We had ice damming in our gutter which caused a leak. They originally gave us $8,000 for repairs but retracted that payment. I had to apply for a loan to replace the whole roof and remediate mold. It took a long time to be approved for a no interest loan which was no fault of my own, just a long process. I have since received a cancellation notice due to neglect which is not true. The date for replacement and repairs has been set. They basically set us up after we payed thousands on the policy throughout the years
Had policies with them for a few years. After a bad storm called to file a claim. This is when you realize what kind of company this is. So far extremely disappointed. Their contracted adjuster was the worst. Two weeks after the storm still have not been contacted for appointment.
Overall good service and professional. A little slow to start the claims process since it was the weekend and the after hour service were not responsive however, once I got assigned with my field claims rep, it was smooth sailing from there. My rep was very responsive via phone and email. The restoration company they sent out, Cardinal Restoration were excellent. The guys did a good job and worked quickly. I also used them for the remodel and could not be any happier with their level of work & service.
Everyone from the assessment, to the remediation, to the restoration of my flooded basement was professional, skilled, reliable and - really helpful and thoughtful in their dealings with me.I expect insurance companies to try to cut corners, always say not covered and try to get out of paying any cost to serve the client. PC is the opposite. They went above and beyond on everything. I cant imagine a more responsive insurance co. They really have integrity. ( I know this is really glowing, but I really am a customer. They were just great.)
I went with this company because their quote was lower than bundling with my auto insurance. I had a claim for a lightning strike on my chimney. They were prompt and courteous. They immediately reimbursed me for what I paid out. Im very pleased. Mr. Hayes was helpful and responsive.
They dont even deserve a star. The experience my family and I have been enduring this past 2 1/2 months have been awful due to the lack of communication, professionalism, and negligence specifically. Our adjuster is awful and has dragged this process over 2 months and still the contractor needs more info from our adjuster to even start on our house. We arent living in the best conditions currently and Philadelphia does not care or even act like they do when we express our concerns including our complaint with a representative on the phone had nothing to say after we discussed our issues which reassures there not Profesional and do not care about there service they give.We are switching soon as this nightmare is over. I reccomend anyone who reads this to please go else where for insurance because your family and mental health shouldnt have to endure there negligence.
I had purchased homeowners insurance through the Philadelphia Contributionship in 2017 and had never had a reason to file a claim until now. When I purchased the insurance, my personal agent told me how wonderful it was because you could have an inland flood added to the policy. We opted to do so and on Christmas Eve our home began to flood. I placed my claim and due to it occcurring on a holiday no one could come out until New Years Eve. Since then I had been calling and e-mailing my agent trying to get some information as to what was occurring to no avail. Finally today January 13,2021 I received a generic form e-mail denying my claim coverage. The e-mail was addressed to a “Mr. Rouse”, whom I have no idea who that is as that is not my name. Additionally said claim made no mention of my flood insurance that I pay extra for every month. When my agent contacted the exact individual who sent the denial e-mail, he stated that he had no idea what was going on and the claim would be reopened. If this is not reconciled I will be forced to demand my premiums for the inland flood insurance to be returned to me as apparently they do not cover what they claim they do. In any event I would recommend staying as far away from this company as possible as they appear completely inept and are not willing to provide coverage that has been paid for!!!
I had a toilet over flow at the end of Jan and caused a wreck in my house . It is April and this insurance company has yet to settle the whole claim. They sent an independent adjuster who clearly stated i would not want to use cabinets that poop water has touched. I have a cabinet now that has mold. They do not care because their family is not exposed to the mold. There standards are way below other reputable insurance companies. Do yourself a favor get State Farms or a reputable insurance company because Philadelphia Contribution is the worse. it gets a negative 0 from me. They are beyond horrible
We had a claim for a new roof this past year. The insurance adjuster worked with the roofing contractor for a quick resolution of the claim. I would have given the company 5 stars except there was a glitch with the check we received. We have no mortgage on our home. We have a line of credit which is at 0. The check was made out to my husband, myself and the bank where the line of credit is. This proved to be a big problem for depositing the check. The bank required forms to be filled out and then the forms and check had to go to a special department for review. They had to approve all of it before a deposit could be made. This seemed an unnecessary complication since we did not owe the bank anything. If the insurance company wanted to make sure the money went towards the roof it would have made more sense to have the contractor on the check since they would be getting the money anyway.
Recently had water damage from a backed up toilet that ruined a fair bit of our basement, first floor, and some furnishings. Our property claim rep, Karen, was absolutely perfect and helpful throughout the process. She was communicative (even though this happened over the holidays) and helped us understand the process fully. Karen and the entire team at Philadelphia Contributionship were extremely professional and helpful throughout. Very happy we have this company for our homeowners insurance.
Working with both the adjusters who came out to my mothers house and Karen S. our Claim Rep the entire process was extremely professional, responsive and the truly caring nature in what we were going through was sincere. I would highly recommend working with this group.
I had a lot of storm and wind damage to my roof and a leak in my kitchen ceiling from it that caused water damage. Soon after I reported my claim online my inside property claims representative Karen Sitzenstock contacted me by phone. She was kind, super efficient and very easy to work with. This was my first experience with a homeowners insurance claim, and she was so patient and thorough with answering all of my questions. What could have been a seriously stressful process was made smooth and effortless because of her excellent service and her great personality. Thank you Karen!
I never got a bill in 12/19/20 for payment of my insurance. Never got a cancellation letter in 2/21. The agent emailed me a copy of the cancellation letter on 2/8/21 at 8:35 am. By 12 noon a check was in the mail. I brought it right to the post office. They said the didnt get it by 2/23/21 and that I had to sign a statement of no loss. It was not my fault that I did not get the bill. I never missed a payment in all the year I have been with them. But I can not pay something I did not receive. And when I told customer service the lady would not help. She just said you have to sign the letter for reinstatement and three way called my agent. I didnt need my agent. Poor service and no help.
We had a bad storm and damage to our roof that was significant. The storm hit many homes on my street. My neighbors had to argue and complain to get help, some companies told them there was not a storm that day!! The Philadelphia Contributionship is my insurance and I had no issues. They had someone at my house asap, got the estimate, approved the claim and we got it fixed. No issues or worries. Can not say enough good things about them and my Sean Rau (Field Claim Rep). Thank you!!
I am extremely frustrated that I have to call a thousand times and send a bunch emails to even get a call back from the adjuster. My basement flooded basement flooded 2 months after I purchased my home. I had a hard time reaching my adjuster to get someone out. When they finally did send someone they said the damage was not covered. Go figure! Fast forward to almost a year later, my basement floods again. Of course I have to call a million times before the adjuster calls me back to send someone out. The company comes out assess the damages and said I should hear back later that evening or the next day. The remediation company called at 8am the next day and said everything was approved and that they could send someone out at 9:30. Im like pump your brakes. I feel the adjuster should have contacted me to explain what is actually being covered and if I have the option to pick my own contractors. two days later a million calls and emails later and I have still not heard back from the adjuster explaining the process. i call the representative to see what my options are and they tell me to call the adjuster as if thats not what ive already done smh. The price of the insurance is great but the customer service has been awful my past two experiences. I am cancelling this policy! Please dont let the cheap prices fool you because that is exactly what type of service you will receive!
