Greatest store ever! This Home Depot is kept spotless. It is the only home improvement store that I havent felt like I needed a shower when I leave. Things are not covered with dust or look like theyve been sitting on shelves since last century. I liken it to browsing in a fine department store. Also, they have some harder to find items. We travel an hour to this location and Home Depot is always tops on our list. We have an upcoming home project and have chosen some items that only Home Depot carries so we will be going back---with our truck this time. Also, if you think you can find any paint that beats Behr paint or stain, it aint gonna happen. We bought their best outdoor paint this trip for one of our outbuildings in the fall. Also, I need to say that the employees are helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this store!
Ive had some issues in the past with ordering items. They would call to have me come pick up the items. Then the items would not be there ...BUT they have been doing a better job lately! Good Job HD! Super nice staff!
Basically if youve been to one youve been to them all. Its different from Lowes in its more of a basic. Lowes seems to have more decorative items (lighting, garden, etc )

Did some window-shopping throughout the store today. Found some interesting products in the outdoor section, but for my taste the items were too expensive. I always like to save money where I can, so I checked out the reduced plants. Herbs, peppers, and more for as little as $1. Now that is a deal!
I bought a washer and dryer here and paid cash. The representative told me it would be delivered in 10-14 days. At day 15 I called. Home Depot stated it hadnt left the manufacturer and I may receive in 2 weeks. I explained that they failed to hold up their end of the agreement and I expected compensation for the cost of using a laundromat while I waited for their product. Home Depot stated no compensation would be made. Later that evening I received a call that they were able to re-route a unit and have delivery tomorrow. The delivery driver showed up with his dog and let him out on my property. If that wasnt enough, the machine was completely wrecked. It appears they re-routed a returned machine. The store management takes no responsibility and only offers me the same machine - now 3 week from today. Terrible service. These stores have gone down hill. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT.Update: The store just called and said theyd rather refund me the money than make right on the purchase. PEOPLE: STOP LETTING THESE LAZY, GREEDY, INEFFICIENT, INCOMPETENT CORPORATIONS KEEP SCREWING YOU. STOP BUYING FROM HOME DEPOT AND OTHER LARGE CORPS. GO LOCAL.

We are at HD constantly, and I felt bad I never gave a review. We have used HD for so many things: major construction, new appliances, Christmas Decor, landscaping, small projects, buying tools, and have been in every part of it several times. Every single time the staff have been so friendly! You can usually get assistance immediately when needed. Many times if you look a little confused or unsure, they are always coming by and asking if you need anything. 100% of the time we have been greeted, saw friendly staff, and had expedient check out. Thanks all at Altoona Home Depot!
Great lumber selection friendly service great prices an promotions
Bought a GE washer from them with an extended warranty and it broke after 6 weeks . Its been a week and my washer still isnt fixed nor will they return it! Dont buy anything here !!!Edit another week has went by and again no contact from GE Ive spoken to the Store Manager several times and he seems to be a nice gentleman and wants to help NOTHING! At what point do you just not replace the washer?

Great place to get anything you need to get your projects done. Staff is always friendly in here and usually ask me first if I need help. Online pick up is pretty good. I use that service when Im in a hurry. I have lowes down street but usually go here cause prices are usually better and everything I have electric tools are Dewalt and ryobi and this place sells both. Have great deals usually every holiday which is nice. Great store and great deals and products which will make me coming back when in need of stuff.

