The Philadelphia Dentist in other cities:
Dr. Lee is the man! Really great staff. Nancy is super helpful and they really listen to your issues here and help you understand the full process. I got my wisdom teeth out here and they were amazing. Very good listeners and skilled at dentistry as well. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience and even better customer service!! :)
I had a dental emergency and called after being up all night with a toothache that developed around 1 am on a friday night. Called in on a Saturday around 7 and they managed to get me in that morninging. After talking with the dentist he prescribed antibiotic for an I fection on a broken tooth (the one causing the pain) the next morning I was scheduled to have it and another broken tooth removed.I showed up at 7am they got me right in the chair and went to work. I was in and out in less than an hour. With almost no pain aside the pinch or the needle for novocaine. I put off going to the dentist for years because of anxiety issues. Seemed I never got numb enough and always felt the work being done with other dentists. Dr. Schriftman was great and made it a very easy experience. The while staff was very accommodating and friendly.
I was having horrible tooth pain overnight and called early the next morning, spoke directly to Dr. Schriftman who got me in early afternoon that same day. I had an infection and needed a root canal but it was a completely painless procedure. I can’t say enough about how friendly and professional this office is. The appointment was quick but I never felt rushed and during this time of COVID-19 they made sure I had no contact with other patients and everything was clean and sterilized. I highly recommend!!
I usually dont leave reviews , But after my experience here at The Philadelphia Dentist I had to. Ever since I was a Little girl I dreaded the Dentist Office, because I had an accident when I was younger. Becoming an adult and going to different dental places and still have that overwhelming fear, I can HONESTLY SAY, that my experience at The Philadelphia Dentist was very pleasing and relaxing since the moment I made my first initial appointment for a fistula and pain in one of my top front teeth. Right away I felt comfortable and confident with the first phone consultation. As I made my way to the appointment I was greeted by Victoria I believe , very sweet, very pleasant, really nice, after my X-ray and I was told I would need 2 Root canals plus 2 Crowns, I was very nervous , anxious, but the staff including Dr.Schriftman, made sure I would be taking care of and comfortable as possible. After having to return the following week to finish more of the Root Canals on my front teeth, I was greeted again very pleasantly and I was relaxed , I felt calm and actually loved going back , actually loved going to the dentist of all places. Just because of my very satisficing experience and with the assistant of Nancy during my second visit I felt I needed to post this review I was very happy to have found a Dental place where the staff actually cares. And big plus no more pain or throbbing I still have about 2 more visits I believe but I can honestly say It is an overall great experience here. Sorry for the long review but Im sure whom ever is reading it can take away from why it should be shared.Thank You Guys keep doing what you do, you all are doing a fantastic job :)
Completely satisfied with services received. Dr. Schriftman explained the process my initial visit and my options. The date of my service he explained in detail the steps he would take. He made me feel very comfortable the entire process. I also want to acknowledge the front desk rep Nancy very knowledgeable, professional and friendly.
I thought it was impossible to ever say I had a pleasant experience at the dentist BUT it actually happened! Dr Schriftman, Victoria, Ashley and everybody at the office made me feel so comfortable! They listened, were super kind and made sure that the whole experience was painless! I just had a wisdom tooth pulled out and I can honestly say that it was seamless and pain free!I also have to mention the very convenient office hours that allowed me to go on the weekend and not waste a sick day!Now I have to go back for stitches removal but I would go back regardless!
They are so amazing! I was up all night in pain from my tooth bothering me. I called early that morning and they were able to see me within a few hours! They pulled the tooth and I felt no pain they were so gentle and talked me through everything. I highly recommend going to them.
The absolute BEST experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. We are from the Jersey Shore and my daughter is getting treated at CHOP. I called on a Sunday bc i broke a tooth. They took me within a few hours and Did a fantastic job. The doctor was so gentile and sweet- he explained everything he did so kindly before he did it. Honestly, when it’s your first root canal, you don’t know what to expect, but this was the BEST experience considering the procedure. If i could give MORE stars, I would!!