During the harsh winter storms we encountered in 2021, I experienced significant property damage. Thankfully Philadelphia contributionship was on my side. My agent was Charles E. DeSantis. Charles went above and beyond to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible.Charles was always honest and I felt at ease knowing that everything was handled professionally. Charles made sure the contractors We were using was the best fit for the projects, he made sure they did what they said they would do and followed up with phone calls to insure they would meet there repair dates that was set.Charles was also very punctual that made everything so much smoother knowing that documents were being uploaded and payment were sent out in a timely manner. Purchasing a home is one of the largest investment we can make and protecting a home investment with Philadelphia contributionship followed up with the customer service from Charles E. DeSantis I would recommend this insurance for anyone looking for quality and professionalism. My family and I would like to thank Charles , and Philadelphia for everything you were excellent and we appreciate you guys and everything you done. Thank you !!
Worst insurance company ever. I had to file a claim in November 2018 due to snow damage to the awning of my home (it fell down and was hanging in front of my front door blocking entry to/from the house). When I called to file the claim, I had to speak with Karen. She was rude, aggressive, arrogant, and nasty. I was rushed off the phone and she would not let me tell any details of what was happening, or let me ask any questions. She did not send someone out immediately to inspect even though it was HANGING IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE. So, I was running my 2 year old child underneath the awning to and from my car every day – how dangerous! It took about 6 days for her to have the contractor contact me to SCHEDULE an inspection. The receptionist from the contractor was the nicest part of this whole process! She answered all the questions that Karen refused to answer (even though this wasn’t her job). I had already had my own contractor come out and estimate cost to replace (I live in a double home and my neighbor had already been PAID for his claim through Allstate at this point) and Karen refused to accept that estimate. I attempted to contact Karen multiple times over the next few days, as she was not following up about claim status. She did not return my calls, so I decided to log into their website to check my claim and find that it says “claim closed”. When I finally got her on the phone, she tells me that they are not paying to replace the awning, just to fix it – and had sent me a check for a fraction of what it was going to cost….. The entire awning was crinkled, broken, and in bent in about 100 places – NOT REPAIRABLE. I then had to speak with the supervisor because she would not listen to anything I was saying. Paul was more tolerable to deal with, but still not great. He never once gave me any explanation as to why Karen was so abrupt and not willing to be supportive throughout this process. I have since contacted my insurance broker to look for a new insurance. No wonder they have terrible reviews! Use any company but this one – they are crooks.
I work with TPC adjusters as a restoration contractor often. Some projects are smooth and some are very challenging. I have found that the positive can do attitude is what sets TPC apart form other insurance companies. It is so nice to have someone actually answer the phone or respond to an email in a timely manor. I wanted to call out Karen, Sean and Anthony for consistently doing a great job, and being a pleasure to work with.
I called in with a claim and it was closed on the weekend. It said only proceed if your house in inhabitable. I waited until Monday and called. Never received an email from my adjuster and when i called her she tried to force her contractor down my throat and told me that getting my contractor would not matter because she is going to go with the estimate that her contractor gave me . She also stated that i would have to wait because he has not uploaded anything to the system. First your contractor said he was booked 5 weeks out and is that not a conflict of interest? Also Karen was condescending. Not only did she send a email after my call stating thank you for taking my call . SMDH I called you and you have yet to ask me what personal items were damaged. SMDH. will call the better business bureau and Insurance advocacy . Very disappointed with this company. Get rid of the insurance if you have this company. Go with a reputable one . Not sure if this is how all black people are treated with this company but after seeing the pervious review it sure seems like it. My money is green like everyone else.
The costumer services was great, they listened to me , send the right people to assess the damage of my roof. The adjuster(Karen), promptly attended the claim and the check to do the repairs was processed very quickly. I would recommend The Philadelphia Contribution-ship, furthermore they are local and will easily relate to you quickly.
I recently had a claim. I was contact by the company right away. Its claim representative Joshua Kraft and his associate Mark Irwin handled my claim quickly. They are very professional and resolved my claim fairly. Glad I have several accounts with them. Its nice that you are covered.
This company has THEE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The two assessors I spoke with were both rude, condescending, argumentative, absurdly unprofessional and have left me with a very bad feeling about giving my money to this company. I guess they could tell I am Black, over the phone. That is exactly what “Melissa” and “Karen” made me think, when I spoke to them about a claim. Melissa was so drab and seemingly reluctant to help, I felt I didn’t have the right to call and inquire about a claim. Karen was very combative and insisted I was placing blame on her company for not following up on a claim. I never said anything like that. In fact, I started the conversation off with an apology for, myself, not following up on an initial phone call, of which the next steps I was not prepared to fulfill. I didn’t have an obligation to anything, I had just asked a question. I am very turned off by the apparent climate at this company. It’s not a good fit for me. I am paying you on time each month and I feel like I deserve a better experience when I call to inquire about anything.
I had a house fire in January 3, 2020. The agent did send a check out for being put out of my home on January 8th, 2020. Since then I have submitted receipts for what was purchased. I have actual cost value. SO i sent the receipts in so I can get the remainder back. I have an extremely hard time getting the checks. My contractor said my damage was $220,000 and they had to wait a month to get $110,000 just to start the job. Now they are almost completed and still have not sent out another payment. The mortgage company is even calling me and asking me if another check has been mailed out for the contractor. Being they have to put it in escrow. On my personal belongings I was told we will make this as painless as possible. THAT IS NOT THE CASE! I have 3 children, a dog, and a husband who travels. We went a month with out our pet. Then we got a rental house. I have to call the insurance adjuster and ask where everyones money is and try to stay on top of them as well as the contractor. The first company who came out was DRS and this is the company my insurance adjuster said to call. They were a complete joke.We will be moving into our house this weekend with no kitchen. The house we were renting sold. So I started to buy everything we need. I sent in over $18,000 in receipts and some of that is fully reimbursements and the rest is getting the actual cost back. The adjuster had me make a spread sheet with everything that was lost and put the cost to replace it. Then sent me some money and I asked for the break down so I knew if I was getting the right amount back or not. Still havent received that either.I have sent my adjuster emails after emails and what I get is you should have your check next week. It has been 4 weeks that I should of had some sort of check. Now that I spent all the money they sent me plus some I have to get a washer and dryer lower quality then what I had. because of waiting for the money. I emailed the adjuster yesterday and he said Ill call you tomorrow to go over what is owed to you. So I guess he has yet to put the request to make a check out to me yet. Its always the same thing you will have a check next week. I should not have to keep on them to do their jobs. Also Philadelphia does not do direct deposit so you have to wait a week or two to even get your money.I would love to have a detail list of what they paid out and have what I sent in paid out to me. Its so hard to do this and work full time with a family. Once everything is all said and done I will update my review and we will see if anything has changed. I also have all the emails to back my complaint.