They were busy in the garden center. The one cashier encouraged some of the 6 different people waiting in the line to go to the self checkout if they could just use their card instead of cash. I was too lazy to load up 50qt of potting soil onto a cart so I just waited in the line behind two customers ahead of me to ask if she could ring me up. She was friendly and could key in my soil without the barcode to scan. I also asked if it was ok to move my vehicle to pick up the soil afterward. Aside from the wait with people in line before me, it was a good experience overall. Got a 5lb box of miracle grow for $10 which is a bargain when about 1lb costs about $6 - and 50qt potting soil for $15. Lots of good selections of plants. Various vegetables and lots of other plants like hydrangeas and roses. Some new guinea impatiens looked terrible, like they got frosted, but everything else freshly watered and healthy looking. People were buying. No one was masking inside or out.
Good source for home needs. Great return policy.
Picked up a hard to find item...1/4drywall. Needed more than what was in the bin. Associates were gid to restock quickly and help us get on our way fast. Painless through the checkout. Another associate helped in the parking lot. Thanks Home Depot! Ill be back!
The flowers I bought there were dead two days later.
Cashier was so polite. Went in there to get some stakes. Shows they have 62 even the cashier said so. Cashier sent my husband to the back of the store for them and he couldnt even get any help or find them. Lousy service. My husband said he waited about 10-15 minutes on someone and they never showed up. And I thought you were supposed to get a military discount.
Absolutely worst experience buying a new fridge! We all work until 2pm and we have no refrigerator until they could deliver. We called the number provided to us by Home depot the day before delivery and told them we cant have it delivered until after 2. The delivery team called at 12 and left no number to call back and said they were 20mins away. When ordering the fridge we also told the person to put in the delivery notes that no one will be here UNTIL 2PM!! Nothing is communicated between the store this random number they had us call and the delivery team. Come to find out they are an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR not even associated with home depot!!! This was an absolute mess and will NEVER recommend buying from Home Depot again.
Was sent to an isle that wasnt there. Joke was on me I guess. So be it. Ace in Duncansville is closer for me.
We stopped in looking for a toothbrush holder and they only had 2 really bad choices. I guess for some things Home depot is a good place but just not toothbrush holders.

I had been at Lowes to look at sliding glass doors for a home project. Waited 20 minutes and no help, even after approaching an employee in another dept to page for help. Another customer and I both have punched the help button. I left, went to Home Depot, within 3 minutes of being the store, one employee asked if I needed help, I said yes in the sliding glass doors. He had Heather help me. She answered my questions, showed different selections ,provided pricing and literature. She set up a free visit to have the door measured. Lowes just lost a 20+ year customer. Home Depot is customer friendly. 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Always a good experience when i have to visit the depot... One other thing i want to add is that i recently downloaded the home depot app to my phone and it is nothing short of amazing.....it is super convenient to be able to shoo and pay for your supplies at your own convenience the. It is no more than a five minute grab and dash on the way home from work to pick up your stuff. I highly recommend tryi g the app if you havent already
It was pretty decent until the self check out started screaming customer needs assistance at self check out for a good 5 mins. It went down hill rather quickly from there. The nice lady with the pin number to shut the sqwak box off was very helpful, she was very nice too.
The staff is very helpful. Nice and cozy inside. They have competitive prices and stock on things not available at other hardware stores. The shopping experience here is very enjoyable and I am always asked if I can be helped by staff. Love it here.

Terrible customer service. Do not order a refrigerator from them that needs the icemaker installed. This is the second icemaker that has been ordered, and it is still not right. I need the correct icemaker for my model of refrigerator ordered. I have no idea what that is. Home Depot ordered the original one and it was not correct, GE ordered the second one and it is not correct. I ordered this refrigerator in January, and it was delivered in early April, and it is now June and I still do not have the icemaker that I paid for.
We are currently building our own home, and have made a multitude of visits to HD, Lowes, and other product suppliers. Every single time that weve been to HD, Service has sought us out and asked if we are finding what we need and can they help. The answer is always an unequivocal:YES! Yes, please help us. Help us understand...help us find...help us decide between...just...help us! And they do. And if they cant help, they call someone. Weve been so impressed with thier willingness to make the customer happy and to best meet our needs. Ive been so impressed that when an item⁰ may likely be at more than one location, and regardless of the price, we will choose HD. Stores need to realize that people long for great customer service. We dont even mind paying a tiny bit more in support of the right system.

