I had the pleasure of working with Cristy and Mike through the Philly Apartment Co. to find my new apartment! I needed to do an immediate move-in, and both Cristy and Mike were helpful and easy to reach during the whole process. They helped me find the perfect place that allowed me to move in ASAP, was under my budget, in my prime location, and that fit all of my needs. I highly recommend working with them!
Annie Oliver has quickly and successfully helped me to find good tenants for my condo over the past two years. Even though I never met her in person, I immediately knew that I could trust her to find reliable, respectable, and agreeable tenants. Annie also went above and beyond--I had to sell some furniture in the condo, and she met with potential buyers for me since I live out of state. She is an excellent communicator and truly allowed me to be worry-free about an otherwise stressful task!
Cristy is super wonderful to work with! She responds quickly, gets questions answered about apartments thoroughly (would respond with a video within a hour if I wanted to see something!), and was super kind and easy to work with! Absolutely recommend working with her when on the apartment hunt!
I had a fantastic experience working with Annie Oliver. She was prompt for the apartment showing, and went above and beyond helping me negotiate terms of the lease to get the place I wanted at a price I was comfortable with. Easily the best experience Ive had with an agent, and should I need to move in the future shell be the first person I can for help!
I have worked with Angela Calvanese who has supported my move into one of the apartments she is dealing with. Have always felt supported very well. Angela has always responded promptly, provided accurate information, reached out to third parties immediately in order to request additional details, and has been very forthcoming in meeting to discuss the lease during the week-end even outside of Philadelphia. Can only highly recommend her, great to work with! Thanks, Angela!Jens
Great company. Very professional and gets the job done. I need help finding a tenant for my investment property. They got me a great qualified candidate in just a few weeks. I highly recommend The Philly Apartment for tenant placement and property management. They are the best.
Annie Oliver was so helpful with my search for an apartment in Philadelphia. She was extremely communicative and would send me potential listings as they became available. She is great for folks that are relocating and offered me tours via FaceTime, etc. I would highly recommend working with her!
Philly Apartment Company was such a great help in the apt hunt and rental process! Both Cristy Michaels and Katherine Mejia were well informed, kind, and efficient. I would highly recommend working with Philly Apt Co, they do an effective job of catering to your needs and helping to de-stress the moving process, as well as following up with helpful information after the move.
Needed to make a quick move to Philadelphia PA for job relocation After perusing the Philly Apartment Company website, which has a good variety of properties/units listed, I submitted my contact information on their website to a number of the properties they had listed on their website.I waited a few days, & only heard back with regards to two of the many properties I had inquired about. I decided to contact one of the two Philly Apartment Company realtors who had gotten back to me, & requested that they setup showings for the numerous other properties which I had inquired about via their website. I was very surprised that I had not received responses on a number of properties after waiting to hear back for a number of days. The Philly Apartment Company realtor I worked with was helpful at this point, & secured a number of showings for me on short notice. However, I was also told that some of the units that were listed for immediate availability on their website were actually unavailable - possibly because the units may have been rented between the time I had initially seen them listed online & when my showing appointments were being made?I was sent numerous emails by the Philly Apartment Company realtor as showings were scheduled, which contained links to a webpage listing out all of the addresses of the properties, the showing times, & included links to each property listing on their website. This was a very helpful tool for me to keep all of my showing appointments organized. The only issue I had was that the showing appointments that were made were not necessarily based on location - I was hoping that the Philly Apartment Company realtor would have strategically scheduled back to back showings at properties nearby each other, which was not always the case. Particularly for somebody unfamiliar with the city, I was hoping the Philly Apartment Company realtor would have taken this into consideration when scheduling my showings. When I came down to Philly for my showings, most of the showing agents at the properties were very accommodating. However, I did witness many flaws with Philly Apartment Company.I told the Philly Apartment Company realtor who scheduled all of my showings that I was looking for a unit available for an immediate move in - I specifically selected properties off of their website that had units which met my criteria & which were listed for immediate availability. When I showed up at a few of the properties for my showings, I was told by the showing agents that the Philly Apartment Company realtor told them that I was looking to move into a unit in 2 months - Not an immediate move in, as I had made very clear to the Philly Apartment Company realtor. The showing agents were very accommodating & showed me other units which met my criteria & had immediate availability, but I was surprised that showing agents at various different properties told me that they had received the incorrect information from the Philly Apartment Company realtor.I also noted that many of the rent prices listed on the Philly Apartment Company website were different from the rent prices which were discussed during the showings - Sometimes, the rent prices were off by hundreds of dollars (both above & below the listed rent prices on the Philly Apartment Company website). Because of this, I did not know how much rent was until the showings - its nice to have an idea of how much something costs before seeing something, & before potentially wasting somebodies time. There was also one showing that I arrived at per the showing schedule I was sent. I had showings setup for units in three different buildings owned by the same company. When I showed up & contacted the building manager, per the instructions of the Philly Apartment Company realtor, I was told that I was not listed on his showing schedule for the day.Overall, the work of Philly Apartment Company seems to be sloppy. Youre better off contacting the properties directly & cutting out the middle man.
Steve Williamson was incredibly helpful. He took time to identify the specifics of what we were looking for. He was patient and responsive during the entire process. He found us a house within our budget where we happily live. Looking for a house can be stressful, but Steve made the entire process go smoothly.
Wow, I was really surprised to see the negative reviews on here, so I had to chime in. Ive worked with PAC twice now and have had great service both times. They helped me find an apartment within a week when I moved to Philly, and I loved the place. Then again when my husband and I moved in together three years ago.I loved working with these people, seriously. Worth giving them a shot.
I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but Cristy Michaels was awesome throughout the entire process.Shes an excellent communicator and really went the extra mile to ensure my unit was ready, getting the unit i desired and was very flexible with dates and times since I was relocating to Philly from DC. I was torn between several other apartments around Philly, but those small gestures were the difference maker for me.
I have worked with them 2x and both times they found the perfect apartment on the first showing. Recently I worked with Cristy Michaels and she was so great and even went out of her way to meet be after office hours so I could get my keys! I highly recommend her! Thanks Cristy!
