Had to open a brand new,sealed carton of main runners,because all of the single ones out of the box were badly damaged. Imagine that,every other one from sealed box,badly damaged! Glad I personally went to get items,a laborer would have just assumed that main runners from a sealed box wouldve been fine. Wrong!! As contractors,we dont have time to inspect every single thing we buy,but at the big box stores,you better, chances are you will be taking garbage materials back to the job!
Have you ever worked for this company? I can tell you that if you are in need of employment, go there and apply. My son got his first job there, he is a sophomore in college and is now considering majoring in Business to stay on and climb that ladder. This is how good they treat you. After years in the medical field and banking and other jobs in between I can tell you I’m impressed by this company. Only thing I’m shocked with.. no employee discount. On a customer stand point enjoy shopping there for home products.Update: After several months I agree with previous statement except one female manager. My son is looking into leaving because of one horrible person that nobody likes ( she’s miserable and complains constantly, walk on eggshells over everything you do.)
I had an issue with a Klein Tape Measure. I had the intention of returning it for a new one. I went into the store and picked out a new one and the lady at the counter was super understanding and did her job very professionally and tracked certain people down that had more intel on the situation. The warranty on the item was very misleading, but with a little time and help from a hardworking employee, I was able to get a new tape measure. Much appreciation to this employee. I will not say her name though because I do not want to put her name out there without her permission first.
Its a little disjointed at the moment because of changing seasons but I was able to go in get what I needed and get out with out issue. Got a dehumidifier and new shower head. Had to wait for a bit longer then normal due to how busy everyone was either putting out fall stuff or helping other customers. But over all great buy
I bought a 2000 dollar refrigerator and my reward or thanks they gave me was damaging my house I understand this happens but they use a third party who has zero respect for your property and then lie about it.It has been since February and get nothing but b.s. when I talk to anyone about it.It is a shame due to the person who sold it to me was great and was looking forward to finishing my kitchen appliances with her but if this is the way they handle the situation when it happens I can not do it again. Just beware if you have a delivery from them do not sign for it because if you are like me and notice it after the drivers leave they will do nothing but laugh about it. Sad but I really think they think you will just forget it or use their store to buy the stuff to repair what they damaged.
I needed some shelves. Online it stated they had 3 of what I needed. In store, they said they didnt have my exact kind. Had the same shelves in red for $40 more. Classic bait and switch but whatever... I ordered them on a Thursday at noon. Paid extra to have them delivered because they weigh like 100+ lbs a piece for a total 7. Called at 4 pm on delivery day (Friday) and stated a driver never showed up, would need to reschedule for Saturday. I told them it would be absolutely a deal breaker Id they didnt get delivered. I said I would rent a u-haul and get them myself if they couldnt. He assured me of their delivery for Saturday. Saturday at 1pm they call me and stated the delivery driver was refusing to deliver them. Wouldnt be there till Monday. I cancelled the order. Terrible business practices and they straight up lie to you... Shop at Lowes!
Purchased a riding mower and they ordered the mulch kit to be delivered to my house. Wrong one. Went to the store to order the correct one. Super pleasant lady at the service desk ordered me the kit will call. Went back about a week later to see if it was in. New lady was quite rude and told me I had to drive to Wilkes-Barre to pick one up because the will call would not be delivered. Very bizarre, but thats what happened. I just cancelled my order then and purchased from Amazon. In summary, one rude employee and a few that were great but need better training.
Every staff person that we encountered was very personable. The light I needed to exchange had already been returned once as parts were missing, and their supply of the light I returned was none existent. I checked on line but they do not send that item directly to you. Its an inconvenience to run a long distance for 1 light.
Had the worst experience with purchasing a refrigerator which for some unexplainable reason delivery keeps getting delayed from one week to another and then to another month, staff was very rude and hung up on me however the manager was ok and I had no hassle when I went it for my refund. Would not recommend purchasing appliances form this location.