Absolutely fantastic experience. I was in ALOT of pain with an infected tooth. Dr. Schriftman saw me first thing on a Sunday morning, talked me through exactly what needed to happen, and had such a gentle touch when my tooth needed removing. The entire staff is friendly and caring. I would 100% recommend Dr. Schriftman to anyone needing a dentist. I know I will be going back for any future needs.
Very pleased with my experience!! Dr. Schriftman and his staff are very courteous and professional. It was my first time at The Philadelphia Dentist office. I woke up in the middle of the night with a toothache. I literally called the office at 6:35am and was able to get an appointment right away. I was very nervous, the tooth had to be pulled, but he took his time, explained everything to me and made the process as fast and painless as possible! To my great relief!!!!Highly recommended
Over Thanksgiving weekend, I experienced an unpleasant mix of dental pain and fever-like symptoms that led to swelling and tightness in my jaw. Dr. Lee Schriftman and his team got me in for an appointment immediately and diagnosed my problem: infected wisdom teeth and a premolar.I was prescribed antibiotics and a corticosteroid to help eliminate the infection and heal my jaw before my surgery, which was performed by Dr. Ryan Eckley. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and a problematic premolar. I felt no pain or discomfort during the surgery. I had no issues during my recovery period thanks to the directions I was given. Overall, the whole experience felt more like a dream and certainly not a nightmare. The Philadelphia Dentist is very accessible, even on weekends. Although I lacked dental insurance, they were able to set me up with a solid payment plan that allowed me to spend significantly less out of pocket. Every individual there is a friendly professional; eager and ready to help you out.I would highly recommend the team at The Philadelphia Dentist, especially if you have a dental emergency like I did!
Dr L Schriftman is great! Nancy and all the other ladies I have met during my visits are fantastic as well. I need a lot of dental work done, and He is fully aware of my issues, he never makes me feel bad about any of it and is always willing to help and work with me. They all make me feel very comfortable there. I haven’t been able to find a Dr Like this before. I think they’re all so great there and definitely recommend anyone looking for a dentist/oral surgeon to go see Dr Schriftman.
I called the Dentist Office 7:45am my tooth hurt me so bad, the pain had kept me awake all night. I talked with Victoria Expressed my problem. She was very understanding I was in the office my 9:30am to my delight. Dr Lee Schriftman what a kind caring person he is.By 11:00am I am home no more pain ok a little bit of pain but it was different. I was able to get sleep. All I am saying everyone in the office I can say are very nice and caring, I said thank you very much. God bless and keep always.
I was in immense pain for two days. I called the office and was in the chair by 10:45 that morning. Unfortunately I was in between insurances (my new policy not effective for another week) it was no problem, Dr. Schriftman was so kind and gentle as I have extreme anxiety from past dental experiences. He explained thoroughly and even stopped multiple times to make sure I was okay. I will now be using this practice and my primary dentist! The entire experience lasted no more than an hour. I am very please with this dentistry and would recommend.
If you fear the dentist as much as I do, then I hope my review helps:My right bottom molar crown was loose and very painful. I had to find a dentist immediately and it was the July holiday weekend, Sunday. We found only a few open. However, The Philadelphia Dentist had the best reviews and the most convenient time to see me. I was scheduled within a few hours from my morning phone call, which I thought was awesome.I am quite nervous, scared really, of dentists as I have had some traumatizing events in the past growing up and as an adult. With that said, the staff was extremely welcoming (even on a Sunday holiday weekend!), and Dr Schriftman was amazing at helping and allowing me to decompress from my fear. He was a plate full of professionalism with a side of humor!! While working on my tooth, he talked it through to be sure I understood what I may feel and why.The dental technician (name unknown) was phenomenal before, during, and after the procedure in creating a soothing experience for me while in the exam room.I highly recommend The Philadelphia Dentist and its team. I am changing insurance next month, and I will be sure to inquire about making this office my primary dentist.Thank you to the Team! And thank you for your devoted time on weekends and holidays which sometimes goes unnoticed or unappreciated. Ive worked them for many years in the past as well. Keep up the great work!Appointment date: July 6th, 2019
Best dentist office I have ever went to Dr Enkly was so nice and calm , I was in excruciating pain and no office would take me for days (even months) this office seen me with in 2 hrs after I called crying in pain , I got the tooth pulled it was fast and easy and everyone at the office were so kind and NICE to me, i felt at ease i highly recommend them ! And will use them moving forward for any works I may need done
Im not one to write long wordy reviews, so Ill get right to the point: Dr. Schriftman is awesome! Very communicative, personable, and painless with his procedure. Great helpful friendly service from the entire office staff, too! Best experience one could hope for going to the dentist.
