The UPS Store in other cities:
Visited this location today to mail a parcel overseas. The parcel had a pre-paid UPS label. It also has customs forms that need to be attached to the parcel. The man at the counter was extremely hostile and attempted to argue with me in a very ignorant manner about the customs forms. He immediately began to insist that he wasnt going to sign anything (I didnt ask him to) and refused to take the customs forms. I dont know why he acted in such an ignorant way. I have shipped things overseas many times, and a customs form is always necessary. Dont waste your time here and go to the UPS on 4th street instead. It is out of the way, but they are extremely helpful there.
Very poor service. Submitted a brochure design online to print and when I went to the store four days later, they did not have them ready. Took the people 30 minutes to try to figure out how to print it. Its a trifold brochure, but they printed it out on a regular piece of paper and told me to just fold them myself... If I could i would give them zero star.
I had the pleasure of having Jay as the associate to assist me. Attitude on a level that was totally unacceptable and unnecessary. I won’t go on a rant but he could *definitely* benefit from a lesson or two in proper etiquette when speaking to customers or answering their questions.
The reason it is 2-stars instead of 1-star is because the other worker was polite and able to help after the man stormed out. I got in the store at 4:20 PM (closed at 5PM) and waited for about 30-40 minutes, which is when this video was taken. He disrespected anyone who asked him a question and was getting in my face at one point. I asked if I could ship my package because I was in the store 40 minutes before it closed, he called me entitled? Horrible experience until that man left.I HAVE shipped a package here one time before and the folks were friendly then, so I thought it would be similar.
I mistakenly went to USPS instead of this location to make an Amazon return. The teller here was so nice in comparison to the USPS one, and the return process was quick and easy. There was a matter that the store manager was supposed to call me about and never did, but thats not the fault of the employees and didnt affect my great in person experience. Go here instead of USPS if you can. Whyd they pick such similar names?
Donte, the notary at the store was extremely helpful, thorough, and patient. I arrived shortly before closing with multiple transactions. One of which involved translated documents that had to be notarized. He carefully read the very small English version of the print, validated all of the documentation and was very kind. Many others would have grown frustrated as the line was growing and the store closing. The store was clean and all mailing resources were well labelled. Great experience overall.
My father passed away last month, and my sister and I were in charge of clearing out his apartment. This UPS store is right next door, and the team helped us with everything from printing out estate sale flyers to boxing up an item for me to check on Delta. Every trip we made to UPS was hassle free-even with long Christmas shipping lines. Everyone who works there is professional and nice, including the owner/manager and a new young lady. The crème de la crème staff member is Randall. Not only does he treat customers professionally and with warmth, he makes suggestions and goes the extra mile to help us get our items, in my case, sentimental artwork, to its final home.
We had the absolute BEST experience shipping from this location. Ashley was so helpful every step of the way and even helped us pack and ship some odd shaped (and super heavy) items. We’re so grateful for Ashley and the team at this store. We couldn’t have done it without them! Favorite UPS store ever!
Absolute Jerks at work, avoid if you can, would end up spoiling your mood. The attendants at the counters super rude and disrespectful, upon asking any question they would respond “I am not obligated” to this to that.If just dropping a package it’s fine, avoid getting into any conversation with the employees.
Absolutely impressed by the service at this location! I’ve been picking up my amazon packages here and there in the past year. No issues at all. Yesterday, I was there to pick up another package and the two black ladies offered warm greetings as soon as I walked in and considerate reactions to my requests. Well deserved five stars!
Normally be prepared to wait a long time - this is a very busy location. Except if Ashley is there. She is really incredible. She can single handedly help multiple customers at once and is always the most hopeful at the same time! If she is not the manager of this location she most certainly should be. I was quite impressed with her customer service and gusto with which she helps customers!
Paul Levy was super helpful. Staff in Philly is generally subpar but don’t be fooled here, Paul may be Philly but he isn’t rude and gets the job done - I needed 2 TVs, guitar, and several tiny packages shipped! 🙌🏻 He was also aware enough to price an item for a customer knowing my stuff could take a while 😅. Thank you Paul!!!
I been coming here for 3 years and Saturday was my last visit to this store indefinitely. I came in at maybe 3 , 2:30 give or take. Theres a female : short glasses. A male : tall dark-skinned in which I have seen the female; the male must be new.I wanted to look up something Id dropped off previously and the young man verbally was so dismissive saying be couldnt help me. Now with me being a reoccurring customer , I know that you can do whats being asked of me and I realize there is only 1 person in that store that cares and thats the manager ashly. I love her and when shes not around things are truly horrible. I will not be back !!!! Customers be warned !!!!!!!