I ordered a generator for my home. Went to the store to pick it up. Employee asked if I still wanted it because it came in dented. Of course I didnt so had to reorder it. Picked up an air conditioner yesterday that I ordered, got it home and opened the box. The side of the air conditioner was completely dented in but box has nothing wrong with it. Took it back to store which is a 45 minute drive. Home Depot could do nothing about it except reorder the air conditioner which is going to take another two weeks to come in. No gift card, no percentage off, nothing.Their customer service is terrible. In the past year we have spent alot of money there because we purchased a new home. No more. We will spend our money elsewhere.

I usually love home depot. But this was a terrible experience, placed an online order (which I have done countless times) stopped the next day to pick it up. The customer service individual told me none of my order was pulled because they didnt have room to store it once it was pulled. Very frustrating when I allotted a 10 min process in my schedule and instead turned into an hour process.
Had them measure my house for carpet, they came up with 124 sqyrds, fine. So we go to pay for it and they want to charge us for 160 sqyrds, fine but can anyone tell me why I all of the sudden need 36 more square yards of carpet? Nobody can give me an answer. Had another business come out and they are doing it with 130 sqyrds. Be careful! 36 yrds of carpet is ALOT of carpet!

Went there to buy a shower kit and washer and dryer. Out of stock on WD hey it happens. Went to bath for shower. Noone around but saw several groups of employees chatting with each other. Could not get help for 15 minutes. Ended up calling the store customer service to ask to get someone to assist me. Once again out of stock. Ended up getting both at Lowes. No problem getting help.
Great home improvement store and the employees are knowledgeable. The parking lot is one of the many dispicable feats of engineering design in this city. so this is the reason I take away a star because I get stressed out every time I pull in.

This was the worst store experience I have ever encountered from a retail chain. I was greeted very rudely from the start and made to feel like an inconvenience. After we were approached and diverted to the back by a rude male associate at customer service, a younger gentleman took over and was very helpful in light of the circumstances. However, the store admitted to mis-marking the item (shed) that we were interested in. They mis-marked the availability of delivery and assembly. The manager was never available in the 45 minute timeframe we ended be being there. One of the employees (who was not involved in the original transaction) involved herself and was even more rude than expected. She made the comment that I wouldn’t be able to afford the expenses of getting a shed assembled. She interfered with the two younger associates who were nice enough to try to resolve the situation. She was obnoxious and pushed the final straw to where I didn’t want to proceed with any sale. However, they were not able to resolve the issue. In the end I purchased a nicer shed from their competition - Lowes. Lowes actually delivers and assembles sheds. Overall, Home Depot lost over $1,500.00 in sales from their unfortunate mismanagement and unprofessionalism.
Zero stars for zero customer service. Placed a order via phone for same day pick up. Only to arrive at the store location to find out the item customer service was holding for me was sold to someone else before I arrived. Also, no attempts were made to remedy the situation. And, furthermore no apologies were given. Again, zero stars would be my rating if it were possible for Home Depot in Altoona Pennsylvania.
Had to Exchange Ryobi 20 EElectric Mower. Had No Issues. Personnel were Great. They did Paper Work and told me to take a New Mower. This was ordered on line and Exchanged at Altoona, Pa. Store. Seamless Experience.
Associate was rude, acted annoyed to help me. threw my purchase across counter. I understand the situation everyone in the community is in. These are scary time for everyone, but some of us are working also, and don’t want to go in public, but to survive we must keep working.The other associate in the same department (paint) was a delight, and the cashier was great as well.
Nice enough place. I tend to shop here less frequently than at its competition, however there are times Home Depot has a product from a different manufacturer or a product at a better price. The selection is good usually and the staff have always been helpful when needed. I may prefer Lowes but I certainly dont mind Home Depot.

Have been shopping here over the other home improvement store due to it not having some items. Home Depots staff seems more willing to help and goes out of their way to help you.I had to take off a star due to the last time I sent my wife in to get something. A man working (wont mention names here) there wasnt very friendly, had no idea what she was asking for and almost rude. Even though I had wrote down the exact part and had bought another one there 2 weeks ago. Another employee walked past offered to help her find it and was very helpful.