For 6 weeks i had an broken molar that gave me constant pain. I called dentist aftet dentist they were either just not seeing anyone or the cost was closer to 1,000$. I felt like i had no way to get outta pain and this was just my new way of life. The last 2 weeks the pain was so extreme i felt an infection was inevitable. A friend sent me the Philadelphia dentist information saturday 4pm when i googled i thought they would just be closed, no help, not seeing patients etc. A dentist answered said they could help, could see me first thing 6.45an on a sunday on a morning. Less than 12hrs ago i had indeed an infected tooth removed. I was so scared but excited to return to my normal self. They really help calm your anxietys. I couldnt be more grateful. Thanks to all the staff and dentist there who truly care.
I woke up Saturday morning with terrible jaw pain, and quickly realized I needed to see a dentist. I haven’t been to the dentist in years, and have a huge fear of the experience in general. I called at 6:30 am and Dr. Schriftman and his team made sure I got in immediately. It was the quickest, painless procedure I’ve had done to my teeth in a very long time. Despite my nervousness Dr Schriftman was gentle, quick, and talked me through every step. He put my mind at ease and encouraged a treatman plan for after my procedure which I’m not even anxious to continue despite my fear of the dentist. Thank you to the entire team at The Philadelphia Dentist.
I am terrified of the dentist and have had a lot of apprehension about the extensive dental work I. We’d to have done. It can’t be done overnight, but every single interaction with every staff member has been outstanding. Dr. Eckley is a perfectionist- which is exactly what you want in a dentist. I called to leave a message for when the office opened on Christmas night- and dr. Shrifrman answered! Still waiting on the pretty stuff to be ready but so far so great!
Awful experience. incompetent staff. ridiculous out of pocket expenses. My sister went here to have her tooth repaired and the front desk staff, dentist, and dental assistant were all so nasty and rude I wanted to walk out right then. She didn’t have dental coverage and asked them if they could fix it for her temporarily until her coverage was reinstated. They said no and tried to charge her over $3k. Today, she went to my dentist (amazing dental care on bustleton) and they temporarily fixed it for less than a third of the price. Maybe it’s just me - I feel like if interacting with humans is a part of your business, you and your employees should know how to do that. With all of that being said, I do not recommend this dentist- not for an emergency dental visit or even a routine dental visit.
Flew into Philly for a 5 day vacation with my wife on a Saturday, and by that night was in absolute agony from what turned out to be a decayed and infected tooth. In a strange city with no transportation I was scared to just find a doctor online, but left with few options I Googled and found Dr. Schriftman. Phoned his office about 8am on a Sunday and by 11:30 I was in his chair.Hes soft-spoken, professional, and gentle, and did an excellent job explaining what was happening and what was coming up.Ive had 2 root canals before, and this one was quick and easy, with constant communication from the Dr. and his staff about what was happening. If I lived in Philly, hed be my dentist of choice, and if youre in town with an emergency rest assured hell take good care of you!
Absolutely amazing i cant say enough positive things about the Dr. and staff! they got me in as an emergency on a Saturday at 8:45 am as emergency tooth pull. the Dr. was so on point with the needles and even more so calming my nerves. if i could give them a million stars it would still not be enough ! A MILLION THANK YOU TO ALL THERE
Developed an abscessed tooth with facial swelling at 11pm Saturday night. Was sitting in the dental chair on Sunday morning. Thats not a typo or misprint. Dr. Schriftman has Sunday/Holiday hours. Drained the abscess, received antibiotics and had no more discomfort. Nice office, nice people and very experienced dentist
This Doctor and his entire team is amazingggggg,The doctor is sooooo good.Hes gentle, explains things in every step, makes sure your comfortable in every way possible. Great bed side manners. His team was soo friendly and helpful. This was the best dentist office ive ever been to.They were very clean, and the dentist was sooo fast.I will be back 1000%
Had a Dental emergency and Dr. Schriftman and his team were able to get me in same day and really saved me a lot of trouble and pain, they are super kind and friendly and he explains everything he’s doing and how it’s going to feel and what to expect and it was really comforting and quick, I’ll definitely be coming back for anything else that I have to get done thanks a lot guys!