I shouldve heeded all of the reviews on here.I saw several apartments I liked on their website and contacted Katherine Meija* to set up appointments to view them. We were driving in from New York for the weekend, so our goal was to see as many places as possible and make the trip worthwhile.Several days before we were supposed to come in, Katherine Meija said she was working on a list and would send it over shortly. It was another 2.5 days until she finally got back to us. One of the properties wasnt one we even wanted to see--it was in an area we specifically said we werent interested in. Strike one.We drove in early in case we hit traffic. En route, Katherine Meija called to let me know her car supposedly broke down and she was trying to find someone to show the apartment--and that shed get back to me in a couple minutes. She didnt get back to me for another 45 minutes, at which point we were parked in Philly and waiting. When Katherine Meija got back to me, she said she was still trying to get someone to show us the apartment and would call back in another few minutes. After another half hour passed, I received an email from her saying we could see an apartment that was in the area we said we did NOT want.We saw nothing and it wasted several hours of our morning when we couldve seen apartments with a competent agent. We drove in from New York for the weekend just for our search. I wrote a pretty angry email back. Katherine called me back a day later--after I had complained to the Philly Apartment Co. about her--to give a half-hearted apology. So, anyways, this review has become overly long:- Katherine Meija is not a good agent.- Katherine Meija does not care about her clients.- Katherine Meija will waste your time.- You should not work with Katherine Meija. Ever.*Full name usage is intentional.
I recently moved to Philly and was a little overwhelmed with finding an apartment. Michael Kauffman and thw Philly apartment company helped me secure an apartment in no time and with extreme ease. I would definitely recommend using Michael if you are in need of a great place to live!
Initially my search for an apartment through Philly Apartment Company started out promising, the realtor was polite and the property was beautiful. My roommate and I chose the apartment we wanted and sent in our application and fees, and then everything fell to pieces. It took days to get an email response, we never got any verification that our payments were recieved, and now its 4 days until were supposed to move in, and we still dont have keys. We havent gotten the signed lease back from the owner and the realtor is almost impossible to reach. We each have over $2,000 put into this apartment already in their hands. I went to pick up the keys today (after emailing my realtor this morning saying I would be there at 12:30pm) and she didnt have them. Meanwhile, as she was talking to me, she was standing there reading her email from her phone - so i know she got my email and just didnt have the decency to let me know not to travel all the way across the city on my lunch break to not get the keys. Her name is Stephanie. My advice, avoid the company all together. The only positive feedback I have is that the people in the reception area are very friendly and quick to help, however its ultimately up to the realtor to get them the appropriate information. Which doesnt happen.
The agent I dealt with was very rude. I had requested to look at three apartments with him starting in the morning and ending before noon, because I was planning on looking at other apartments later in the day that were not listed on The Philly Apartment Companys website. When he learned of my intentions to do this he sent me a disrespectful email (excerpt below):...Otherwise, you are wasting time with me and me with you. I can schedule the appointments, but I just got done taking time out of my busy day to schedule something for at 12pm and now you email me telling me you scheduled something else... I deal with 20 other clients schedules. Most people in New York charge fees for this very reason....Needless to say it would have been awkward looking at apartments with the agent after this point, so I told him he could take me off his schedule.I dont feel its necessary taking time out of my busy day to feel sorry for his busy day. In the end I would be willing to pay for better help than what this company was able to give me.
Let me start by explaining how I use to work here. With this said reviews are mixed for one reason. People can have a good experience but chances are you will not. There is a 10% chance that you will have a good experience as there is 1 good worker that you can count on for every 9 unreliable workers. This company does not pay its employees, it is 100% commission based and having been a top producer for them I did not make over 300 a week and you will still have to pay taxes out of this. They promise you payments by certain times after you make deals and they will not pay you when they say. This company hires workers that are completely inexperienced and unqualified because the position is tailored to a horrific experience for both the worker and customer. If you use this company you will be working with people that are not trained whatsoever and are likely to mess up the dates and locations of appointments. Bottom line is I would not support this organization as it is simply structured on the behalf of tops-level positions, its customer service is horrible, and the employees you will be working with are more often unreliable because they cant keep good workers there.
This company rented me an apartment with no heat and bad plumbing. The property had several violation from L&I and was not fit for human habitation I was very disappointed with my experience and would recommend you run the other way. If them or Atlas Property Management has anything to do with the property.
Henry, my Philly Apartment Representative is being very helpful in arranging a tour of two apartments in Philly.I am without transportation to tour the apartments, and Henry is making the effort find assistance. Henry is attentive, helpful, and very positive. Thank you Philly Apartment Company!
Beware of everything they dont tell you. We rented from The National. A: You have to move in on a weekday and what they wont tell you is that if you move a couple pieces on a weekend, they will fine you $1000. B: There is a $500 non-refundable fee to move in on a weekday so that some guy can sit at the front door and open it for you. C: They are non-responsive and dont do anything on time. D: DO NOT PAY MORE THAN $2200 FOR A CONDO RENTAL. Its not worth it. E: CHECK TO SEE IF PARKING IS INCLUDED FIRST BEFORE SIGNING ANYTHING. Parking adds another $200 on your rent if parking is not included.Bottom line - Philly Apartment Company is awful. They dont communicate with Blue Square Realty for the rental (they manage the building at The National), and then they will fine you for not knowing the 50 different people youre supposed to talk to. Absolutely ridiculous to live in a city where youre likely to get shot and/or mugged.
Lets just say they dont even deserve one star......my experience with this company left a lot to be desired. It took them 4 days to return my initial 2 calls and and one email I sent to them just to request their services. This should have been a sign of things to come.....when they did call back they were rude and had very limited availability to boot. So I made an appointment to view one unit. Unfortunatly it was not for the time I wanted because I didnt think I would make it there in time which I told them. Sure enough I was running late so I called out of respect and they basically could not afford me their time to wait 20 minutes. Which tells me had I been on time I would have only had 15 minutes to view the place and ask questions.....they were really rude about everything....my advice choose someone else....they are a joke as is obvious from the 2 stars they have on yelp.
Ridge Carlton Apartment on Ridge Avenue they have done a lot of improvements the new manager and it is like a different place .One that you are proud to call home.He is very creative and has made a great difference to the place love it and he is to be commended for his hard working excellent style and taste. Also very professional and seems to care about your living surroundings a place he would live.I thank him forgoing such a great job.

