The Village Veterinarian in other cities:
Have been coming here since moving to the area and have never had a bad experience. Recently had to put down our family cat and in addition to sending us a copy of his paw print to remember him by, the staff took the time to write us a card too. This little extra act of kindness was very much appreciated.
Took my new rescue to her first visit today. I was a little nervous to drop her off and not come in with her but the staff at the office were very kind and put me at ease. After Indy went inside I quickly received a call from Dr. P herself to answer any questions I had and also explain what was completed today as well as what to expect in the coming visits. The receptionist, Heather then came on the phone and scheduled my next visit. Indy came out happy after a great first visit. Thank you for putting my new puppy mom nerves at ease. We will definitely be coming back!
Best Vet in the Area by far! Dr. P and her staff are just amazing. I found this practice over 5 years ago after taking my dog to many others. I actually had so many bad experiences before finding this team that I was driving back to NYC for vet care. Not anymore!!Dr. P is the most loving and kind doctor. Rachael is an amazing technician as well, and my dog lights up every time she sees her! My dog actually looks forward to going there..even though shes had her teeth cleaned and rectal temperature taken many times! That says something about how the animals are treated behind closed doors.Dr. P really takes time to get to know your animal and what their personality is. She is always friendly, but more important she is extremely competent. Cant say enough good things about this place and I am pretty picky when it comes to my dogs health care.
They are the best. I had to put my baby boy down. They were so caring and comforting to me and my boy. They let me stay beyond the end. I was never rushed. A week later i received in thevmsil the most precious thing. It was a paw print. I will cherish that print. Thank you to all at the Village Veterarian.
We love Dr. P and her staff and most importantly, so does our dog. A friend recommended Dr. P to us after having a horrible experience with our previous vet. It was the best referral! She is genuinely kind and caring. She has talked me through some breakdowns and always is a calming voice without being condescending. There is no sticker shock here either! Dr. P and her staff will walk you through options and the invoice before you walk out of the examination room. Our previous vet barely looked at our dog and then we were hit with a ridiculous bill in front of a packed waiting room. I have recommended Village Vet to friends and will continue to do so. A few of my friends have started using this practice and they are very pleased too. OH -- and it is always very clean! I wish there were more than 5 stars to give!
This staff really cares about not only your furbaby but also you. We had to take our senior cat Asha there she was not herself, turns out she had a tumor that was most likely cancer. This was the worst day we had to say our goodbye to her and the compassion from the staff was such a comfort to us.
The staff at Village Vet are all extremely nice and remember who I am and who my dog is. The vets have an excellent background and always make themselves available for any questions (even the stupid ones). The staff answering the phones are also very friendly. Highly recommend Village Vet!
They are very caring and nurturing people that work here they generally really do care I had to have my cat Shadow put down yesterday on October 18th 2021 and they were so nice and so gentle and so caring set alarm me to spend as much time as I needed with her there are the best truly the best Ive always taking both my cats there I definitely give them five stars if I could I would give them 10 plus.
First of all this office is very clean!! Which I appreciate! The staff is pretty awesome. They are caring and know what they are doing. Dr. P is so sweet. Ive been bringing my dog and cat here since they opened. She always takes her time with them and me. Love this place
I have taken my various cats over many many years. We go way back with dr P even before she started village veterinarian over 2 previous locations. She has always been there for me especially for Bushie who was my favorite cat . He died at an early age from lymphoma. Thru the devastating experience she was there for me. Forever grateful. Meribel is pushing the age of 20 and I’m confident that dr P is taking good care of my senior citizen. Go there you will not be disappointed
I have luckily only had to go to the vet a couple of times but I have to say we love the village vet. They are timely, professional, and provide excellent care for our cats. They dont try to upsell you and items or procedures unless its absolutely necessary. My boys love visiting their doctors here at the village vet. Definitely a place to bring your pets
Let me first say this is my first negative review ever and if I could give negative stars I would! This place disgust me. I had a major issue with my Pet and they just dismissed me. Did not even contact the Dr until I called 3 times! Don’t go here. They don’t care about your pet!!! Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!
Very nice and knowledgeable practice, the people are great.I had to bring my pup to VSEC for a paw injury last Sunday. I stopped by The Village Vet Tuesday to get her records updated with the VSEC visit, they already knew all about what happened and her condition. Very well connected practice. I HIGHLY recommend The Village Vet:)
Dr.P and staff are awesome.I have a semi- rare full blood , black, Czechoslovakian German Shepard. He is a serious herding dog, and a great protection dog, also a great family dog. However he is wilder than your standard G.S.D. He has injured his rear knee, has gotten Lymes disease, and scratched his eyeball over the years guarding our property. Dr. p and staff have help us heal when needed , and keep our G.S.D healthy for the last 7 years. He will be 9 yrs. old in July of 2020, but make no mistake, he can still make it to the property line in 2.1 seconds(faster than the fastest NFL player ever)all because of Village Veterinarians care and advice over the years. THEY GENUINELY CARE about your pet!
Ive been taking my 2 Cats and Dog to Dr.P since 2011 and have never been happier! They are so patient and kind. One of my cats is very anxious, and they do everything possible to accommodate him. My dog is a senior with Many many medical issues and they are always there to help (even when I call randomly panicked over something that ends up being nothing!) They have always been there for my fur babies. We will never see anyone else!
This is a great veterinarian. Our two cats were very scared and leery of a vet visit. They were made to feel pretty comfortable around the staff and Dr. Polaneczky did a complete checkup for our kitties and was very thorough. Vaccination shots were a breeze. Our problem child got a nice nail clipping too.
Dr. P and her staff are awesome . we started going there a couple of years ago when are old dog max got sick and they took great care of him . we have a new puppy now ( english bulldog ) who has losts of issues .Whenever we have a problem dr. P always has an answer . The whole staff are always very friendly and very knowledgable . I am always telling people how great village vet is and always rec. them any time i talk to others about taking there there pets to vets . People always have negative things to say when they take there pets to vets but i always have possitive things to say about village vets.
I dont understand the bad reviews. I recommend Dr. Polaneczky and Village Vet to all my friends and family and I have had many different issues she has diagnosed and treated for my dogs. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Patient staff as my Australian shepherd can be a handful. Ive had dental work done, stitches removed, blood work / cancer issues, and bleeding gastrointestinal issues from antibiotics. With every problem Dr. Polaneczky always listened to my issues and provided multiple options and possible side effects if asked. You can tell they generally care about your animals and it shows in their work. If something causes an issue, like the antibiotics, they are always quick to respond and find a solution for your pet. Every pet is different and reacts differently to treatment, just like people. Even if things dont go perfectly, I trust Village Vet to be there and do everything possible to make sure my pets return to a healthy and happy state.
My boyfriend and I took my 8 year old cat (for a worms problem) and his kitten (for her first check up and shots along with getting a worms treatment to prevent her from getting them too). the nurse and the dr were both amazing, so very sweet and and understanding. the care was exceptional, though my only problem is the worm medication that was given to our cats was a topical medication and didnt work at all, we had to take my baby to another vet for different meds. but i will say that well be back very soon to take our rescues to be checked out very soon
2013: Dr. Polaneczky prescribed Proin to my dog when she had a UTI. Despite my attempts to explain to her that it wasnt incontinence, she stated that she was incontinent and needed to take this medication for her entire life span. Went to another vet for a second opinion, prescribed the correct antibiotic, and my dog has been free and clear of her UTI and any urinary accidents.Update: Standard procedure for undetectable urinalysis is to sample directly from the bladder. My dog had urine extracted from her bladder via a syringe by a more thorough veternarian and had the urine analyzed. This option was not offered at the Village Veterinarian. Instead, my request for further testing was denied ( contrary to the reply below) and was told she had incontinence and would need to be on meds the rest of her life. This was my ONLY OPTION offered. This didnt sound logical. The owners reply below stated there were budgetary concerns, yet I had the procedure done right away at another local vet. The procedure showed that she indeed still had an infection that was cured. I have all the documentation to prove this. The response below stated it is not medically sound to prescribe a stronger antibiotic yet is was medically sound to blindly trial Proin for a lifetime?Lastly, contrary to the reply below regarding me still being upset was not my motivation in writing this review. I felt it was my duty to help others through my experience and to second guess any vet if you receive information that doesnt sound logical. Im glad I did.Its Novemeber 2017 and my dog is still continent and thank God I second guessed this vets advice and got a second opinion.