I’ve been a homeowner for 8 years now and thankfully have never needed to file a claim. My agent Jason Gant was Awesome! He was so kind and patient regarding all of my needs and questions to understand the entire process! He made it extremely quick, easy and super painless to inspect, file and complete my claim in a matter of days! I now know and understand more regarding my homeowners insurance policy and have complete faith in Philadelphia Contributionship if I ever may need them in the future! Thanks so much your time and efforts it is greatly appreciated!
My claims adjuster was Jason Gant. I had an ice dam on my roof which caused considerable damage on the inside of my home. Jason acted quickly and approved the estimate for repair. I would highly recommend Philadelphia Contributionship to anyone searching for a good and reliable company!
I had a claim at an investment property I own. It was my first claim with Philadelphia Contributionship and I couldnt be more happy with everything from start to finish. The adjustor was friendly, competent and communicative. They timely sent out the reimbursement check and kept in touch as things progressed. I want to switch all my properties to them for coverage, solely based on this experience!
We had an unbelievably positive experience with our homeowners insurance claim. I couldnt recommend this company more highly. Our adjuster was prompt, helpful and very thoughtful. My husband and I are extremely grateful we had the Philadelphia Contributionship to help us.
**UPDATE**I have one additional update. Michele & team really turned it around. The second opinion did end up finding damage, and they were very prompt with the entire process. Although the beginning was very rocky, I will say the ending was much better. We were treated respectfully and were informed right away with the remaining steps in the process. I am adding one more star since I do feel that Michele did take feedback & took steps to fix issues that were called out.**UPDATE**I just wanted to give a slight update to this review. I am increasing from 1 to 3 stars because the company did call back to give a second opinion after I complained on google, directly to them and through the insurance agent. Sadly, it took all of what was below to get to this point, but it would be unfair to not acknowledge this. Michele was also much friendlier on the phone this time around.**ORIGINAL**Save yourself the trouble and please just pay more for the better insurance company. We thought we would save some money and go with the cheapest rate. We could not be more sorry and we sure learned this lesson the hard way. Our entire neighborhood had a hail storm with severe hail damage. Every other neighbor with companies like State Farm and Erie have had 0 problems filing a claim and getting it approved. They sent an adjuster from Boyer & Pentek who was the rudest and most unprofessional person I had ever met in my life. He refused to even look for hail damage, refused to answer questions and was literally walking to his truck as I was trying to ask him for general information to better understand the process. He couldnt get out of here fast enough. We provided additional photos that were undeniable proof from my contractor, and Michele Robinson still refused to approve a second opinion. I never write bad reviews (you can check my history and know that Im a pretty positive person - I even raved about a sandwich lol) and have never filed a claim during my entire home ownership thus far, but this experience has deserved one. It was impossible to get her to call back ever. I called multiple times a day for a week and left messages with 0 response. I had to email her in which I would get these one worded answers and not hear back for days and days. All I wanted was a second opinion from someone who did not immediately discount myself or my contractor before even looking at the roof. I was even willing to let the company choose. If the second person would have said there was no damage then ok, we move on; however, my contractor had visible proof that was just undeniable. I just cant understand the push back for a second opinion. It doesnt seem like an unreasonable request to me? So, again save yourself the trouble and spend the extra 100.00! Youll thank me later! I am sure there are other people at this company that are great, but I unfortunately did not get one of those people!
The disaster in my kitchen when drain pipes broke under our floor was devastating. They had to jack hammer our floor. When I called n talked w Karen Sitzenstock things started to look up. She knew exactly what to do. Karen took me step by step through the process of getting our kitchen and my life back. She responded to emails n phone calls promptly. Through the whole process I never felt like I was just a customer. I could not begin to tell you how great full I was to have Philadelphia Contributionship as our insurance provider and especially with our agent Karen.
I have had many properties insured with this carrier for years and have started the process of finding a different company. I just had my first claim and it took several weeks to process. The adjuster didnt even work for the company; they were hired help. I was greeted with rudeness when I called to follow up. The person handling my claim never returned any calls or emails. I ultimately got a call from him MINUTES after my broker called to inquire with them. He told me that my claim was denied. Even my broker was surprised that not even part of the claim was covered. I expect an insurance company to be expedient, trustworthy and fair. Insurance is about all of these things and I got none, so I can no longer justify the premium. Do yourself a favor and research what carrier your broker is choosing for you and pick a name you can trust; even if it means a higher premium - theres nothing more expensive than cheap insurance.
Incredible kindness and genuine willingness to be helpful. Chris was extraordinarily patient in helping me navigate my claim. He saw to it that I got every penny of insurance money that was due...and I got it within days. I can say the experience was a pleasant one and I never could have expected that a fire could be a pleasant experience! I have never made a claim before, and I hope I never have to again, but I do know that I will be forever grateful to Chris and a devoted insured at Philadelphia Contributionship.
My house was damaged due to a fire may 24th 2018. It took many months to settle with the company. Finally received a pay out in sept 2018. My contractor work extremely hard to provide this company with updates including pictures. He had to file for supplements many times due to this company not covering what was agreed to. Now the company will not return the many calls placed to nick haze to receive our final check so we can finish what is left to be repaired from the fire. My yard looks like a giant fire pit with damage, rocks, nails and glass everywhere. I have dogs and child and the back remains unsafe and again no return calls on this matter. It has been almost a year. I would like to know exactly what the hold up is for us to receive our money. If we didnt pay for our insurance we would have had our policy canceled yet its ok for this company to write us off as if our home doesnt matter while we continue to pay for our policy
We had a water leak problem in our house which required a major plumbing work. As soon as we provided necessary details to the web-based claim reporting tool, a check was sent to us. Im super happy with the quality of service they provided via a contractor Mutual Boiler Re.
We had a mold problem in our garage and master walk in closet. I contacted our insurance company not knowing if they would do anything about it.We had only been with this insurance group for about a year. They sent out Ken their claims representative and he could not have been more professional and nice. They covered the roof repair, removed the mold, fixed the walls and even payed for the dry cleaning for my wifes clothes ( very important ).Also The Philadelphia Contributionship was about half the price of the other insurers.