Literally just left the store and I’m shocked at how poorly I was treated. I’ve been to this location a few times and never had any issues. Today I went to drop off two packages - one with a shipping label already on and the other required a code scan - both simple to do. When I approached the counter, the woman ignored me and then finally said “you can walk over here” instead of just taking my packages that were already on the counter, to her left. I had to place them to her right, apparently. Then, she took my packages from me as if I had inconvenienced her from looking at her phone. She processed my first package and told me to have a good day and then I told her I had two packages.. like I initially told her. She processed that one and then looked at me and said “you’re welcome” as if ... as if she had gone beyond her duties for me. Maybe she’s having a bad day? Either way, I shouldn’t be the recipient of her bad mood. Because of this experience, I will use a different location.
I always have a good experience at this UPS location. However, today my experience was exceptional due to the front desk staff named Tom. Tom worked efficiently through a long line of customers and did not complain when I did not have all the materials required for my package. Tom was understanding and guided me through obtaining the proper materials. This experience could have been very frustrating with a less experienced staff member, so it is reassuring to see that this location prioritize both customer service and efficiency.
Best Customer Service I have experienced since moving to Philadelphia four and a half years ago. I entered the store with trepidation around returning a product to Amazon; because of the instructions that the UPS store would print out my return documents.... And Walla!!! Ms. Teeza greeted me while multi-tasking even. She was working with a delivery person for store packages but when she quickly realized I entered the store - her greeting very pleasant asked how she could help - noticing my hesitation she said, no problem let me have the package and dont stress printing out a receipt right away! I was concerned as I hadnt sealed the bag and she assured she would handle everything. And, that she did just that! As I left my doctors appointment and opened my phone there was a receipt from Amazon that my account had been credited.Thank you Teeza - keep up the good work. What you do at UPS is a win-win for you both.
I deal with this UPS Store everyday! They are the most kind and friendly people I have ever met. Ive never had an issue with them, nor any packages Ive sent out. Stop complaining about a business before you deal with them on a regular basis. Even if they were 15 blocks from my store I would still walk down to deal with them every time.
Shirley and Gabriella were incredible when I had to return my huge rug to the store. I had heard many places give a hard time about the return of large items but not these ladies. Their driver Phillip Poulson was also incredible for taking such a large item. Keep up the awesome work!
Went in to drop off a prepaid package that was shipping on my companys UPS account and the clerk refused to let me drop off the package. Apparently this store only accepts returns or items that are shipping on their UPS account. Never run into this issue at any other UPS Store. The clerk then told me I had to drop off my package directly at the UPS warehouse in South Philly (not true, theres a UPS Drop Point 2 blocks away). Not sure what the official UPS policy is on UPS Stores accepting prepaid drop-offs, but this store is clearly out to nickel-and-dime you
Lovely helpful people! Ive been in three times this week, receiving and shipping giant, awkward, HEAVY things and every person who helped me was fantastic. Extra thanks to Ashley who went above and beyond when I was juggling a ton in a city I didnt know- Ashley you are awesome!
Best customer service I have received in a long time, hands down! Shirley and her team are amazing. As soon as I walked through the doors it felt like Ive known them forever. They were extremely humble, friendly, and helpful. I had a painting there for months and the previous manager didnt even hear me out when I told him that it belonged to me. The painting was a picture of my husband, daughter and myself and he still refused to give it to me even when I offered to pay for it after I already paid the painter (who blocked me from all of his contact and stole my money). Many may recognize my painting because it was hanging in the store. I explained the situation to Shirley and she instantly understood and asked me to come pick up what originally belonged to me. What really touched my heart was the support these ladies have going on in the store. They have been collecting and raising money for the homeless and Puerto Rico. My family and I are so thankful! Not only for my painting but also for everything you are all doing there. I will always appreciate everything The Chesnut Street UPS has done for us and going forward they definitely have a loyal customer.P.S. Keep up the great work ladies and dont ever change.Xoxo Merly, Howard and Baby Hailey.
Made an appointment on a Monday morning to have something notarized later that day, and got an email confirming the appointment. Showed up at the designated time only to be told the notary doesnt come in on Mondays. Youll can come back tomorrow. Um, no, I cant just come back tomorrow. And why was I able to make an appointment (and get a confirmation) for a day when that service was not available?