2022-07-06Nala absolutely love visiting all the girls at the Village! They are all great and answer any and all questions! Her doctor is super sweet and is always super patient with Nala! She got spayed and chipped today and it was a great experience! They took good care of her, gave us up dates and let us know how her day was during pickup! Prices are reasonable and the staff is wonderful with their animals! Definitely recommend!

2021-12-28My dog loves coming here! Dr. P is awesome, always so friendly and willing to answer any questions. Angel the tech and Maria the receptionist are the absolute nicest. Maria is beyond helpful, always the sweetest when you call. Even if they don’t have an opening right away, they give you other recommendations to try and help. Great vet across the board.

2022-06-22I could not be more impressed with my first experience with the Village Vet. We were brand new patients and they were able to see us quickly for an issue with our 14 y/o cat. From the moment I walked in we felt welcomed to the time, attention and care given to me AND most importantly my cat, I was completely thrilled with our visit. You can tell they genuinely care for your pets. Rachel and Dr. Byrd was awesome particularly with my fur ball who doesntlike his medical visits. I will for sure be back for follow up for my cat and any other pet we have for our lifetime! Thank you for taking such good care of Cabo!

2022-04-12ABSOLUTELY LOVE this Vet office. I recently switched and have been so impressed at how communicative they are about everything. Making an appointment is seamless. I love that I can e-mail the doctor with concerns and she responds back so quickly. They are extremely professional, the office is clean and pet friendly 😂

2021-12-27My dog is so scared of the vet. When we got here for our first apt the vet tech got down on the floor to greet her and made sure she was comfortable before starting anything. No vets ever done that before. She wasnt shaking during her apt and got treatment for her back/leg injury. She is doing much better and on our return visit they even clipped her nails without her flailing around. Dr p and the rest of the team did so good with my little baby. Highly recommend them

2022-03-07I love this vet. The staff is so friendly and they are so good with my cats. The cats hate the vet (I mean what pet doesn’t?) and they just make the experience better for them. They’re also really good with answering all of your questions and concerns. I have anxiety and am always worried about my cats but they’re always there to help and offer advice. I recommend them to my friends and family all the time!

2022-04-01I’ve had poor experiences with many other vets in the area, and these folks always go above and beyond to help take care of my pets. They’re very knowledgeable, kind, and honest in their work. I feel so safe having them care for my pets.

2021-08-11Everyone at this animal hospital was kind and thoughtful. They did everything possible (short of medication) to calm our 2 cats, up to and including letting us sit in the exam room for 10-15 minutes so our furbabies could have a good smell around. They handled the cats gently and lovingly. Good bedside manner.
