Before I had started to explain, he said he was to busy as he had other customers to help and to come back tomorrow. I the asked, if I come back tomorrow will someone definitely help me. His reply was “ There are no guarantees, I am by myself and we are short staffed. I was completely disgusted! They lost a customer for sure! Bad business practices! If I could have I would give them NO STARS! I went down the road on Route 413 to the Fish Factory! Wonderful service, knowledgeable and helpful!
Excellent fish store. Endless selection. Fish that we brought home were very healthy.My one critique is that there were a lot of dead fish in their tanks and I understand that that is normal when you import fish but the staff seemed unphased by it.

Very busy! Not enough staff to handle the aquarium. Left without purchasing what we came for.On the other hand best equipped fish store around for supplies.Just needs more aquarium staff.
They always have a great selection of fish and very helpful staff. Not sure his name (tall gentleman) is very helpful and gives great advice on fish and which ones will be compatible. Love taking my kids there to see all the fish. No more Petsmart for me.
There is like one guy who knows what he is talking about, the rest just wing it. I listened to the staff and it was wrong, stuff died, problem not fixed. Went back and explained what happen only to be told “that (advice) would do nothing for you”. They did nothing to rectify the situation. Just a pat speech (which sounded like they says it 50 times a day) “that’s how it is with the hobby” and “there are many different opinions” and even contradicting themselves by saying it’s a good strategy after saying you should not have done that. Well, I listened to your staff, they gave out wrong information, I lost money and you took zero responsibility. Zero integrity, just pathetic. Don’t be fooled by old reviews. See all the recent ones about how bad the staff and customer service is.
My favorite store everybody there is so helpful and nice. And I love the turtles I always check them out every time Im there theyre always up to some fun

2022-06-27A group from work ordered from here and I picked the food up. I went around 10:30 on a Sunday and it was super crowded. People were waiting inside and outside. The staff seamed nice enough for the brief Interaction I had with them. Myself and 1 other person ordered pancakes and we both agreed they were kind of dry. I heard no complaints about other food ordered. I think I would have to go again and dine In to get a more accurate view on the food. I only took a few bites of the pancakes I ordered and took rest home.

2022-05-14This place has a lot of different fish. I went in there to pick up one item and ended up being in there an hour looking at all the fish. They had a few fish that were dead and sick so it made me not want to ever buy fish from there since it was a few like that. It was a cool place to go and they do offer a lot of items as well as fish.

2022-05-30I like shopping with hidden reef for pond supplies. The only issue I have is finding help and get products that are in stock. Too often brands are changed from one season to the next. Or the product is out of stock and no known date of return. Laguna brand parts, skimmer boxes, non corrugated PVC tubing. The type used in hot tubs. UV lights by emperor aquatics. All these to name a few and much more. It makes it hard to shop for a place that never carries parts and always switches brands. Otherwise this store would be great and could be doing so much better.

2022-06-28Massive store, lots of selection. Staff are really nice and helpful. Really rare items as well like the baby alligator 🐊. Tanks were clean and the everything seemed happy. Definitely worth the trip if you’re in the area.

2022-03-01Had our water tested last week and it was fine so we purchased 2 Peacock Cichlids together from the same tank. The employee told us to buy 2 at a time and they would be fine together. They died 2 days later, got the water checked again and it was good so we purchased 2 more Peacock Cichlids from the same tank as the first 2. They were dead 2 days later. Went back this past weekend on Sunday to see if we could find out what was going on. The girl we talked to had no answer for us. The guy we talked to tested our water and said the ammonia and nitrate levels were a little high and had no explanation as to why and suggested we buy more fish. Why would we buy more fish when we just had 4 die in not even a week. No one seems to know anything about fish there except for one guy we encountered a few weeks ago. Wasted hundreds of dollars here and I feel bad because of that one employee that did actually help us but we want healthy fish that will live longer than 2 days.

2022-04-28My fiancee and I went here on a whim because we needed blackworms, and they were the only store within 2 hours that had any in stock. We were FLOORED when we walked in! We had both heard of this place, bu never actually stopped in. Our go-to spot has been That Fish Place in Lancaster, PA, (2 hour drive) but this will DEFINITELY be our new local spot!

2022-03-24Nice little store, but I met only 2 employees willing to provide help. Sheldon has helped me right away and asks if there is anything else that I need. He made it easy to drop my money into the store. The other employee who has consistently helped is Jessica. Both of them will actually aknowledge a customer so you can buy. The rest walk around with their nose in the air and tell you they dont work in that area. Then you find them back there helping other customers. And they just walk the opposite way when done. Definitely not a great experience chasing around employees for over 45 mins just to say I want to spend $500+ dollars today.