They had great selections for spring planting. So we loaded up on some great soil and plant feeders, found a part for our wet/dry vac that Lowes didnt carry, and some other miscellaneous items we needed to repair a few things around the house. Their veterans program could be A LOT better in my opinion. But at least the recognize on certain days.
Living an hour and a half away this was the closest Home Depot to me that had a LED Lighted Unicorn that my mother wanted for Christmas. The staff was kind and the item was quick and easy to find. Would visit this locations again if needed.

National Company with Local management Local employees and undependable services that makes your jobs more difficult if not impossible: Why they require non-disclosure agreements when they screw up and they bounce you back and forth for months on end in the hidden cost of doing corporate business.TIP do not use their financing credit card services as they have terms written into it that are not in regular credit card terms as they own it and use it to pressure you to give, and keep their costs down , though other companies fiance the purchases.
Excellent experience. Had 3 people ask my wife for help within 2 min but i was already being assisted. Told us about sales coming up instead of pushing for that days price. Will be making this store out GO-TO STORE from now on. Good luck Lowes!
Used to like this place. Went to pick up a curbside order and they said I have to come inside. Literally negates the purpose of having curbside during a pandemic. Had to call in 3 times to get someone to help me and one rude woman hung up on me. Guess I’ll take my business to Lowe’s going forward.

When we finally get a so called manager named Tonya she comes up the aisle yelling at me saying I was the third person that day to ask the same question ! She was so rude and the other employees ( once I reported her) said this is all the time with her! Well Tonya I hope I can make your life a little easier, maybe your next job you won’t have to answer any questions! Really??? Come on Home Depot Is this the kind of employee you want ! You lost a 2,000.00 dollar sale and we will not return until she is gone!! Minus the star it made me put one to post!!!

Self check-out suck only one that worked correctly and workers walking around not knowing how to fix the issues with them. Left my merchandise and went to Lowes. The other registers with employees were super busy with at least 10 people waiting in line. Poor poor customer service at registers.

I went into Home Depot and dont plan on ever going there again. I was treated so rudely and hateful by a young guy in the paint department. They had plexiglas shields up to separate the salesman and the customer which I think is great. However, I needed paint mixed plus had a couple questions and that guy stood about 10 feet away behind the plexiglas and screamed to me. I told him I needed him to come closer so I could show him the paint sample I needed mixed and he said just yell the numbers to me. He was very rude way beyond that too. If hes that afraid of people behind a plexiglas shield maybe he should just stay home. Im never going back there. Ill go to Lowes. Lowes always has a kind word to say.

They have what you need. Employee help is 50/50. One was extremely helpful and helped me find the item. The other employee just gave me an isle number and walked away. 🤷♀️
Apparently homedepot can’t afford cashiers anymore.. it’s all self checkout and only 1 cashier working about 6 self checkouts so if you have a problem or want something you’ll wait.. poor customer service will start shopping Lowe’s more often

I went into the store to purchase some items. When I got up to the checkout the only check out that were open with self-checkout. I disagree with this because I believe it takes away jobs I will not use a self checkout! I left the store and went to Lowes. They had literally 5 registers open with cashiers!!!! I will not shop at this store because I will not be part of taking away anyones job!!!

I was very uncomfortable in the store as there was absolutely no effort to encourage customers to wear masks. If you want something at the state store, you wear a mask or opt for curbside. What is so difficult about no mask, no service?

It is a nice store recently. In the past I had some bad experiences when trying to find wire. The employee could not even find me a simple piece of electrical wire, he just stood there and gave me a crazy look and criticized me for only needing one foot. Luckily I dont see him around the store any more. Other than that one time with the disturbed old man, I love this store.
Home Depot Altoona, PA rocks! I was looking for more mulch and the gentleman driving the forklift stops what he is doing, opens up the closed off mulch area and lets me take my time to get the mulch I needed! Awesome!
I like going there because I can know where to find my items. The staff are nice and helpful. The prices are decent. I havent had to shop for big items for the house so I dont know if theyre competitive.

