I loved living from the first day I came and I loved dealing with both Lisa and Katy. When I dealt with them I was completely comfortable Lisa and Katy were very helpful in the signing process! It is also The place has a great location as well as an excellent and fast team I have had problems and helped me. Iconsider this place and get to know both Lisa and Katy and the team with them my birthday gift as I met them the day before my birthday and I was really happy . 😁💕 Also the place has a bus stop in front of him and this is what made my friends jealous of me not only for the wonderful apartment. And the place is close to Acme and many restaurants if you do not have a car would be a really wonderful and comfortable place because it is clean and safe from a lot of things. In conclusion, it is a wonderful place to live and quiet .Everyone who works here especially Lisa and Katie really will make you feel comfortable and work for a long hour you can talk to them at any time thank you 🌷💕.
As a current resident, I cannot mention enough how happy I am to call this place home. Metropolitan Bala is a great, clean, friendly apartment complex with wonderful tenants and stellar management. Lisa is always available to help you with whatever you need, always makes sure each and every problem you may encounter is solved, and compassionately ensures that your apartment becomes your home. Her dedication to each tenants well-being is illustrated by her friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality; she is always catching up with tenants and takes a genuine interest in everyones well being. In short, her selfless approach to management ensures that every tenant well taken care of. I have never had any issue with Lisa, the staff, or with the Metropolitan Bala. I strongly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a new home.
I lived here for a year and absolutely loved it! I knew I would like it from my initial tour that I signed my lease that day. The maintenance staff always responded quickly to complaints and made sure any issues were resolved quickly. Lisa was always helpful facilitating those and just general upkeep. The place has a small gym that I used the treadmill on days I didnt want to run outside. The location is a huge bonus. Theres a bus stop right in front of the place that takes you right into the city. Most times I just used Uber/Lyft and was in Center City in about 15mins. I found it perfect as I was right in-between the city and my job in the suburbs. I strongly recommend this apartment as its well maintained and in a very convenient location. I bought a house so I had to move, if not I would still live there.
The Metropolitan Bala has been such an incredible place to live! I just moved to Philadelphia this past year for school, and this apartment building is great for PCOM students and pretty much anyone looking for an apartment in Philadelphia. The building manager has been nothing but extremely helpful and is always available whenever you need something, and the maintenance team is amazing, Ive never had to wait more then a few hour to have something repaired, even though they say (24 hours) and they are so friendly and helpful. The building itself is super clean, quite ( great for studying) very up to date, it has a beautiful courtyard with multiple BBQ and lounge chairs and umbrellas, and they have a 24 hour fitness center filled with all the gym equipment you could need! Overall I love living here and I just renewed my lease! You wont regret living here
Convenient location not far from neighboring universities, shopping centers, and the Cynwood train station. Lived in a studio here for some time and compared to other places with studios I looked at in the area it was significantly more spacious and came with more amenities (gym, parking, package room under video surveillance). During my time living here I found Lisa and the rest of the property staff to be accessible, accommodating, and helpful as well.
I will try to make this unbiased even though I will never want to live here again!Pros:Water and some utility are included.Good location.Nice residentsCons:- Leasing office never returned my email, or took forever. [UPDATE: corporate recognized it and changed the management. New management team arrived before I moved out, so I dont know how are they. My comment is for previous management.]- Pricey compared to other apartments around.- There is a gym, but crappy. Equipment are so old and not well maintained.
I am a current resident. The building and location are beautiful. The apartments are roomy, and even though the building may look old on the outside it is somewhat modern on the inside. BUT, The management here is completely HORRIBLE! The current manager, Lisa, has no sense of customer service, and is RACIST, which is why I will not be renewing my lease. Please get better management, or you will be loosing all of your tenants. Stop sweeping the fact that there is poor management underneath the rug. As tenants we are FED UP, and pay wayyy too much money to not be respected. We have written letter to corporate and there still has not been a change. RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!!
Lisa and Katy were very helpful in the signing process! They were both very open and transparent with the lease as well as the move-in time frame. They worked with me and my work schedule to pick up my keys and are very prompt in their responses to me. It is also in a great location between Manayunk and Center City!
This is a great apartment and location for PCOM student. We went on a tour with our daughter. She was looking for an apartment for when she goes to PCOM. Lisa gave us the tour. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were very impressed, and we had looked at many other apartments. My daughters move in was very easy and everything was in great shape. Lisa has made the process very easy.
Ive lived here for a few years and have been very pleased with the management and maintenance service! All my interactions with staff have been positive. The apartments are spacious and clean. Theres a aesthetic lobby equipped with wifi, a gym, and a outdoor sundeck perfect for relaxation during the summer months.The location of the apartment cant be beat: 15min to center city, 8min to Manayunk, and 25min to king of prussia. Lots of convenience and grocery stores in walking distance. Also this is one of the few apartments with a garage (ideal for the winter).In summary: Im would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone! Definitely a hidden gem.Note: If you see reviews for Beekman Apartment that is the same as the Metropolitan Bala. Owners were switched a few years ago.
Fabulous Location! Large Apts! Excellent Management!! Lisa is extremely helpful and professional and so friendly. She will go out of her way just to say hello and see if everything is Ok.Excellent Maintenance guys, they come same day and fix what is needed. Building is very clean!!! Great team there. They are very friendly. Highly recommend.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!Lisa and the staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. It is very expensive and there are no perks. Parking is a hassle. You have no control over the AC/Heating in your room. The gym is never cleaned and they dont provide wipes for the machines. If something is wrong they wont care to help you, and if they do come to your room to fix something they will have no regard for your personal belongings. NOT RECOMMENDED!
Lisa was really helpful with showing me the building. She was very passionate about making my process as smooth as possible. I will be sure to recommend people to apply to this property.