Ordered a dishwasher online. The first group brought 4 men into our house and installed the dishwasher installed it incorrectly (basically just plugged it in)-didn’t bracket it in, put the junction box in the incorrect location per the manual. They said they couldn’t install it to our satisfaction-I felt quite intimidated because there were 4 men in my home for a dishwasher (clearly only 1-2 people needed. It was unclear to me if they were even all employees or if some were just friends along for the ride). Because of their poor install which left a bracket hanging out, there is a small, but noticeable scratch on our brand new expensive dishwasher. Another group came out and they said a plumber needed to be called. The plumber was finally able to complete installation.I’m mostly frustrated because the poor installation crew seems to be a known problem. The second group and plumber indicated that this happens quite a bit. Buyer beware.
We needed to have some pieces of trim cut and the associate for that dept gave us a hard time about it. I was looking for drawer knobs but they are very limited in their selection. We received help from an associate in the electrical dept and carpeting dept and they were both very knowledgeable and helpful.
Stopped in here for stucco paint One person said that they could make the color I wanted then when I got the five gallon bucket and got to the counter the other person said they couldnt help me they didnt use a dark tinted base and they didnt have any and didnt know when theyd have any
Not very happy at all. Asked for help 3 times and no help. Spent $2200 and no help till I flipped out at cash register and a very nice young gentleman helped load my trailer. I witnessed other people complaining no help. I came to your store over Lowes because if that reason and got the same as they do not help!
We have been trying to speak to someone in charge for weeks. We purchased a large amount of drywall that management assured us is what we needed for our restaurant. They were short on delivery so we sent a tractor trailer there to pick up, and paid staff to unload. It’s the wrong drywall. We wasted several hundreds of dollars to get this and now we can’t get anyone at the store to assist in a return. Hoping this review will nudge whoever needs nudged to get back to us and settle this before seeking legal council. The order is under James bishop. Please advise. Extremely disappointed in the level of costumer service received.
I cant believe it! They actually had lumber! I have been a Lowes customer for years (until recently) and after driving 30 minutes to find out Lowes didnt have lumber AGAIN, I swore them off forever. Now, every time I have a need, Home Depot supplies that need without fail. Im now a believer in the power... of Home Depot.
Ive been to many stores in this chain but this one was the best - Mike in plumbing was perfect in helping me cobble together parts to solve an unusual problem. The ladies in service didnt get me a price match - but the price was fair and they enthusiastically worked with me to find a competitor price to match. Well trained, knowledgeable, enthusiastic employees... a truly good experience compared to what I usually find at a chain store!
I have been shopping at Home Depot for all of my home improvement needs since I purchased a home 7 years ago. I am very happy with almost every purchase and shopping experience that I’ve had, except for my last 2 shopping trips this weekend. I stopped for paint on Friday, and I dealt with the most miserable, unfriendly and rude employee I’ve ever met. I’m told that her name is Cindy, but I’m not positive since her name was not in her apron.The entire time that I was there she complained and made rude comments. I was at the counter and she proceeded to help the women that came up after me. I chalked it up to maybe she was just having a bad day, but then I had to come back for more paint on Saturday. It was negative comment after negative comment the entire time. I work in customer service, and if I ever acted like that I would be immediately fired! I mentioned to the woman at checkout about her attitude, and she knew exactly who I was talking about and made it seem like this is a common occurrence. I’m shocked that it hasn’t been addressed by management. There is no way that a customer service employee should be so negative and rude every day.
This is where I get most of my home improvement related supplies from. Its a little bit further along my route than Lowes but I strongly prefer them...layout of the store, stock, etc. With one minor caveat, not to blanket statement them all but I would take any employee expert info with a grain of salt...to say the least.
The Lancaster location is horrible. The staff by lumber was rude and unhelpful. At 4:40 pm, they blocked several isles with no warning to customers in the area. I had to walk to back of store to go around blockage. To top it off, they did not have what I was looking for ~ at least in the part I was allowed in where staff said if we have that, it would be down there.