This office is horrible. You might think there was compassion for the patients. Wrong. Make sure you have your cash with you. Due to financial difficulties, I only could pay the $80 extortion fee just get make it from the waiting room to the exam room. For the remaining payment, I get paid wednesdays. I asked them to charge it Wednesday and offered to sign a charge slip dated for 12/7/16. They refused and sent me on my way without so much as an exam to see if antibiotics would hold me over. Do not, do not, do not put your dental health in their hands.

2022-04-24The best dental experience we have ever had. My husband needed an emergency extraction on Sunday 4/24. They scheduled us right away for 11:45. We ended up needing to push it back to 12:15 because we are coming from Upper Darby and they got us in quickly. Clean, comfy, and compassionate. The dental assistants and the dentist were personable and explained every step before they moved forward. Though our insurance was out of network, they even took the time to explain the process of billing. Husband will be returning in 2 weeks for follow up work. We will be referring everyone here from now on!

2021-10-22Got my wisdom teeth out here and Dr. Schriftman and Nancy helped make this a positive experience. Like many, I am not a fan of the dentist, but I will continue going here because I know I’m in good hands. Dr. Schriftman made sure I felt as comfortable as I could be and really cares about his patients. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist!!!

2021-05-16Ive had a lot of tooth problems over the years and many teeth pulled, so Ive had my fair share of tooth pain. But yesterday and this morning, I had pain unlike any tooth pain Ive ever felt. It was radiating all over my head. After scouring all the places I could find on google, this dentist was available to see me on a SUNDAY. He took an x-ray, numbed me perfectly, and pulled my problem tooth – all in under an hour. The facility itself is spotless. The staff are so incredibly friendly and make you feel comfortable. I had to pay out of pocket, but its money well spent to receive such stellar care in such a painful dental emergency and their prices are more than fair in the grand scheme of dental procedures. I had to leave this review because its sadly very difficult to find a dentist you can trust to treat you with care and I promise that this quaint lil place is a hidden gem in that regard. The doctor is very experienced but not jaded and thats priceless. Five stars, definitely.

2021-05-18Like most people I am terrified of going to the dentist. For months I was having extreme pain and swelling, but kept putting it off until I couldn’t take it anymore. I couldn’t afford another trip to the ER and had to be seen immediately. I was lucky enough to find The Philadelphia Dentist. Dr.Schriftman and his staff truly made my experience like no other! Got in same day, had a bad infection and needed to come back in a few days to let the swelling go down and have 2 teeth extracted. I was nervous about the procedure but the welcoming staff and having Dr.Schriftman talk me through the whole process definitely calmed my nerves and within no time the teeth were out and I was feeling great! I highly recommend this office to everyone! Going back to get more work done and can actually say I’m looking forward to it. Can’t wait to get my smile back, thank you!!!

2021-08-05Had a bad toothache. i wanted to have a molar and a possible second tooth pulled, They did not accept my insurance, wasnt too happy about that. The doc looked at my teeth, had an x-ray. They came back with a proposal, pull 3 teeth and plan for dentures. 13,040 dollars, asked how much to pull the 3 teeth, 1,300+ dollars. got up walked out. the non service i received cost me $80. They did give me a script for Acetaminophen(Tylenol) for my toothache.

2020-10-13I can’t believe it! First dentist that was compassionate and made my experience great! I researched and was scared the night before as my tooth broke in half! They got me in ASAP! I have anxiety with Dentists as it is! They gave me laughing gas and the dentist numb my mouth where I couldn’t feel a thing. Had to get my tooth extracted. He walked me through everything and I felt NOTHING! I was so thankful for the first time to have had such a calming experience out of such a so called painful procedure. The girls were great that worked there as well. LOOK no further! This is your dental center for life. 😉👍