I am beyond frustrated with Philadelphia Contributionship and Mark1 restoration. This started in May after the storm when we had our roof evaluated by a local trusted roofer because of the large amount of storm damage that occurred to most homes in our neighborhood as well as the surrounding area. It was determined by the certified hail specialist that the roof indeed has damage caused by hail including on the soft metal ridge vent as well as the flashing.I made a claim and I was told that a representative from Mark1 Restoration would be out. Within 2 weeks they were out. I made multiple followup calls to Philadelphia Contributionship in July and August after not hearing anything. Several people were on vacation during these attempts including Todd and his boss.My first return call was from Mark1 Restoration offices asking what I needed and if I wanted to schedule the roof replacement. I was confused as to why my return call was coming from them and not the insurance company. I told her I was still waiting to hear back from the insurance company. It was finally determined that the restoration company dropped the ball and never reported back to the insurance company, apparently the employee that did the evaluation was no longer with the company. In my opinion Philadelphia Contributionship also dropped the ball by not following up on an outstanding claim for MONTHS!I was eventually contacted by Mark Rosier from Mark1 restoration who said he would be out in 4 days. It rained, he said he would then be out later in the week. 1 month...not week....1 MONTH after he initially made contact with me and 5 Months after I filed the claim he finally showed up and inspected the roof.He later reported to the insurance company in an email saying no damage had occurred and then telling Todd from PC Attached is the Hail inspection report with photos for the Michael and Jylana Thomas claim in Glen Rock for your review. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I am sure this will be an uphill battle with this homeowner because 3 of his neighbors received new roofs.Since then over 12 roofs have been replaced in the neighborhood including directly across the street and right next to me...all insurance approved claims due to the storm that did so much damage to the area.I had the roofer come out again after the initial decline and do additional plotting. He again showed the soft metal damage, the hail dimples, etc. in great detail.I find it interesting that the insurance company and restoration company is saying the issue is because my roof is a 16 to 17 year old roof when the home is only 14 years old at time of inspection, that doesnt add up.So it looks like Mark Rosier was correct, but in this case it has been an uphill battle for me as the client not the insurance company. I am sitting here over 7 months after filing a claim and getting declined not because of my timeline but because of a poorly managed branch of Mark1 restoration company and an insurance company that continuously dropped the ball, didnt follow up on my claim, and drug this out for a very extended period of time.
I would like to say that earlier this year in the summer months we had a lot of thunderstorms .i had a lot of water damage to my house and Karen of this company went above and beyond to make sure I got the money in time before other rain damaged my house even more. I dont think she could have done any more than she did and it has been greatly appreciated by my family. she is a wonderful person that really cares about people.I would like to add to my response. we just recently had another claim because we had wind damage to our roof and our door and this time our personal contact with Sean and he was just an amazing person. There are not enough words I can say about this company . they care they are fast and they are very precise and they are very very wonderful caring people. I could not be happier with this company if I tried. Sean is a plus plus. Top notch
Buyer beware. They never paid our flood insurance for 2018. No notice, no apology. Then told me it was my fault and I have to contact the mortgage company. Um, no. Then they renewed our homeowners insurance this year after we canceled both policies. Not to mention, they’re highly overpriced. We saved $1500 by switching to Henry Young Insurance. This use to be a good, reputatable company...not sure what happened.
Outstanding service and wonderful people. I had honestly never heard of this insurance company but they came highly recommended by my realtor. I had significant water damage that destroyed my kitchen floor. My agent, Ray Kiker, was courteous and fast. The work was assigned to Cardinal Restoration who did a fantastic job. I love my kitchen again! You cant go wrong with this company.
I filed a claim for hail damage. At the beginning the experience was quite frustrating because I was assigned an adjuster out of Philly instead of one near me in Pittsburgh. The communication was very poor and while my neighbors were getting checks within a week I couldnt even get an estimate done! After complaining to my insurance broker, he requested a change in adjuster. Thats when I got Jason P. Gant. Day and Night experience. Jason jumped on my claim immediately and was extremely responsive and kept communications clear and concise. I really enjoyed his serviceable approach and the education he offered through the process. While my initial review would have granted no more than 1 star, Jason truly made a difference. After comparing this insurance company to that of some of my neighbors; Id say their product is much superior. And, if you get someone like Jason, Id say that makes it a top tier Company.
Im not one to usually write many reviews, however this one I strongly felt needed to be written. My adjuster, Nick Hayes deserves to be recognized for the exceptional service he has given throughout this long process. He was very professional and knowledgeable. As a first timer, he made the whole process painless for me. He was always very patient, caring and kind. Now a days, you dont usually come across someone who is willing to go above and beyond their regular obligations. However, he was superb in every way, there should be more employees like you! You are far beyond 5 stars, Nick Hayes! Youre a huge asset to the company and didnt want it to go unnoticed! Thank you for all your help!
We have never filed a homeowners claim before in our years of owning our home. Our adjuster, Jason Criswell was very understanding, professional and actually took time to explain the process, payments and answered all questions that we had.Highly recommend this company! Customer service is number one with Philadelphia Contributorship! Thanks again!John and Anne Whelan
We had a heartbreaking builders incompetence nightmare of the stonework on our home. This company came out and looked over the entire front of our home and a week later we were told we were covered completely. Our check is being mailed out already and we can have our beautiful home once again look beautiful but done correctly. We were overjoyed to hear that they wanted to fix our home, and so quickly!!! They were courteous and response time to any emails were immediate! If you need insurance on a home you are purchasing or want to change your insurance, make sure you contact Philadelphia Contributionship!Wendy & Keith
It’s very disheartening when you start reading reviews and everything seems to familiar to the experience you’ve had with this company. I was just advised that my claim was denied and the reason for denial could not be explained to me “Because Joseph was running late for a 12pm meeting and it would take to long.” I have read my policy and have had conversations with the broker about it and I was confident the claim would be covered. Now to wait a week to receive a letter explaining why it was denied.Terrible customer service, rushed me off the phone and advised me that I knew best of what happened to my wall! Yes you’re right! What I explained to the first adjuster is what happened!
I have not had an insurance claim in decades. I was actually shocked how quickly The Philadelphia Contributionship people responded. That day someone was out to access damage. next day the adjuster was here. within a week I had a check to cover my repairs. Awesome people to deal with.
Nick Hayes was excellent, he contacted me on the phone and through email and walked me through the entire process. What at first feels like your world is flipped upside down after a fire , PC came out and had me covered. The written cost of damage and payout amount was written probably within 24 hours of making the claim. I really appreciate the support and help it was extremely comforting professional.
My husband and I just bought a house about 2 months ago . Our insurance agent recommended this company . Which at the time was fine . Rates were fair . Well jump forward to last week when we got a call from our agent stating that we were being cancelled . Had no idea why initially . Then we were told by our agent that it was because we had a German Shepherd and apparently its a liability issue . Ok I get that to a degree . But our dog is 11 years old very friendly ( could get a bunch of written letters attesting to that) and not to mention has arthritis , so hes not out chasing down anyone . Also we dont even have a fence around our yard , NEVER DID ! Its ridiculous that my dog is judged by his breed . Cases like this need to judged and reviewed on a case by case basis , not automatically assume hes vicious !! So needless to say we found another insurance company that doesnt jump the gun and just write us off for an unjust reason . Thanks for nothing !! Ill spread the word !!