The small thick appendages are still not working the way I have designed. They swirl and crack in strange patterns without allowing for the bones within to maintain the structure I had intended. They are terribly strong, but strength without leverage is useless.Some nights, after hours spend working to no avail, I fear they will never work correctly. I feel like a failure. I feel like I should give up.But every time I walk into this orange store with its bright lights and row upon row of materials and tools I KNOW that there is a way for me to build my vision.Someday, the world will see my vision with me. I know that everyone who is downtrodden will love the heavy, thick, meaty hands that will break our shackles and set us free. Someday we will wander a new earth, and the survivors will thank me, and I will thank Home Depot.

Went in to order carpet to be install by christmas ..met all deadlines by home depot..after paying for carpet measures...went in to pay only to be told it would be weeks past christmas before installation...very deceptive business practive!!!...they could have told me prior to paying and waiting for measurement...
The selection of bathroom pieces in store is quite poor. After painstakingly choosing a shower unit from the very limited options, then waiting in line to order it, we were told that it was no longer available. We asked if we could purchase the floor model, were told it wasnt home depots unit to sale. A very frustrating shopping experience.
Had an issue with the purchase of 8 foot florescent lights. They refunded the purchase without any problems. Usually have whatever we need.
Definitely the best home store in our area. Ive always had excellent help when I needed it, especially in the door department. Jesse is the best! Weve revamped almost our whole house with the help of this place. Much, much, much better than the Lowes of Altoona.
Most staff members were friendly. However a few in flooring were unhelpful. I walked around for about 20 mins looking for what I needed, while the employee sat behind the register on a chair without even acknowledging me. I eventually approached another employee who was happy to help. However I had to ask for help to be assisted.
Decently i was in the local home depot to grab some paint for in my bathroom. I go up to ask a question about it and the employee named kenydal acted like i just ruined her whole day by asking a question. And both of her responses were rude for no reason.she seemed to not be the clearest in her head ither like before she came to work she got high. Im so over home depo ive had numerous times where employees were rude. Ill take my buisness else where.
I was at this store this evening. Not one electric wheelchair was charged. This may not be a big deal to everyone but it is to someone that cannot walk the store. This is not the first time that this has happened in this store. If my husband cannot shop there with me Ill spend my money elsewhere. Poor customer Service!

If you have ever seen the commercial of the woman looking for an associate to assist her. This is that store.However, the store is almost always clean and in order. Just dont expect to go there and they have what you need in stock. They seem to display a ton of materials that is not actually in the store itself. The response is always, We can order it for you!= / Well, if I wanted to wait for it. I would go to EBAY and get it at less then half then what you want for it. Not to mention, I can order it myself.Anyway, if you need it now. Go to the Johnstown, PA Home Depot. I remodeled an Entire Home in Johnstown, using only the Johnstown Home depot . That store always had everything, right there on the shelves. = )

However we recently went in store to purchase a washer and drier, a pretty expensive purchase and decided to have it delivered. The night prior we received a phone call that the delivery would happen between 2pm and 6pm so I naturally stayed home. The automated message said they would call a half an hour prior. I have now called the store to speak with someone because I have not heard anything.Call 1: A woman answers: Uh... I have no clue how to go about that, can I put you on hold? ... sure... 9 minutes later I hang up and call backCall 2: I get to the person I need pretty quickly. DONT call the option that asks about deliveries. Go directly to the department of your purchase and have them put you in contact. The front desk must be a tad clueless at times and I am not surprised. Very few I have ever met up front seem to be ready to build the next rocket to mars. Anyhow, the guy was cool, looked up my order and said its still coming.This review is based mainly on the fact that I couldve went to work today and made it home in time. Its not the end of the world but something you should consider. A four hour delivery window is very large. I couldnt take them with me as they dont stock them or I wouldve put them in my truck and saved myself money and time.
The associates on the floor are very helpful & Courteous and go out of there way to help customers find the items that, whoevers in charge of storing merchandise, decides to randomly stash extra stock in random places that no one else that works in the store can find...

