The UPS Store in other cities:
I have become a repeat customer BECAUSE Scott and, when he is not there, his team are friendly, competent and in no way overbearing. From drop off to complicated international document shipping, during normal hours or just before closing the service endures. USPS would have no survival issues running on their vibe!!!
Even though mailing and returning packages can be aggravating and time consuming, my experience with this UPS location has been always positive. They’re friendly and helpful and I feel better after I’ve been there. I left my phone at the desk yesterday, and a UPS employee ran down the street to return it to me.
If I could give negative stars I certainly would. I have been to this location to get other out of state documents notarized with no problems. However, there was a new person there today when I went to this location to get a notary to attest to my identity/signature on two out of state court documents I need to file for my mothers estate. It should have been simple right? Because that is what notaries do. Well, this man crossed out the State of NC on the court documents and wrote in Philadelphia, PA. He tried to tell me he can only notarized documents from the State of PA. Someone should take his license. A notary can notarize an out-of-state document as long as it conforms to the attestation of the state in which the notary is licensed. If not, the notary should use his/her own attestation if he/she is concerned with the wording. NOT alter a court document to verify I am who I say I am. You should go back and read the rules of your license. And to the women who interjected herself in my business calling herself an attorney and saying a notary cannot notarized documents from another state, I hope you are no longer practicing law and you should mind your business if you do not know what you are talking about.
The store is not an Access Point. I wish it werent listed on major sites as one if they are just going to use their right to refused mail. I get refusing mail from a shady place but this was Newegg, a major distributor. I never really cared for this location in the first place. Even the ladies at the post office are easier to deal with.I recommend using the Business Center on 7th or just going to the one in Center City.
Ive been a mailbox customer at this store for over 15 years. In that time Ive utilized the full gamut of services, from receiving parcels to shipping to packing to printing and everything in between. The service has always been exemplary and I cannot think of a single problem Ive had in over 15 years. I just used them to print a detail-oriented project right before Christmas, their busiest time of year for parcels. Despite the volume going through the store, Scott took my job on short notice, did it quickly, beautifully, improving the quality, exceeding my expectations. He has a master eye for detail and visual aesthetics which serves him well in his printing services. Dont underestimate the printing services available at this store. The owner may come off as intense at times, but after 15 years, Ive come to appreciate this as one facet of a passionate, dedicated personality which stems from his genuine drive to give everyone who walks through his doors the best possible service.
The workers were friendly and accommodating. The owner, however, was not. I have a service German Shepherd that was initially allowed entry. The owner, Scott, then told his employees not to engage with the animal and I was asked to wait outside as he was too big for his store. We were waiting patiently in the corner and did not block foot traffic. This was my first and last time using this location. The Old City location has always welcomed us and we will continue to utilize their locations services only.
The friendliness of All the employees and the enforcement of the social distancing during this times IT’s OUTSTANDING, thank you Scott and the rest of the crew, Sonsorry I don’t know all the names...Been sending packages since last year almost everyday . Never had a problem. And if they closed and the package need to go out same day, Oregon Ave. In Philadephia opens late!
Have had a positive experience every time I visit. Mostly use the store for shipping packages and everyone here has always been exceptionally friendly and helpful. Also had a great experience with having documents printed quickly, easily, and professionally. They also provide notary services which was also quick and easy to use!
Guy on the phone was incredibly rude. He asked if I did box orders with them. Considering thats a UPS term and I dont get many packages from them to begin with I didnt know what that meant. He got a huge attitude with me when he had to explain it to me. He had no customer service skills what so ever. Never using that location again
Ive been using this UPS store since I moved to the area. The owner and all the staff are very helpful, thorough, and prompt. Ive only used them for shipping services but I assume theyre equally as good at the printing and mailbox services. One time I brought a return in that I thought was UPS, turns out I had a total brain fart and it was USPS. The guy taped my box shut for me anyway and sent me next door to the post office with a have a nice day.Thank you!
I have been a UPS Store 614 S 4th Street customer for over 10 years. Scott and his team are exceptional...detail oriented, professional, great follow-thru and communication. Ive lived overseas last 2 years and they have been dependable and helpful when Ive needed important parcels forwarded. Highly recommend!!!
Local owner and nice staff. Quick and helpful service for UPS Mailbox services. Also, a great plus that they are open later so I can get my packages after work. Beats any other UPS store Ive walked into in Philly (eg. CC). Would recommend to anyone for Mailbox services, and it seems most people I see using their copy/print type services are usually pretty happy.
Everyone working there is friendly, competent, and honest about what services they can offer. I cant tell you how many printing places and shipping places will exaggerate their potential, especially for good quality prints, but these guys were very straightforward and delivered a better product for cheaper. And they got my grad school applications across the world in a timely and reliable way. Thanks! Ill be back, easily.
The store and it’s manager, and team members are rock stars. I visited there stores on many occasions and have always been treated in professional and friendly manner. They never stray from being there to help you. Most recently, a friend of mine needed photos printed from her phone for a memorial poster for her father’s funeral. After she going to different stores,( not going to mention their names - cough, cough~Cvs and Walgreens) they were unable retrieve or print the photos. Not to mention they didn’t even attempt to help her. I informed her to go see Scott and he would assist her. Scott came through as I thought with flying colors. He instructed her how to send the photos and had the photos printed in an timely manner. My friend and her family were given much relief at such a stressful time. They were elated that someone took time to help then have a special tribute to their father and husband. I am proud to say Scott and the team went over and beyond to help her and I know they would do it agin. It’s in their nature. I cannot thank you all enough!
I was seeking product solutions thatll help amplify my business pipelines. Unfortunately, this UPS store does NOT have the resources to serve businesses. Its disappointing that I have to use another company. I would much rather use a well established company like UPS, but this UPS store is not service friendly.
Avoid this store if you can. Save your money and go to Fedex they have helpful friendly employees and no hassle print and go machines. The owner / or manager will have a temper tantrum if he feels your business in his store is not important or priority enogh for him to do. The other works are either clueless or aloof and will basically argue with you to inflate their ego. Ive worked for the ups store, its a franchise so any moron can open a store. It takes a special kind of jack ass to manage one.
I walked in to get a notary signature and was greeted with four incredibly helpful and friendly staff members. While one lady worked hard to notarize my paperwork, three others engaged in witty banter on topics ranging from neuroplasticity to spirituality. It was a surprisingly and unexpectedly fun encounter. Scott, the owner, was especially warm and welcoming. Would definitely come back again!
This is not only for this location but ups as a whole. They throw your package off the truck, ring your bell and run, and are just generally unpleasant to deal with. This store in particular is full of some of the rudest jerkoffs I have ever met. Where do you learn customer service from? They are probably so angry because of all the destroyed packages that come back through here. I am already mad my package is broken I dont some jerk telling me its my fault.
This is such a great find! Really fantastic printing of all sizes on all kinds of media. Very high quality, and they can print out really large sizes too. Talk with Scott - he knows what hes doing, and is so great to work with. Hell tell you if what you want to do is going to work, and if not will help figure out the best way to get it done and will think of creative ways to work within your budget. Highly recommend!
Called them asking for help with my package. The guy on the other line was extremely rude and wouldnt even give me a minute to explain my situation stating if its not from this store its not our problem. Absolutely one of the rudest customer service calls I have experienced.dont bother if you need help