Been with this company over 20 years. They are very good at taking your money. They are very bad at contacting you, answering questions, accepting the duties of their company. Customer service is worse than I have ever had in my life. After many calls of no responses...I called the reception staff, explained that my agent can never be reached and I would like to discuss my case...please tell her to pick up the phone. The staffer physically went to her desk....and still she refused to take my call!!!!My claim was 10/11/18. No guidance at all. Sent Mark 1 to take photos. Company denied claim based on photos that were not even part if the damage!!!!
In August, at age 79, we bought our dream house. In October we learned the sewer system was comletely destroyed and a sinkhole had formed under our house. We had only had our insurance with the Philadelphia Contributionship for 2 months when this happened. I checked our coverage with Karen M. Sitzenstock and learned we had line coverage. She quickly went to work on our claim and we received a check for the full amount of our coverage. For a small company, this one has a lot of heart and good business ethics. I will certainly be renewing with them.
We would give it less than one star if we could. We had a back up from our basement floor drain before a rain storm hit our area on June 20, 2019. First, the call went to Texas, but the person said she needed to make sure which plan we were covered under. Had a local adjuster that lost the pics and another adjuster from the company assigned. We were told that we were covered under our rider plan because the water came up threw the floor drain. (Our neighbors were covered under drain back up in their basements because the water came up through the floor). A few weeks later, we had not received any info regarding the coverage. We had asked Joe about which coverage we were covered under and why. He said we were covered under the rider plan and he would get back to us. Andrea called and still said we were covered under the rider and would send the letter out regarding coverage not under the rider. They changed their minds. We were told because of the rain after the back up, we were not covered. Today we were told by Andrea, who was quick and impatient that were not covered under any part. its a shame to have to deal with some folks that are less than professional. No one is listening. I do not recommend this policy even though at the time of purchase it seemed more than adequate.Update* We are covered! Hallelujah ❤️
I cant begin to thank this insurance company, and my agent Karen Sitzenstock. We had damage to our home from a failed sump pump. I made one call to reach Karen, and she responded immediately. Next day she had Service at my home helping to repair the damage. I had no wait at all, and the situation was handled immediately. Karen was very kind, friendly, and understood our dilema. Thank you again for your assistance during this stressful and trying time. I would definitely recommend Philadelphia Contributionship, and also Karen!!!! Sincerely Haley and Jamie
My fiance and I are in the middle of a stressful home sale process. We had a plumbing issue uncovered during a sewer test and thought the sale would be ruined. The Philadelphia Contributionship assisted us in finding out how our insurance could help and making sure our claim was processed expediently so it did not endanger our home sale. Laurie DiPasquale was incredibly helpful and a great ally in a stressful time. Thank you !
The Philadelphia Contributionship made a very stressful and difficult situation a lot easier and more manageable with their fast response. We were able to limit the damage and move quickly to repairing the problem. They were prompt and efficient. I would certainly recommend.
We had made a claim on our house during this last recent hailstorm on the 29th of May. An adjuster from United claims services was sent out at the beginning of the this month and said that our roof was heavily damage from the hail along with other parts of our property including our interior ceiling. I had tried contacting our adjuster from Philadelphia contributionship a few times since we made the claim and have heard no status updates on where we are at. I have also sent Philadelphia contribution 2 separate emails to their claims department and have gotten no emails back. On the 29th of june it will be a month since we made the claim and have gotten nothing. We are extremely disappointed by this company. We just want to find out what our coverage is so we can move along and fix things before it gets worse. It seems like they do not care.
I had a power surge that destroyed several costly appliances and my garage door opener. They came out quickly to access the damage and cut me a check for fait value of the damages including the cost of an electrician. It was fast and fair, the way insurance should be but not what you always expect. Very happy.
I currently have an open claim for smoke damage to my property that was filed on February 20th, 2019. To date, the claim has not been paid. I spoke to my adjuster from (TPC) Dan Green about 3 weeks ago. He said that he was sending his estimate out that week and never did. I just recently spoke to Dan Green 5/28/19 again who still at this point, has not sent his estimate to my adjuster. I have been with The Philadelphia Contributionship for over 12years. I filed one claim about 2years ago prior to for another matter and was denied. As a customer, I am very dissatisfied and have come to the conclusion that this is an act of Bad Faith. I would like to speak to someone can bring swift closure to what absolutely makes no since to me and heres the kicker, the house that caused damage to my property, their insurance company State farms has already paid out their claim and started the rebuilding.
We changed Insurance at the suggestion of our agent, when we discussed the high rate we were paying. He told us Philadelphia contributionship had a better rate and was a good company. What a mistake! We have hail damage to our roof. We had 3 different roofing companies look at our roof, and tell us there is damage. (Our neighbors all have damage as well. Their insurance companies have taken care of their roof damage). Philadelphia Contributionship sent their representative to assess the damage of our roof. We were told there is no damage! We still fighting this claim. Do yourself a favor, do not waste your money on this company.
These people did an excellent job for me. If you have trouble with an insurance company you probably did not follow the rules. They got my house cleaned up within hours of the loss and helped me get the place dried out. Then they coached me through the process of getting estimates and repairs. They were fair, very thorough and paid my claim promptly.
I must acknowledge the professionalism and expertise of Joshua D. Kraft, Field Claim Representative III in handling my recent homeowners claim. My initial challenge was going through the insurer (Chubb) of the negligent 3rd party delivery company who caused the water damage at my home while alerting Joshua of the claim (7/22/20). It is most satisfying to be treated the way my company treats its client. Joshua is an tremendous asset to your organization.Tony Liberatore,President of Special Risk Insurance Services, Inc.
Ive been with this company for a few years already for my home insurance. I dont contact them much. But not satisfied with this company. My wife recently had a legal name change and I called the companys office for help and they refused to help and asked me to contact my agent. I emailed them previously for the same matter and never got any response. Ridiculous customer service. I guess they are just happy to collect money.
Karen was awesome. Had the unfortunate experience of having to place a claim and Karen guided me through the whole process. I should be receiving my claims check any day now. When I invest into insurance company, I want to know that they will stand behind me and their promise. Philadelphia Contributionship did just that.
They have fair rates but that comes at a cost.If you ever need to make a claim be prepared for a long drawn out process. They will not respond to your calls/emails. and if you call to complain about it, they will have a manager call you and talk to you like you are a child and not worth their time.Look, I know the price can be tempting, but spend a little more and go with a different company. You will thank yourself if you ever need to make a claim. I myself will be switching once this whole ordeal is dealt with.If you are in a place where you need to make a claim, you are most likely stressed, it doesnt help dealing with unresponsive and rude people when you already have that level of stress.