Generally love HD but todays experience was not so good. Had to track people down for service no matter what dept you were in. Needed rope cut and kid sent to help didnt know lock combo. Left walking like taking stroll in park. Came back forgot combo. Left again came back with it. Cut rope and didnt put tag on it for register who then had to call for it. Took 20 min for someone available to cut lumber. Completely a frustrating experience today
My husband and I visited the store to look for a variety of items. I’m physically disabled and in a wheelchair. While looking, a staff member came up to me and asked if I wanted a KIDS TOY to “keep me busy while I’m stuck in the chair”. I’m permanently disabled so you can imagine how that felt hearing. Please train your staff on customer service and degrading individuals.
It is a nice clean store. My issue is I ordered lumber to be delivered to my house and when it was received a few 2x4s and 2x6s had cracks all the way down or at least half way down the boards, the ends were very rough and damaged. In a pinch I had to run to an actual lumber yard for replacement boards do to the poor quality of the ones I received from this home Depot.
Had a veteran ask if military discounts were available for online orders at the Home Depot. Of course they responded no that military discounts are only available in store. I posted a reply that Lowe’s Home Improvement offers military discounts both online and in store to help my fellow veteran save some money. Well apparently this comment didn’t meet The Home Depot’s policy and they denied my review in the email they sent me. I guess The Home Depot doesn’t like honesty on their website comments. Fix the issue Home Depot, don’t filter true comments lol.Thank you 🙏
Ordered on line. When I called hd to inquire about curbside pickup, person had no idea how it worked.I drove to hd tried to get someone at returns to get my garage door opener, he handed my slip back and told me to look in isle 23 and walked away. When I tried to get someone to assist me at returns the would not make eye contact. I finally had to actually raise my voice at the one girl and told her i needed to check out.. She made it appear SHE was doing me a favor.
Appliance delivery is not at your convenience. I ordered a washer online and requested an afternoon delivery. The company who actually delivers appliances will not guarantee a time slot at your convenience and will only notify you 24 hours in advance of when they are coming. I ended up canceling the order because I couldnt get an afternoon delivery. My contractor picked up appliances at a different store on a different occasion and they were scratched when he got them to my house. I wont order from them again.
If if I could give this store less than one star I would. An order was placed and paid for online for roofing materials. I received confirmation that the order was at the store and ready to be picked up. I went to the store and paid an extra 85 dollars to have the materials delivered. Delivery was scheduled for that Saturday from 6 am to 8 pm. The materials were never delivered and no effort was made to contact me. I called the store on Sunday to find out where my materials were. I was disconnected three times. After being told that there wasn’t anyone available to answer my questions I decided to go to the store. Monday morning I drove to Bloomsburg to find out what was going on. I spoke with the store manager who told me that there was a mix up and the correct amount of items were not delivered by the supplier. She then told me that she called me on Friday to inform me of the mistake. However when I showed her the call log on my phone there were NO phone calls received from the Home Depot on Friday. All that she could say was “Well I called you.” I asked for a refund and went to Larry’s lumber where I ordered better materials AND saved three hundred dollars. Lesson learned. Shop local and you will get better service!,
TERRIBLE! Dealing here was a nightmare. We purchased a refrigerator. It had to be ordered and was scheduled to be delivered in 1 week. We received our email confirmation and phone call the day before. Didnt sleep after a night shift waiting for them. Nobody showed or called. Called the store and the manager kept telling us we needed to wait until out window was over. It was an hour past our window. Then they make a few calls and accuse us of not answering the phone, stated delivery was attempted. That never happened. Then we had to wait another week for delivery. Went to plug in the old refrigerator and it no longer worked, so an entire refrigerator and freezer of food now gone. Waited for the call for the second time. Finally came after 6 PM. I received 2 emails with 2 different windows. We received a call that only rang once and hung up. We were concerned this was the delivery driver and called. The customer service was confused by there being 2 delivery times on our order for the same day. We finally get the call and the delivery people show. They come in, remove doors and take my old refrigerator and leave it on my porch. When they went to the truck to bring in the new fridge, its not on the truck. Called the store they insisted on calling me back. Waited an hr and called again. Im then told they wont have an answer today. By this time Im beyond mad. I leave for work that evening and get another call around 8:30 from Mike telling me the new fridge was signed for so what do I mean I dont have it. Why on earth would I be on the phone, ticked off, if I had my new fridge? So now Im stuck with the inability to turn my water on, and a fridge on my porch and delivery guys who just took off. NIGHTMARE!! Then to accuse us of fraud was the tip of the iceberg. Never again!UPDATE: They never refunded my money. I call and they tell me they cant since they dont have the refrigerator in the Samsung warehouse. It never came to my home, it was never on the truck and nobody knows where it is. They are trying to refuse to refund my money at this point. Would never recommend doing business here.