Still waiting for cabinets its been about 6mos. They wont deliver part of my order until the cabinets come in. Mind you theyre only 2 of them.
Just left Home Depot for the LAST time. Thought Id give them another chance since I was passing them. Asked where the 4x8 sheets of Masonite were. Finally found a person, said right down this isle. No Masonite sheets. Asked 2 other employees and both said different areas but no one showed me. Im out of there!!!Service has never been even fair. Mostly non-existent.
Never choose Curbside Pick-up! 10 plus minutes just to get ahold of an associate and 25 more minutes to get my pickup, which was simply a boxed item! Curbside Pick-up = Terrible choice!
Home Depot is our familys favorite store for home projects !
We always seem to be able to get help when we are at Home Depot picking up misc items for projects around the house. No problem there at all. The main reason for my 2 stars was that when I called regarding a potential estimate for a large project, I was not very welcomed. Between cutting me off shortly after Hello and having to ask the person beside him if they even do the type of project I had asked about.....I wasn;t too impressed and was left with a sour taste in my mouth. I guess Lowes it is!
Picked up a stove the guys that loaded it worked hard and fast but wiithout a plan they took the plastic off It was raining they cut some of the straps off before I could stop them

It was mixed between my experience with the Altoona store (great) and Home Depot Corporate (Not great. Poor communication). Also, the installers (Leightys Flooring) were very friendly and did a nice job. Lori & Leightys went above and beyond to try and make up for some bad communication from Corporate about 7-Day Installs - THANK YOU!SUGGESTIONS/NOTES if you are considering flooring:• Start the project/discussion IN THE STORE versus on the website or through Home Depot Corporate. If you start on the website, the measure and project is setup by who knows who at Corporate and the initial phases are not local.• They often have promos that include removal of old carpet, moving basic furniture and free installation. This is great. This is usually specific to CARPET and not to hard flooring.• Corporate will tell you that some carpets are 7 Day Installs meaning they will be installed without about 7 days of your order being placed. THIS IS NOT UNIVERSALLY TRUE FOR ALL HOME DEPOT LOCATIONS. For instance, Altoona has never done a 7-Day install and could easily be installing several weeks out based on the time of year. Recommendation: Try to start/work with the Altoona staff who is familiar with our area and the local installer (Leightys). Place your order as soon as you can to get the ball rolling.• If you are planning to remove carpet yourself, 1) know that it may be included in the cost and 2) if you do remove the old carpet and padding you can leave the tack strips to be reused for the new carpet.

I seldom say anything about the way Im treated at this store .However , after approximately , the twelfth time Ive been tothis store , I am compelled to at least voice my discouragementin this store ! I am Jeff , Theresas husband , our account was setup in her name . I rarely , have ever gone to this store and treatedrespectfully , as was , again , my experience today , 4-19-2017 .I have health issues , so I kind of go slow . I shuffle over to the Customer Service ( whatever thats supposed to mean in thatstore ??? ) , I didnt say a word to the young lady at the register ,because she and another attendant were waiting on another woman . The register person , looked at me , and seemingly like Iwas bothering her , said : Ill be right with you . You say : So whats your problem old man ?? Well , it was the bothering metone in which she said it !I have tried several times to buy things at that store andseldom have a pleasant experience !I know thats the way it is , nowadays . Im a nobody . The loss of my business will mean nothing to them .I quietly , put my cart away , and left ! Whats the point ofmaking a scene or saying something ,,, shes the Customer Service person !I went down the hill and bought a higher priced mower ,probably not as good of quality as I was going to get at Home Depot , but I dont have to bother anyone to purchase things I need at any store .I dealt with the public for over 45 years . Everyone has a bad day , I know ! But come on ,it shouldnt be everyday . If you dont want to work ,,,, quit and go home !!!
I just went to the Altoona store and the cashier ripped me off for $12 and then said she couldnt give me my money back. Very nice ripping off a veteran. Thanks Homedepot!