By far the absolute worst experience ever. The adjuster is completely unresponsive, they device to go out for a few days with out letting you know or having a colleague handle the claim. Like hello! This is my home we are talking about, not no darn pair of shoes. On top of that, they speak to you with such disrespect as you are not worth their time or that you are an illiterate. It’s gets better with the supervisors they don’t even let you speak and explain with our cutting you off. The absolute best part of this whole thing is they are extremely prejudice when it comes to the claims, and maybe even do racial profiling. Had a very un necessary comment made by the adjuster which should not be acceptable. She has yet to apologize for btw. They need to be trained on providing a better customer experience, making sure to address all matters with EMPATHY and SYMPATHY. Which they lack.
The Philadelphia Contributionship home insurance has done an excellent job in helping me out to repair the damage brought by the water in my basement. They are reliable, put their words into actions, & no hesitance to help their customers. I recommend The Philadelphia Contributionship to any homeowners!
Few days before Christmas of 2018, my basement got flooded due to sump pump failure causing considerable damage to my finished basement and belongings. The professional and courteous representatives of Philadelphia Contributionship encouraged me to repair damages and assured me of full coverage. I am thankful that I was covered in full for all my basement restorative work. I have recommended this company to my friends.
I would highly recommend The Philadelphia Contributionship to anyone looking for a very reasonable price and excellent Custom Relations. If i could give Karen more stars, i definetley would. The reason I am writing this is to tell you howpleased I am with Karen Sitzenstock, she has been so wonderful in handlingmy case. This is the first time that I have ever put in a claim for any typeof insurance, and Karen was so kind and understanding. I wasnt sure what toexpect, but the fashion that Karen answered my questions and concerns, andthe timely fashion in the way she responded to my emails was beyond myexpectations. I am sure that you know that dealing with damage to your homeis quite stressful, Karen went out of her way to make us feel comfortableand relieved at the same time. I am kinda in the Customer Service businessmyself, and I always try to do my best in helping clients out, thats why Iwanted to point out how exceptional Karen was in dealing with oursituation.I know that people like Karen, work very hard for their clients, and again Icannot thank her and your company enough, for trying to help us in a time ofneed. It really helped my wife and I out, she actually relieved a lot ofstress and pressure that we have had to deal with financially.I just wanted to let you know that you have a great employee in Karen.
I would like to thank Nick Hayes for making this easiest process for filing claim I ever had to file the guy was extremely responsive and followed with me every step of the way. Truly a genuine person and great employee of this Company. If your not hiring more people like him I don’t know what your doing. Exceeded expectations!!
This company must really forget the main ingredient of business and thats customer service. Im surprised they are still in business. Ive dealt with an agent named Joseph Garrity. At first he seemed very helpful to help with my claim. I had a tree fall on my house and garage. While waiting for him to even respond which took two weeks i had to take matters in my own hand and have a tree service come cut and take the tree off the property. I figured it was no swear because i have home owners insurance and they will take care of it, heck thats what i pay for in situations like this. Joe didnt believe the goods in my garage deserved to ad valauable after the inspector told him about the amount of fishing rods etc . Joe wanted more pictures which didnt exist because i couldnt wait on his slow timetable so i had everything removed. During this duration he finally sends a check with my name on it. So the bank wouldnt cash it. I had to reach out to his boss, to get things moving. Mind you i paid 6,000 for the tree removal i only received 2,500. So this process took over three months in total, from an agent who only email and dont call and talk to you. Please run from this company, as my family an i will in Feburary when our agreement expires
I am a new homeowner and experienced a disaster in my first month of living here. I called my homeowners insurance company up and Karen M Sitzenatock was great. She helped me get through this tough time and got my family reassured that everything was going to be okay. Cant say enough good about this company I am very pleased....
The company accepted payment from mortgage company after it was cancelled. Once I called to get refund it took nearly 10 followups to get the check finally issued and once it arrived a month after they said it was mailed it was for the wrong amount. Another 5 calls later and hours wasted finally got the correct refund amount issued. It is 3 weeks since that date and the checks still havent arrived. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I got the policy, they beat prices.. then canceled the policy after they got my money. Just like the other gentlemen in reviews. Most companies have standards to what they call uneven pavement, these people are loose about it. It can be less then half inch and thats enough, it could be your neighbors slab that is off; DONT MATTER.... Then youre required to get a letter from the neighbor?? For instance allstate says 3 inches Institutes a trip hazard. This company seems tougher then the norm to satisfy.
Philadelphia Contributions is awesome! Anytime our business has a claim theyre easy to work with and stays on top on things. Anytime someone calls or emails me I feel like Im talking to someone I have known for yours. We hear so many horror stories about insurance companies but Philadelphia Contributions is an exception to the rule.
It’s almost been a month since I made a claim for when someone broke into my house and stole my computer. I had a break in the previous year and someone stole something out of my car, apparently they needed a copy of that police report and the new which anybody I spoke to don’t understand why and their response was we need to do our own investigation into these matters 😂 Like ok, if the police , a search warranty to Apple themselves to locate the device on the previous break, and fingerprinting didn’t work I’m not sure what anybody is investigating. It’s a done matter and my company replaced their iPad and has moved on. I’m also waiting for them to tell me a custom gaming computer less than a year old has depreciated this amount and try to cheap out on replacing it when the same parts to rebuild the same computer cost the same amount or if not even more. Besides taking forever to do this “investigation” the agent was rude as could be. I’m usually a very relaxed person but I was pretty close to completely flipping out on her.
What can I say about The Philadelphia Contributionship....Theyre a bunch of crooks! When I purchased my home, I signed up with them and everything was fine until mother nature decided to strike and it was a big hassle from there. Ive left numerous messages with Frances to reach out to me regarding my insurance and no one reach out to me not once! I finally took a ride to the insurance company to find out that they are dismissing my house insurance because Im considered a liability risk! No notice and no phone call! So let me get this straight, a tree falls on my deck and my insurance is refusing to give me insurance now because of mother natures act?! What type of bulsh*t is this?! What am I paying insurance for? So they find another insurance that accepted me and had me pay almost $2000 to then received a letter in the mail stating that by 11/18 theyre canceling my insurance?? Where the hell is the money that I just paid On Sept? These people are crooks! Theyll take your money and then tell you basically you better not have any incidents with your home or well cut you off and keep your money! I will be taking further action and I would not recommend anyone purchasing home owners insurance with The Philadelphia Contribtionship!
Terrible...just terrible. Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. It’s always call someone else. They never take accountability. I was promised payment for a claim and was told to wait 2 weeks only to call back and for them to tell me that I wasn’t receiving a check?! Their response? Sorry we can talk to the individual who said this but we can’t pay you. I’m mad that I’ve been paying them for years. From what I can see others are saying the same. Liars and scammers please stay away!!