A special Thank you to ERIN for being very professional, kind, polite & answer all my questions. Keep up the great work! All you need is to be kind to each-other and it makes a huge difference in our lives. I wish you tremendous success in your current job & future! Wishing you lots of Blessing! :) thank you! Melissa.... 6/27/2019
Worse UPS store ever. Please think twice before going to rent a mailbox. The workers are rude and irresponsible.I need to deal with all the troublesome things just beacuse they were lack of communication. It is not about 75dollars to set up the box and then nothing got help out,it is about your own ,business.I should read the review before I went there
I have a great experience at this store I was greeted and was treated like I matter. For the employee Mike I take my hat of to your professionalism. Thank you for making sure I understood everything from emailing the return label to the store and the tracking and any other questions I had. I give this place a thumbs up.
Their notary is a young unprofessional and uneducated woman who is acting on notary’s behalf and doesn’t know what she’s doing. Also, their printing services aren’t good either, the employees can’t even send a page to printing! I have never experienced anything of this kind. I am a friendly and peaceful person, but I literally lost it because of the stupidity and rudeness I faced. First of all she called me honey, and calls all her clients huns. How professional is that for a notary? So thats the story: The notary told me she cannot notarize my signature, because it was in a Russian language document. She said: I dont speak Russia ( yes, Russia, not Russian). First of all, she was wrong: notarizing the signature is witnessing that this is my signature, it has nothing to do with the language of the document. I asked her if she was sure about that, because I just need a signature notarized, not a document. She said that she needs to call her boss and ask. After calling her boss she told me that she CAN notarize my signature, but she has to see me signing the document. I asked whether the fact that the document is in Russian is any problem. She said, regardless of the language she can notarize my signature if I sign the document right here. So I needed to print this document and sign it. Printing wasnt working out, one of the employees came to help, tried three times and it still wouldnt print, so the notary came to help her co-worker, saw the document that I was trying to send to print, and said: The document is not in English! I cannot notarize it!!!! Seriously? All over again? I told her that this is not what she just said, and she said that I dont understand a thing, that I shouldnt explain her how to do her work, and that I dont know what I want and I dont want to understand what she is saying!Do yourself a favor, do not go to UPS if you need any of such services, find a professional notary who knows what they are doing. I went to another public notary and got all the papers and a signature on a Russian document notarized in 5 minutes!
Be warned! If you take anything small of value here for shipping, it WILL go missing. At least one employee at this store uses the store as a way to fence merchandise. Your item will be removed from the packaging and resold. Your package will get to the receiver empty and youll be stuck filing UPS claims.
Did not receive good service. Employee would not help me when I brought in a package with a return shipping code and would not explain why. Just shoved a business card in my face and said email then pushed me aside to help the next person. I was so confused. This is how I always take my packages to ups.
Wow Tezza is so rude and unhelpful. I always use this store but today (04/22/2019) she was beyond rudeness and unhelpful. I used the public computer to print something and it didn’t work. I told her because I paid for it, and she told me that she can’t do anything about it because it’s the public computer. I sent it to the store email and she printed the wrong thing and I told her that she printed the wrong thing and she told me that “she didn’t understood my English”. Never ever coming back.
Worst experience ever, they only receive ten packages a day, considering I had called UPS and made special arrangements to pick up my package there, confirmed by the UPS hub. They sent my package back to the hub, with out notifying me. They have poor customer service, are rude, and u- professional. AVOID AT ALL COST! you will be extremely disappointed.
Hey Key here, reaching out from the secret office of Insomistars locations just to inform yall about a Easter egg in the city . (But lets refresh about me 1st) EatStreet is a delivery company where I became a corporate hero; hiring people all over dé states of America; dominating pipelines, cities and small towns!I do think the UPSstore @Chestnut street in philly :^₩ is great. You wouldnt believe all the possibilities of mailing options they actully have available to the community. There are options from Free Comcast, university student Book returns, DHL (International mailing) to using Freight to ship off vehicles to Alaska if you have to. Not to mention, (with the proper concent forms) packages like video auto equipment and ^^^^:/Basquiat paintings are all guaranteed to be shipped safety to any location; due to thier inventory of bubble wrap, styrofoam (peanuts), and large variety of premium double layer boxes.
I went there 7/26/19 around 4:50pm with two packages to return it was already to go but the only thing it wasnt tape up I ask for the tape and she said we have to charge u for just taping up my package one for Amazon and Samsung next time FedEx it free for taping up a packages