2022-01-01This is the most horrible property to stay at and I would warn anyone from making that mistake!! The maintenance is one of the worst I have ever seen in my life. I have had an overflowing toilet since the last 5 months and no permanent solution has taken place so far. The service man who comes to fix the toilet is obnoxious and entitled and has the guts to throw attitude at me despite me being the one who is harassed. If you value your sanity definitely do not stay here where they dont care about you or think its important to resolve critical maintenance issues. Its disgusting!!!!!

2022-03-09One of the worst decisions of my life. From beginning to end. I was given an apartment I did not put a deposit on and it got worst snd worst. MICE EVERYWHERE. SATURATED IN THE WALLS. THE MANAGER SAID WELL WE ARE LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET FROM A WATER TREATMENT CENTER SO YOU WILL HAVE FIELD MICE. THATS FRAUD BECAUSE MICE WAS NOT ADVERTISED. I SLEPT IN MY CAR AND HOTELS FOR 2 MONTHS. THEY DID NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE

2021-11-22I would give them zero stars but of course that’s not an option. Firstly — MICE. You’re basically paying rent for the rodents because they are definitely residents. Yes the leasing office is aware, no they do not care. Secondly — Leasing office staff? Unresponsive. Great communication up until you sign your lease and then all of a sudden everyone is mute, line is unavailable and no assistance in the actual office. Oh! Almost forgot to mention the leaking A/C I’ve reported several times that no one has come to fix despite the many maintenance tickets I’ve submitted. Please skip this property - anything is better than living here.

2021-09-20I am pretty sure a lot of these reviews are fake or fabricated.My apartment was infested with MICE and mold, and a leaking AC that mildewed my carpet. The management team failed to respond to my concerns for over 10 days, leaving me to live “comfortably” with rodents. Once they finally responded. Instead of an exterminator, they put one single sticky trap inside. Still leaving the mold on one of my AC units.

2019-10-21Lisa made both the signing and moving in processes seamless. She has great attention to detail, and it is evident that she genuinely cares about the apartment complex and her tenants. The building is very well kept and always clean. The apartments are spacious as well. The location is ideal, as it is within walking distance to multiple plazas, restaurants, stores, etc. It is also conveniently close to Center City, and has a SEPTA bus stop right in front of the building. I definitely recommend living here.

2019-10-07I like Lisa and Katy, they are both very friendly and patient. I am a PhD student and just moved to Pennsylvania last month. The metropolitan bala is a perfect home for me and I would like to stay here for my next five years. I love the well maintained gym, clean hallways, the quiet sundeck, plenty free parking lot spaces and street parking. I wish I could have washer/dryer in unit but its actually not a problem sharing with tenants each floor. The laundry room is very clean, and I can find an available machine every time so far. Not to mention my new sweet home. The only problem for me now is I dont have any friends nearby (but my neighbors are very friendly). I hope they will host some tenant social events if possible. Definitely will recommendation here to my schoolmates if they consider moving.

2020-01-14Lisa is simply amazing and she is very considerate of what each persons needs are and what they are looking for when they are looking for a new apartment! My husband I thoroughly enjoyed our tour as well as enjoyed meeting with Lisa because she gave us all the information and she was genuine! Lisa is caring and her personality makes possible tenants feel comfortable regarding moving to Bala! I really appreciate all her help and looking forward to living at Metropolitan Bala! Not to mention the apartment is beautiful and in a safe area!

2019-03-16As a current resident, I can definitely say that the Metropolitan Bala is a great, safe and clean place to live. The location of the apartment is ideal, 10 minutes walk from some great restaurants, grocery stores and short taxi ride into town. The building is always clean and quite, it has its own gym, BBQ area and lobby (great place for studying, free wifi). The maintenance team is friendly and positive. They are always available to help and repair whatever you need. Lisa is a great and professional property manager to work with. Her knowledge, experience and skills at managing occupancy is brilliant. I think she always understands the needs of the tenants and continually assess the tenants satisfaction as regards the propertys amenities.I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

2019-10-23I have lived at Metropolitan Bala for 16 years. When Lisa Singer arrived I knew we were going to have a good office manager. She is friendly and always has time to hear about questions or issues you are experiencing in your apartment. 2019-06-11This is by far one of the best apartment complexes in the area! As a PCOM student, the price is very affordable and the maintenance staff is the best that Ive experienced. Everyone is very responsive to feedback and the few small maintenance problems that Ive encountered have been fixed within hours. Lisa and the rest of the staff are super friendly and genuinely care about each of the residents. Having had so many poor experiences at other neighboring complexes, Ive been more than happy with my decision to live in the Metropolitan bala apartments for the past year.