I am having a DEPLORABLE time dealing with a adjuster...I reported a claim last TUESDAY...its now going on Thursday again right next to the weekend..NO ONE HAS BEEN SENT TO MY HOME TO EVALUATE THE ROOF PROBLEM....NO ONE...My adjuster had told me they have 10 to 14 days to respond...mean while...I have a leaking roof....damage inside...cant do any repairs until insurance comes out... my area is having rain EVERYDAY...BUT THEY ARENT CONCERNED..I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO . ..I have asked for a contact email for easier access to conversation and emailing the estimates I have gotten...Everyday that goes by is potentially causes more damage... especially with all the rain....how do I get anyones attention??? Ive had two conversations with this adjuster and she has been rude and condescending..... Treating me as if I went on the roof and Ive caused the damage..
I have nothing but great things to say about this insurance company! Dan Green is a wonderful agent. He was professional, friendly and fair. He walked us through the entire process after a sewage pipe burst in our finished basement destroying my childrens play room. The day he came out he had an emergency mitigation team from Purotec come out( who I also cant praise enough). The entire Claims department is professional and quick, I even had interactions with Michelle the supervisor who also went over and beyond to answer my questions. Thank you so much for helping us!
The Philadelphia Contributionship is an excellent company. They are extremely responsive, offer top notch coverage at a fantastic price. Would recommend you compare your current rate with the A.S. or S.F. and what P.C. offers. I am very certain you will be pleasantly surprised.
Wost insurance co. EVER! 301 years not one claim and when some co ir someone through a 70 pound bag of roofing scrap and 2 pound chunks of material on my ajoining roof and damaged it from splitrs punktures and rips in my flat top roof that falls under my policy clauses they denied me after water damage. Ever the idiots that do the work lied didnt even get on the roof the first time to look and inspect. They didnt even get the POLICE report in Darby Pa. Im taking them to court and I recomend ever one do so when denied. When we are done in court Im getting FARMERS ins. They been through everything LOL or so they say. Get out of PHILA CONTRIBUTIONSHIP before you get denied. The ignorant girl hung up on me and put in her notes what they are trainrd to do so they can deny most claims. I hope all your customers start a fraud campaign against this company!!! Cause I didnt and still have been denied my claim for now. See you guys in court!!! I recomend everyone cancel their high price policies and go with another big name co. Not one like this thats one of the oldest but you never see them on TV advertising.... Theres a reason for that. The worst insurance company in AMERICA. Craig .............Steckel.... Sr......Truthfully yours.100 percent truth see you crumbs in court
Simply put, unprofessional and unethical insurance company. Multiple folks validated significant roof damage. Schedules didnt allow for our roofer to be present with the adjuster, came back with $500 in payment for a job of a minimum $4,000. Stay away, so disappointing
Excellent Company. We are an Independent Agency selling for multiple companies. Philadelphia Contributionship has excellent coverage options and very competitive rates. We have also had great experience with all of our customer claims with Philadelphia Contributionship.
We had water damage in our bathroom. Called and an adjuster was here in a few days. He surveyed the damage and we had a check within 15 days with a breakdown of everything covered and the amounts. There is depreciation deducted but once we get our receipts together, they credit back the depreciation. Very good experience.
I would love to give negative stars but dont have this option. What A Joke i been Insured with this company for 16 years and had water damage in my basement . i filed a claim and i got nothing but run around by Person name Keith Voss who was un professional , loud mouth, cursing etc... i will change my insurance company to other and get rid of this nonsense company. it just sad i pay them for 16 years what a lost. i would not recommend this company to anyone save your money and time and god with someone else!
I am thoroughly impressed with Philadelphia Contributionship! Fast response to get our claim processed and rolling during a time of hardship and challenges with the damage to our home. Reimbursement for damages was very quick and painless. I would give 10 Stars if I could 😊
I have had a last 5 months to forget. During this Covid pandemic so many people have negative memories of the year gone by. One bright memory to remember is the caring, kindness, and efficient attention showed to me by Ms. Karen Sitzenstock at the Philladelphia Contributorship. I am thankful and pleased with the way she attended to my crisis. Thank you!.
I have smoke claim on Christmas night , me and my pregnant wife out since that day , I lost all my new baby stuff and we didn’t allowed to use anything from our clothes , and my new baby due date next week , and when I ask my Adjaster about the claim he say no one came to check anything yet .My claim date is 12/25/2019This review date 02/03/2020I did change from one star to five star on 03 /21/2020Everything start take care very smooth and fast after the Adjaster name change , I can see the new Adjaster care a lot of his job ,Thank you very much
Today a car with the Philadelphia Contributionship name and logo on the side swerved into my lane on the highway (95) almost hitting me at a high rate of speed. They were trying to change lanes quickly without looking and without using a turn signal. Literally almost ran into my car. I had to quickly react, and swerve out of the way which almost made me hit a car on the other side of me. This was scary, stressful and dangerous. It all could have been incredibly terrible and a lot of people could have been hurt, all because this driver was not taking very basic precautions while driving on the highway. SLOW DOWN, PAY ATTENTION and try to care about not putting people in danger. I know the license plate number if the company wishes to reach out to me.
This company absolutely does not disappoint! They have settled the issue Ive had with my home, and what needed to be done for repairs! It was very swift, and I didnt have to do much footwork at all! Theyve handled everything like they said they would, and Im extremely grateful! Thank You!!
How in the world can these horrible horrible people be able to get away with what they are getting away with?! Mary Fran is one of the rudest people from there..but they use Mark 1, and they are just as bad. Twice weve had trees fall and damage our property, cars and pool. You better believe they wont answer the phone and will lie and say they have called you back when they never did. They do NOT want to pay out whats deserved to you but will gladly take your money. Beyond rude! Mary fran is excellent at one thing...cutting you off mid sentence, and talking over you. Save yourself a HUGE headache! This is the worst group of people I have seen in a long time! Report them if you can...
Horrible company refused to approve an small childrens above ground pool even with a safety fence around it. You would think in the middle of a pandemic when families are being asked to stay at home they would be more thoughtful but instead were threatening and intrusive. I would NEVER recommend them.
I am so glad that my mortgage broker connected me to Phila Contributionship for my homeowners insurance 18 years ago.1. My rates are many times less than rates offered by the bigger, well-known insurers.2. They paid a claim for weather/water damage repairs to my roof.3. I am currently being represented by a Phila Contributionship attorney in a suit against me for a situation that is covered by my homeowners insurance.I would recommend Phila Contributionship to anyone/everyone!
Sean Rau at The Philadelphia Contributionship was great to work with. What a hassle and inconvenience hail storm damage can be, but Sean made the process smooth with a fair outcome. He communicated quickly and effectively. We made the switch to The Philadelphia Contributionship just prior to the storm and, boy, am I glad we did!
You should allow E-check payments using a customers Checking account & routing number for one time payments like you do for credit cards. That way the insurance company would not be charged a credit card transaction fee each time a customer makes a payment... The insurance company could save approx 3% on every transaction. I know this would work because thats how I pay my property taxes! Maybe you should move into the 21st century and move away from the days of paper checks and money orders... You should send Email reminders when payment is due to help prevent late or missed payments! Just a thought...