2022-04-27After scrolling through some of the other reviews, I have to say, I am not surprised to see Jays name mentioned so many times. Jay is amazing. I rely on this UPS location often and he greets me like a friend. I actually look forward to going through that door, to be honest. That said, the rest of the staff is absolutely wonderful as well and I would name everyone specifically if I could but Im pretty bad with names, but I see Jay most often. There was a manager there one day that I had the pleasure of working with one day and I REALLY wish I remembered her name, as well as several other people there trying to help my company with a rather large shipment that we needed within a short amount of time. Not only did they go out of their way to get everything together and all of the information (logistics and cost) for me but when it came out to such a high cost, they helped me consider other options that would be more timely AND cost effective. They seriously did all that work with contacting freight, weighing, locating large enough packaging, etc...only to see the cost and help me find something a little different. This place really is awesome.

2022-05-22I want to wholeheartedly commend the UPS Store in my Center City, Philly neighborhood, Store 6025. They are prompt & efficient and warm to their customers. Very special kudos for the upbeat and resourceful gentleman named Jay and also his kind teammate, Lashonda. Jay has elevated the entire vibe of an already reliable UPS store. My sincere appreciation.

2022-04-07I was helped by Jay this week to ship back some items that I could not squeeze into my suitcase for a flight. He was so helpful, and very friendly! As someone visiting Philly that week, he was a highlight. I appreciated his quick assistance. Definitely recommend!

2022-03-18I’ve been coming here for two years and always found the staff really helpful (which is why I always recommended ppl come here instead of USPS). Came in today and their Friday afternoon front desk was extremely rude, completely unhelpful, and actively telling me to use a different postal service for a basic mailing need. It’s disappointing because two staff members that used to work there were great.

2022-04-13I just went over to this store to fax a bunch of medical receipts & paperwork to my insurance provider... Ive never used a fax machine and had no idea what I was doing. Jay works there and helped me out a TON. He went above & beyond what his job requirements are & probably spent 20 minutes helping me scan receipts & papers & getting everything together to send the fax through. Thanks a ton Jay!!

2022-03-30I have been coming to this store for 4 years to ship for the company I work for and I have seen them have some of the best customer service personnel but over the past 6 months theres been a drastic change in the overall store. Its always filthy and the atmosphere is so dead now. The UPS STORE can be quite time consuming as we all know and it use to be such a pleasure to visit when Ashely and Khalid were there but it seems as though since they got rid of them the store has run its course. This store needs a crash course on customer service. There are literally several ways to ship nowadays and I refuse to spend my money here any longer. Im saddened to say but this is no longer my go-to UPS since my fave is gone. I recommend trying your luck at FedEx.

2022-05-19When I walked in and saw there was a line I thought my experience dropping off a package was gonna be a hassle. Nope! Jay went above and beyond to help those in front of me, move through the line quickly by multitasking, and just generally being a helpful pleasant human being!

2022-06-27Teeza was an absolute angel helping me and my husband get 15+ notary and witness signatures while the line started piling up out the door. Teeza could clearly tell how anxious I was feeling about making other people wait, and repeatedly reminded me that what I was doing was important and not to worry about everyone else. She was kind, funny, professional, and an absolute joy to interact with. Thank you, Teeza!

2022-03-04Paid for a package to be shipped and it was lost by UPS. After calling their main customer service number, was told that a claim was created, and the store would handle things. The store did initially call and asked for me to email proof of value, which I did. I never heard anything back. After following up a week later, the store confirmed they received and put through all necessary forms, and Id hear back in a week. Two weeks go by without any notification.Call the main UPS number where the rep told me that nothing was uploaded and that they were waiting for the store. When you call the store, NO ONE can help you beside the owner. I left multiple messages for the owner to email me or call me back and no response. Today, called the store again for an update and told the owner was not in, and they had no idea when he was because he didnt have a schedule.THEN WAS HUNG UP ON.Its now over a month of this headache. NEVER EVER EVER will I do business with these bunch of clowns. I also now know Im probably out the money and value for the item I shipped. DO NOT TRUST.