2018-08-23I worked with Cristy at The Philly Apartment Company, and she found the perfect apartment for me! I had been spending hours before perusing different sites looking for an apartment, but when I linked up with Cristy she did all the work, sent me links to places that met all my requirements. She set up the viewing appointment and later confirmed the day and time with the listing agent. Cristy will ask the listing agent important questions that you might not think of, and she will give you an honest opinion about the place. It was amazingly quick and easy. And now Im so excited to be moving into the perfect place for me that not only meets all my requirements but is also at a great price!

2019-05-20The BEST experience I have ever had in finding a home to rent! My husband and I are relocating to Philly from the Midwest, and we felt very overwhelmed about finding a place to live in such a big city ( and with two dogs). We only had about two days to find a place since we were flying in for a visit. I contacted Philly Apartment Company and had three people respond to me within the same day. I went with the first person who responded, which happened to be Mike McNelis.Mike was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional during the entire process. Other companies I had contacted told me to get on their site and let them know what I liked, however Mike sent me a variety of listed properties and ask me to let him know what I liked about them so he could zero in on our preferences. Then, he sent ANOTHER list a week later with new properties that were listed, so when it was time for our visit, we had about 10 properties we knew that we loved and would sign a lease on.We were so grateful for Mike putting us at ease during this process. He scheduled an entire day with us to show properties and be available for any questions we might have for moving to Philly. We had a ton of questions that he answered with honesty and he had so many recommendations for every neighborhood we visited. He is very knowledgeable about the properties we saw and the different processes of each property management company. Mike, thank you so much! We hands down recommend this company and working Mike if you have the opportunity!!

