Why are you deleting honest negative reviews on Facebook?!On 3/25/22 I saw that Thomas Automotive was advertising 2 used WRX’s. A blue and white one. I filled out a test drive request for 3/26. I was immediately contacted by Heidi and she advised the Blue one wasn’t ready to be sold just yet and a sales person had the keys signed out but was sure for what but advised that she would find out first thing 3/26.So on 3/26 she told me that she had the white one there to be looked at and the blue one still wasn’t ready. So I drive down to Bedford from Johnstown. When I arrive Heidi turns me over to Chris and then proceeds to advise me that the white one has been sold already but could start the paperwork on the blue one. Chris takes us to his office and I ask to visually see the blue at which time he hesitated and said he’s not exactly sure where the blue one is and is beating around the bush until I ask him again to see it. He tells he will go find out. Well 10min later he finds it but it’s in Cumberland. I say ok well that’s like 30min from here we will just drive there to see it. Chris said that they can’t get a hold of anyone down there and doesn’t want me to make a trip for nothing. I asked if they close early and he said 3 and I replied well it’s 130 now. Chris then says he’s going to talk to someone…well after 15min of waiting I walk out only to be met by Chris in the lobby at which time he says “so apparently that car was backed into or something earlier in the week and now needs some body work”I said really?? Because your advertising a clean car fax on that vehicle and walked out
I purchased a 2021 Equinox in Patton in Mid-June, then was transferred to Bedford. When time came for my first oil change and tire rotation, I could not travel back to where I purchased the vehicle , so came to Thomas Chevrolet Express Service.I was happily surprised to find my service was covered by GM. There was a clean waiting room with comfortable seating and a Keurig coffee machine for service customers who were waiting. I would recommend Thomas Chevrolet service. I have never had any experience with their sales team, therefore, I am giving the dealership an 8 out of 10. I was satisfied and will return.
Extremely disrespectful towards customers. Me and my sister took off work and drove 4 hours one way for a vehicle I called about a day in advance and in morning ensuring it was still available before I make the drive with my elderly mom as it was supposed to be for her. When I got to the dealer I was told it was gone on a joy ride out of state by one of the managers and that it will be back 3 days later with 1,000+ additional miles on it. Chris and Nathan told me the best they can do is $20 gas refill for the day we wasted. This is the most unprofessional attitude I have seen. All I asked for was a courtesy call before I leave to make 8 hour roundtrip letting me know if it was on the lot or not. Would leave ZERO stars if I could.
If zero was an option that’d best describe this business. In august I had hit a deer with my 2009 Chevy Silverado, had it quoted and they said “it won’t take that long because theirs no paint work.” Then said about a 4 week wait before they could get to my truck. No problem so I dropped the truck off on September 15th, because I didn’t have another vehicle to drive so I waited 4 weeks then dropped it off. Well it’s now December 20 and they still have not got it done. When asked about it they make up some pathetic excuse as to why it’s not done. Truthfully I hate to post something like this but it needs to be said.
I purchased a used classic car from them ten years ago and although I live in the Altoona area, I go to them for all services, repairs and inspections. Their friendly service advisors and the service people are well worth the trip.Ive gotten better service from them than I have my local dealer that I have purchased six new cars in the last 15 years. This dealership is well worth the drive from anyone in the area.
Nate did an amazing job. From when we first walked in he was patient and nice. He went above and beyond to find the car I wanted. And really took care of us. The finance guys were very nice as well. Checked in with me when I was waiting and kept me company. The service department is so kind. They are the first to beable to find my warranty without issue and not over sell me on things I dont need. All around would recommend Thomas Chevrolet.
**Edited after experience Ive had since purchase **- Nate Solt was great thru the sales experience! My husband and I were made to feel like we were old friends, rather than just customers. Everything after that has been absolutely ridiculous! Constant miscommunications, if any communication, between the Bedford and Johnstown locations, and with me. At one point, both locations had me scheduled for the same service because of their miscommunication with each other. I have spent more time over the past 7 weeks coordinating services that Ive already paid for, than I ever should have to, because of all of the communication failures. Every time Im told that work on my vehicle is complete, and Im promised to have the vehicle returned to me, theres always been some other set back or mishap. Its been either the job wasnt completed properly, or something else happens that prevents me from actually being able to drive the car that I am already paying for. They have had it in and out of their possession for 2 weeks out of the past 7 weeks since I purchased it. It should not take that long to have undercoating, paint protection and accessories put on. There was a small blemish on the paint of the vehicle when I purchased it, which my salesman and I were both aware of. I was told it would be fixed, and it was supposedly fixed, but a small spot (less than the size of a pea) was missed and it still needed to be touched up again. When the vehicle was finally finished the second time, I was promised it would be delivered to me. However 5 minutes later, I was notified that there was another issue, with my side mirror no longer working, which happened when the paint was being fixed, so I again wasnt able to have it returned to me. I was then told that they would see when they could schedule it to be fixed... Seriously? You would think that the job would be escalated as a top priority, especially after they are the ones that caused the issue. I would recommend the purchase of a vehicle, but absolutely nothing after the point of sale.
I purchased a vehicle from Thomas’s in May of 2021. I had two different issues while I was out of town that required me to go to other dealerships to get them handled. There was also a miscommunication when I purchased the vehicle about the condition of the tires. I wrote to Thomas’s and detailed my concerns, and within 12 hours I had Chris Carpenter calling to make everything right. I cannot thank him enough—I initially was upset with Thomas’s, but I am now reassured that they will take care of their customers and uphold their commitment to quality. I love the vehicle I bought, and I am excited to do future business with Thomas Chevrolet in Bedford.
