I have used The Spa on State many times for my anxious !!! , large , black lab/ pointer mix. The Customer service is excellent , the groomers are top notch and I thank them for servicing us with such care.
My Collies (Mack and Anya) love The Spa on State! In the past, Mack had to have a mild sedative before grooming but not anymore! The ladies found what works for him, they allow him in the front of the shop, and he’s so much happier. They go in looking terrible and come home looking fabulous every time. Thank you!
The worst pet grooming business. The first time my dog came back parched was left in a cage for 4 hours all for a wash. The second time I went back they had him in a cage for 6 hours, didnt even groom him normally, they only blew his hair out. The workers do not know how to care for the dogs or do the job they say they will. The owners should reconsider the business they are in.
I only gave myself 4 stars as having been in this business for decades will never say there isnt room for improvement in some way and am forever open to your suggestions and input on how the grooming experience can be improved for you and your furry friends.I am the new face at the Spa on State and will absolutely guarantee that the house has been cleaned. Should anyone smack a dog or treat a dog (or any animal) without the most compassionate and caring hands at the Spa on State again my personal vengeance addressing that would be the ONLY time you witnessed my life time commitment to non-violence waning.I can only hope readers understand finding a fabulous staff is not easy the first year at a new location and give this beautiful facility and new staff the chance to prove the Spa on State has evolved and is working very hard to become ideal model of excellent grooming in Doylestown and the surrounding area.Feel free to Google my name for further information on my experience. Fantastic grooming, not cheap, but frustratingly overbooked. Like 45 days wait! Book way in advance.
I have been bringing Hissy to the Spa on State for over 3 years now. I wouldnt think of bringing Hissy anywhere else. The staff is amazing and I know my dog is in great hands. Thank you!
My Ragdoll cat Mugsy had gotten some mats and took him there for grooming, they did a lion cut on him and he looks so darn cute. Will definitely take him back!!!
Liz Sines, the groomer here, has no right calling herself a professional in any regard. Liz supports and defends the illegal actions of twelve grand of fraud and evasion of service of process Helen Joey Schaefer committed against me. Proof of Helens actions are available in the public docket sheets for the case she committed evasion of service of process for. There is a word for people like Liz and Helen, and that word is lawlessness.
Good service, a little cramped, and its sometimes a bit irritating to repeat what services I would like for my dogs even though I go there once a month.
Very happy with the service here. My dog was well groomed, and had a great experience.
I have a small Bichon and they tried to charge $60 more for grooming or they will shave her instead. The employee was very rude. I don’t recommend it!

2021-04-1710/10 would recommend! Scheduling was so easy, I called and was able to get an appointment for the next day. I brought my high energy pit bull for a nail trim and the staff was so friendly and professional. The trim took about 5 minutes and they did and AWESOME job. I am very impressed and will definitely be back!

2021-05-04First time there. Staff was very nice. The groomers Carley and Liz very helpful,along with Katie the check-in/out associate.Bailey does not like the grooming experience, but they told me she wasnt bad. That tells me they must have made her feel comfortable. Would recommend! ☺️

2019-01-12We bring lucky to Holiday house for all our boarding, vet and grooming needs. The staff are fantastic and Lucky is always excited to be back every time! I love how after a bath Lucky gets dressed in a cute little bandanna - such a cute and caring touch!

2019-08-25They may cost more than Petsmart, but they do a great job. I have an especially fluffy dog who sheds constantly. The thorough brushing she gets after her bath is fantastic!

2017-05-22We love this place! I cant bathe our shepherd anymore, hes too big. The girls at the Spa take such good care of him! He comes home smelling great, nails have been carefully trimmed, and the best part: no more handfuls of fur dropping all over the house! Highly recommend the Spa on State.

2017-07-11This is my favorite new spot in town. They are so good to my dog and they just hired Liz Sines(master groomer). I dont think there is another master groomer in the area!!! We can testify that she does a great job!!! Very impressed and they are so friendly with the dogs!!

2017-07-27Liz Sines, master groomer, has recently joined the Spa on State. She is simply the BEST GROOMER I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!I started with Liz when I got my mini poodle and have followed her all the way to Doylestown...a 35 minute drive from where I live.Nyssa always looks great and we have gotten many compliments from strangers over the years.