Love the great service we receive from Home Depot. We travel from rural Williamsport to shop. The service a Lowes is horrific or lack of. Only spent 38. Dollars this time but that 38 . dollars worth of satifaction we dont get at Lowes in our home town. Thank You to Home Depot staff and Company
Dirty and cluttered..... Frustrating to get proper assistance...... 2 staffers couldnt answer my questions even though they were friendly it came as an upset.. 2 other staffers told me they werent from the department so they quickly left me..... One employee out of 5 actually helped me.......

2022-02-11Always good. Their Staff just seems more helpful and friendly then their Competition up the road. I was looking for shelving and the guy ran around looking for the proper size storage tubs, trying them out on the display unit to make sure I got the best fit. He actually carried some from the front to the back of the store where display unit was. I was super impressed and thankful. Got everything i needed,, plus they were on sale. Five Stars for sure from me. :-)

2022-07-03Associate working in the door department didnt know what a louvered door was.The one in the paint department pretended she couldnt hear what I was saying because I was wearing a mask, and after finally yelling my question a third time she answered me; when I walked away and said thank you under my breath and she said youre welcome so I guess she really could hear me after all. Rude and disrespectful!! Ill be giving my business to Lowes from now on.

2022-06-09Would never buy anything from here again!!!! Bought kitchen cabinets from here 2 months ago. They supposingly only got half the order in, so we picked those up. The other part of the order said it was coming on a later date so we waited and waited and they never showed up (a month later than what they were supposed to)!!! So we called and the manager was a joke and didnt seem to care at all and he said they were on back order and theyd be here June 9th-13th. Came here tonight and they checked in the back and theyve been here the whole time!!!! Customer service was ridiculous!!! They didnt even do anything to make it right (especially with them giving us the run around multiple times)!!

2022-04-08I ordered a lawn aerator to be delivered same day to my house. After waiting for 4 hours I was called by an Megan who works for this location saying they can’t find the item. I offered to pay the difference for the more expensive model and offered to come in store to pay the difference (to avoid being double charged on my card) then they said I can’t have it delivered until Monday and I won’t be here to accept the delivery. Furthermore when I was trying to work out a solution the only advice I was offered was to try an organize a delivery on my own online. It amazes me that in 2022 they can’t keep track of their own inventory nor are willing to help when they make a mistake.

2022-01-29Looking for samples to purchase 2000 sq ft of porcelain and luxury vinyl plank flooring. Only got 1 sample because thats all they had. Have to order samples online - terrible. Guess home depot doesnt care if they make some sales in store. Good porcelain selection. Poor selection in luxury 22+ml wear layer in vinyl planks.

2022-05-05Order a 21 piece Milwaukee hole dozer kit on sale and they just cancel the order. I’ll pass on Home Depot in the future, there are too many options for poor service, especially when ordered for a job. I buy a lot of tools I guess my business was yours to lose.