2021-12-01I had such a nice experience in this UPS that I must leave a review. I was making a return using amazon ups drop off and it was my first time using this service and visiting this location. I went early in the morning and found parking right outside. A customer was at the counter and the man behind the counter greeted me and let me know he would be right with me. Which it rare these days! Its so nice to have an employee acknowledge your existence when you walk into their business. The service was great, the man at the counter was friendly, fast, helpful and personable. I never thought to expect a personable experience from UPS but here we are!Highly recommend this location for all services: Printing, mailing, faxing, etc etc.

2022-03-25Do not have packages sent here! I paid for overnight shipping for important medication to this location. The sender put hold for pickup and I registered a MY UPS CHOICE account access point as here. The package was marked as accepted by a Scott and then an hour and a half later was marked return to sender. FedEx seems to have no problem holding packages at their stores for customers but UPS doesn’t. Luckily I got ahold of corporate to get it held at the center in South Philly but had to spend $30 in fees to Uber down there (it’s far from public transit) and negates the point of paying for overnight delivery. Now I’m waiting in line praying I can get my important meds before they close for the weekend. Don’t see myself using UPS in the future now. Also wasn’t the only customer at the S 4th store that day having difficulties. Luckily one of the employees was kind and gave me directions to the hub.

2022-06-30Store requires masks without reason. If they can’t let me choose to wear a mask I will be choosing their competitors.

2021-07-17I had a great experience at UPS Store #3633. I shipped 3 large glass framed portraits from Pennsylvania to Michigan and because the pieces were odd shaped and fragile I was expecting it to be a hassle, but it wasnt. It took less than 10 minutes for the entire transaction. The attendants at the store did all of the boxing and labeling for me. They were cordial and professional. The shipment arrived in the 2 days they estimated and the portraits were in the same condition I initially shipped them in. Very pleased with my experience.

2021-12-31Anytime Ive been in here its very efficient and they are open long hours. Today a lunatic man was yelling at the employees making a scene, cursing, and being condescending, I think because he didnt want to put on a mask. Scott was professional and appropriate in how he handled the situation making sure his employees and other customers were safe, despite the man escalating and video taping everyone. Thank you, Scott

2021-03-13Scott and his team are the very best; I cant recommend them highly enough! My work demands that I use various UPS stores in greater Philadelphia; frankly, the efficiency, quality and service at this store far outstrips those at other stores I have frequented.Their print services are of the highest quality; they have produced everything from one-pagers to hundreds of booklets for us, and all have been executed as if I had gone to a high-end print shop.