Dont use this company- they send insurance appraisers not just once but twice unannounced both times. Took my money then a month later canelled my policy!! These companiesShould be fined for doing this to people. I wish we can change the way, when we should choose what company we want rather then they choose who they want!!! Dont use this company!! I never writr reviews but I just felt I had to. Im so tired of these companies!!
Terrible company, buyer beware. If your home is over 5 years old theyll consider anything pre existing. Ill be switching carriers as fast as possible. Geico, USAA, State Farm, Allstate... any of these companies may cost a few dollars more but may be worth tens of thousands more if you ever need something.
Worst insurance company ever, took months to tell us no for our flooded basement. We had two claims in. Again nothing so far on our claims on where we stand 2 months of waiting.. Customer service is aggressive and rude.Do not use this company for its slow processing.
This company is awful. They don’t even have their own claims adjusters so the service is horrible. Don’t fall for their low price. Just like anything else, you get what you pay for. Go with Erie Insurance every single time over these guys Erie has the best service around it’s not even comparable.
Terrible customer service. People are laughing as they deny covered service. Rude in both phone and email correspondence, and dishonest overall. I would not recommend this company. It is highly likely you could have something happen and be left stranded to pay thousands on your own. Thank you for reading and best wishes. See attached evidence. They are worthless-Sean
My review is for my adjuster Joshua Kraft there is nothing like having your life turned upside down from water damage however during this horrific experience Joshua craft made sure that he would assist in my emotional experiences in helping things move along as smoothly as possible at which timeLiving in total chaos that is what you need to hear it totally calm me down and also exactly what he said he would do he did very timely very professional I am so glad to have the contribution ship my husband and I are very pleased
Philadelphia contribution was there for my family in a time of devastation a car crashed into my home and landed in my basement destroyed everything Philadelphia contribution adjuster Paul W was awsome caring and compassionate about our situation, I would recommend this insurance company to everyone. I been in my home 21 yrs and I am so glad I stayed with Philadelphia contribution since I bought my home and when I sell and buy another one they will be my home owner Insurance company again.Thank you
I have never seen anyone so unprofessional in my life, I called to see if I can get discount on certain things and he doesnt call you back. Its been 3days and when I called today he asks me the same questions. Business is not supposed to be handled like this! I could go on look elsewhere I am!!!!!

2022-04-07My husband and I pay renters insurance, and our power was out for a few days. It’s below freezing, food went bad, we have a young daughter and 2 fur babies. I called on a Saturday to get help, was told someone would give me a call back ASAP… no call. But hey, I’ll get an email letting me know that money will be taken out of my account. Don’t worry my husband and I got it under control.Edit, since I’m not sure there is away to directly reply back to the owners. You might want to get your system checked out then. Or hire new people. Here is my cell phone record, showing that I called twice (see highlighted). As I said, I spoke to someone and was told someone would call me back ASAP and no one did. Thanks for being reliable REGARDLESS if you cover power outages or not. It’s nice to know my family is in good hands!

2022-04-27I filed a claim due to backup of my sump pump. It was a very stressful time for me and my claim representative Joshua Kraft was very helpful and understanding. He was exceptional with following up with me and processing my claim quickly.

2022-04-19Takes a long time to respond to policy holders, provides inaccurate estimates (I had a roof damage from a storm and they said the repairs fell below $1000, but a third party contractor said it was $1700 to fix), and the their adjustor/inspector takes a long time to schedule an appointment.Update: its a work in-progress but they are working with the issues with the house gradually.Update: I may be switching home insurace. The roof costed me over $3,000 to fix and Philadelphia Contributionship did not qualify me for the claim. Im going to find out of theyll honor my new claim out of emergency that I had to replace a broken water heater in January immediately since I have a toddler at home.

2021-07-23My situation started off great. they seemed to care about my home damage. I was trying to do most of the repairs myself, but it became too big. after we had to add some more issues to the claim I cant seem to get my adjuster to answer my calls and emails. Last time i talked to him it was let me get to my computer and Ill call you right back. 4 days ;later nothing. Im not sure but Im feeling like I need to get an attorney involved now. Or my state insurance commissioner. It is starting to become a bit of a problem with no contact from them now at all.

2022-01-04Without reason or warning my homeowners insurance increased by 53%! There were no claims, no upgrades on my home. I called today to find out why the significant increase 1) the person answering the phone had zero customer service and was sarcastic and rude to me 2) no solid answer. The only thing she said is “you should always expect an increase” and I said “but 53% is very excessive” ...she didn’t get anyone in the phone with me.

2021-05-28During the most recent storm, I experience property damage. I called my insurance carrier and was quickly assigned to Laurie DiPasquale, she went out of her way to ensure I understood the process. She demonstrated patience and compassion when explaining the process and next steps. Additionally, after giving me very detailed instructions, she followed up with me on several emails to ensure that all my concerns were addressed. This was some of the best customer service I experience during this difficult time. She even followed up with all parties involved on my behalf. Amazing service! I cannot express how much she has placed my mind at ease. In today’s day and age, it’s good to know this level of customer service still exist. Excellent job Laurie.

2021-10-10Not professional, infomative or helpful. Takes too long to settle claims, if at all. Misguides you at every chance to not pay a claim. Your average homeowner doesnt stand a chance. Pick the company you want, dont get Philadelphia Contributionship forced on you. Run!

2021-09-07While Ive had good experiences with them in the past, TPC truly let me down recently. We were hit badly by Hurricane Ida, and while I recognize that an event like this and the scale of damages presents a host of complications--I just learned that they DIDNT REPORT MY CLAIM TO AN ADJUSTER for 5 days after I reported severe damages that have displaced people and pets and have left the property vulnerable to additional damages coming with severe weather in the next 12 hrs. When a payment is missed, they are ON THE JOB to make sure they get paid...but where are they when I needed them for the ONE thing Ive been paying them for for YEARS. I wonder if theyll cover the medical bills when my inexperience coupled with extreme need results in a fall from the roof while trying to make temporary repairs myself out of my own pocket to simply prevent the reported problems from getting worse.

2021-09-01Buyer beware! While this home insurance is more reasonably priced, realize it’s for a reason….they don’t want to pay when there is a claim. My roof was damaged by a storm before Christmas & it took 8 months, an insurance adjuster & we still only received barely a quarter of the cost of a new roof! Needless to say they will never get my business again.

2021-10-05I have this insurance company since I bought my house. We got hit by the storm and my roof was damaged bad. Its over 20 days and they didnt do anything until now. No phone calls being answered and the adjuster they sent after 14 days dont respond to any phone calls. If you shopping for home insurance stay away . I dont see myself the only person having this issues going through the reviews here.