2018-12-04I strongly recommend Katherine Mejia with The Philly Apartment Company !!After a frightening experience with a not-so-friendly agent from a different company, Katherine Mejia made my apartment hunt comforting. Katherine constantly assured me that she would help me get the apartment (if not exactly what I was looking for) CLOSE to what I was looking for. And that was exactly what she did. Every time I met with Katherine for scheduled viewings; she had several options of apartments to show me. Katherine was very insightful with information about walking score, sound score, commute time, local shopping, crime, utility information and much more! This made my experience VERY exciting! Katherine is personable, genuine, organized and outgoing- all the qualities you would want in your agent. With all the scams that renters come across this day and age, I honestly could not ask for a more welcoming experience.-TB

2020-03-23Katherine Mejia helped us find an apartment rental for our move to Philly from Atlanta. Moving is so stressful, especially when coming from out of state, but Katherine was an absolute godsend through the entire process. She showed us 10+ apartments on the only weekend we could come to Philadelphia, was always fast to respond to our many, many questions, bridged communication gaps between us and potential landlords, described different areas and neighborhoods in a way that spoke to our needs, and the list continues. Katherine went above and beyond for us while finding a place and well after we signed the lease. Her willingness to help, friendly and positive nature, quick responsiveness, and overall knowledge of all the different moving pieces made her an invaluable asset to us and made our move so much easier. Katherine is amazing and we will absolutely employ her services again for our next move!

2018-12-11I had a very positive experience with Steve Williamson in particular. Steve is both kind and can get the job done, and we didnt feel like just another transaction. He sat down with my friend and I to hear what we were hoping for, and began looking right away for places for us. He was very accommodating to our schedules, and even communicated with me while I was overseas for a work trip. When we found the place we loved (and now call home), he ensured that we would have the best possible chance of being the next renters. The tenant at the time was difficult, and he continued to work for us to have the viewings we needed. Once we decided to move forward, his communication with the property management company helped for it to be a smooth and straightforward process. We hope to not have to move again anytime soon, but if we do, well be going back to Steve!

2019-01-28I worked with Cristy Michaels on finding my apartment and doing the showing and I cant speak more highly of her skills and knowledge about the property! She helped answer all my questions, and if she wasnt aware of something, she made sure to find out an answer as soon as possible. The process was extremely quick and she made sure I was comfortable with everything and kept things speedy. Cant wait to work with her and the company again, although I think Ill be spending a while in my new place because its amazing! Thank you again!

2019-06-18I had the pleasure of working with Cristy in my apartment rental search. She was extremely helpful, professional, kind, and genuine. Cristy helped make the whole process easy and was immediately responsive whenever I had a question. She was very knowledgeable about the apartment, the neighborhood, and surrounding neighborhoods. 2017-03-13Philly Apartment Company was an extremely reliable tool for me to depend on as a working single mom trying to find a new apartment. My agent, Cristy Morris, was dedicated to my situation and kept me informed of new sites available at all times. Cristy was able to find an apartment that fit my criteria perfectly and I fit all viewings before or after work for me. My daughter is so happy which is most important. I owe a lot to Philly Apartment Co.

2019-12-20Katherine Mejia was a wonderful real estate agent. She spent a whole Friday afternoon showing me and my girlfriend various places within our budget that we all loved. It was almost difficult to decide on a place we liked. Thanks to her, our process of finding a new place to live was prompt and nearly stress-free. I would recommend anyone looking for a new place to live in Philly give Katherine a call or e-mail. She was attentive, professional, and friendly.

2019-01-08I had the best experience with this company. I called in and spoke with Steve Williamson. I explained that I needed something right away because I was starting school. He was able to schedule an appointment the next day for a showing and walked me through the whole building from the entrance, to the available apartments, to the storage rooms, the trash shoot, and even the place where I could get my laundry done right next door. He was very knowledgeable and had a positive attitude. I’m already in love with my apartment and don’t think I’ll move, but i know if I ever need to look for another place I’m calling Steve. Thank you