They need checkouts at both ends of the building. The checkouts are at one end. At the other end is the returns. Im handicapped , it seems that I always need something at that end of the building. I know they will check me out at the Return counter but, they always give me the 2nd degree . At least you could have a self service checkout there!

This place is great I go here for all my home improvement needs bathroom kitchen outdoors any room in the house they have what you need if you go here looking for an and cant find it your not looking hard enough and the people here are very courteous you need help theres always someone just around the corner to help you with what ever you need and half the time the prices here beat lowes
Store layout sucks and the employees were not helpful when I visited. Decided to go to Lowes where the employees are more helpful and prices are lower for the same thing.

People working there do not know what is going on. There was a special on weed killer the cashier told us about it..but when we went to look for it was told by one that special was over and someone else didnt even know about the special. Not worth free to go through so much hassle

Im living in Atlanta , Georgia now and I had to stop in and see if there where any Pittsburgh Steelers Keys for the home (Blanks to be cut for copies) , They had several selections (Quickset , Schlage...etc ) Very helpfull staff and they asked me why I did not want them cut,I live in Atlanta, I dont have the originals with me Why buy these here then? We dont have Pittsburgh Steelers blanks Why not ? The key guy asks.Well....do you have any Atlanta Falcons keys? No Way! What kind of question is that I looked at him with that REALLY GUY? look....He thought about it and went , Ohhhhhhh, Gotcha
Part of the Box Store Twilight Zone sorry this store seems like it is always in chaos or maybe the problem is box stores generally like this:Where all too many people working there are insubordinate argumentative and AWOL as to answer the phones they simply push peoples buttons & transfer calls without explanation nor reaching the correct parties called for, and where constructive criticism is frustrated and their vocabulary is not 100% honest and may be called deceptive at best where also often many just pass the buck.
You go in asking for a product or information and they tell you to go online or they say well lets pull it up on the computer...well just wait one diddly darn second...why didnt I think of that...well we did...and we came to the store to see if they had something different so we wasted time while the lady logged in and pulled up the same thing we did on the internet...

2022-05-25I purchased a lawn mower online May 2nd and had to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive. After the delivery was delayed for several days it finally showed up yesterday. The attached pictures show the damage. I spoke with customer service today and while the person who took my call was very polite, there was nothing she could do other than return the mower as the one I ordered is out of stock. There is nothing comparable to the one that I purchased so I was told there was nothing else she could do. I have now been without a mower for several weeks and had to rely on a neighbor to help cut my grass. This has been a horrible experience and makes me want to stop shopping at Home Depot.

2022-06-05Great place. Though the contactor for the doors doesnt measure correctly. He said our doors were 1/4 off from a standard door and we needed to get a custom door. I said there was no way. Then stated our houses are almost all the same and there is no way ours would be the only custom door. I asked them to come out and remeasure. I asked if he usually changed his measurements and they said no. So I called Window World and they measured and guess what? Its a standard size door with more than enough wiggle room. Im not sure how these contactors get paid but if there are incentives for custom sized doors I would stop paying them out. It only leads to deceiving customers and trying to line their own pockets. Or if you are buying a door or window. I would call someone else to get measurements from too. The measurements from this contractor cannot be trusted.

2022-05-25The better of the home improvement stores in Altoona. Can actually fill a pick up order properly. Staff is also helpful and doesnt run away from customers like the local Lowes. I always stop here first for my home improvement/repair needs and pray they have what I need so I dont have to go to the other mediocre chain home improvement stores in Altoona.

2022-05-06I went to the altoona home depot yesterday. Morning. The guy in the paint department was very rude and he raised his voice at me and told me never to stand on a bucket to reach a can paint. I felt this was unnecessary and offensive.i will not shop at home depot again to be treated like this. I will only shop at Lowes from now on.

2021-10-28You know what I love most about Home Depot? They always have in stock what Lowes is out of it. Their prices are usually lower as well. This Home Depot is always laid back. Not too crowded. Always someone to help if needed. So depending on what you need this Home Depot might be the best option for you.