Wes McKutchen was super helpful as the sales associate that walked me through my new purchase. I was offered an excellent trade for my vehicle and the finance team was able to get me a super rate on my loan. I love the new 2021 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss. Only thing is I wish Chevy would have included some floor mats. Other than that, I am stoked!
Just recently purchased a vehicle and dealt with Chris F. I am so pleased with my entire experience. Chris was extremely helpful and worked with my situation to get me into the vehicle I really wanted. I cant speak highly enough about him. He is out to truly make your experience with the dealership positive. He is very courteous and is not the stereotypical pushy salesman. I will definitely recommend this establishment to anyone I know that is in the market for a vehicle.
I have the drive forever warranty. My car broke down less than a mile from the dealership. Called in for a tow and to get the car fixed since it was covered forever! They immediate go into a memorized script. The tow is an extra charge, diagnostic is an extra charge, if its a specific part we replaced the part, if its the motor or transmission, we try to find a used motor or transmission, if we cant find used, then we look install re-manufactured. It will cost you this and it will cost you that and then if its not the motor or transmission, it will be the full cost of the breakdown When I bought the car, this wasnt passed on to me, I explained that the reason I was buying another car was because the motor died in my previous vehicle and I was stranded on the way home from work. The salesman went on and on, if I buy the car with the drive forever warranty, Ill never have to worry about something like that happening again. I called another towing company and had the car fixed elsewhere. Im writing this review years later because somebody stopped me and asked about buying a car from Thomas, I explained my situation and stopped them from spending $10,000 on a used car they were going to buy. Customer service is everything!
My husband & I recently purchased a vehicle from Thomas in Bedford. I had car trouble with my old car to where it really was not fixable, it would cost more money than I thought it was worth. So we went car shopping, we had a few other places in mind at first, but we decided to visit Thomas first since it is the closest for us. Mike James was our salesman, the process through him and also Nathan for doing our paperwork, it was one of the best experiences weve ever had. They were not pushy, let us decide if it was right for us. I test drove a couple cars, but ended up with the perfect car for us. Since we purchased it, we have brought it in once to have auto armor put on. The service people are also amazing, the car was so clean inside & out. I had a few things in the car that they put in the trunk neatly. From now on, we will always do our business with Thomas, they made a stressful time much easier. Thank you!!
Was there to look at a truck. Was told it was getting dents fixed in the body shop! Thats fine. Wouldnt be done until Friday! Stopped Friday and bam it was sold. Never left me know it was out or nothing. Very unhappy about this! Young man was the person I was dealing with! I wont put names out. Sorry you want my business, be up honest and truthful. Very disappointed
So disappointed in Thomass. I took my car to get check engine light fixed, they said I needed a new CAT. Fixed that. Few months later, check engine light back on, take it back to Thomass. Spark plug and other odd things. Six miles down the road from picking car up engine like back on and making horrible ticking sound. Car made zero sounds until they fixed my car. Took car back. Now it needs to be torn apart. This is unacceptable. They broke my car and want me to pay to fix it. Never again. Not a good dealership at all!
I whole heartedly recommend you trust your cars service or new purchase to this dealer. Let me tell you why. On 13 July 19 my family and I were passing by Bedford, PA on the turnpike on our way home from vacation when our Equinox broke down. We had the car towed to the dealer and it was 4:00 pm when we arrived. One hour before the service dept. closed. Jordan agreed to help us out and see if the car was an easy fix. He said they would stay late if necessary. The computer showed serious problems. Since our car had over 105k miles, we said, give us a fair trade and a fair offer and we will buy a new car tonight. We were easy pickings to be taken advantage of. Especially since we had two kids and two cats with us and it was 95 degrees. They gave us a fair price for the trade-in despite its damage and an even better deal on a new car. Their price was better than 2 car buying services we used. Jordan, Chris Faul and Nathan are above board people. You can trust them. I would do it again if I was in the area.
Awesome experience, bought my first truck there. I was referred to Kyle Trinka, he was a great guy that didnt push me to buy anything and was completely honest about everything. Most importantly he was patient and helped me get a truck that worked best for me. The rest of the staff is super nice too, but highly highly highly recommend going to see Kyle for your next vehicle. He evens calls a couple days after to make sure you are still happy with your purchase. Thank you again Thomas Chevrolet Subaru and all the staff!
Everyone there made my car purchasing experience wonderful and stress free. It wasnt easy for me to trade in my car (emotional attachment) However they understood and even took the time to take a picture of me and my car before I handed over the keys. They truly care about their customers.
Deceptive fees, very dishonest. I was planning to come out, drive and buy a car. Since it was a long drive, I wanted to make sure I knew about all their fees (website price is not the price, they rack on lots of fees on top of that). This is what Stephanie said:Hello,The price would be $11,658.68.$10,498-Vehicle$55.00-Title$38.00-Registration$16.80-Online Registration$32.00-Temp Tag$629.88-TaxTotal $11,658.68Please let me know how you want to proceed. Now Im no math major but if you add all those numbers up they do not add up to $11,658.68. Its actually $11,269.68. So they tried to stick me with another nearly $400 in fees. I caught them red-handed but I bet a lot of people dont and they get taken advantage of.Follow up: the owners response is baloney bc I gave them my county and my tax rate so there is no reason not to give me a firm price. Also they didnt address the fact that the fees they listed dont add up to the total cost
Fast friendly services, and the crew has always been upfront about all cost. After a service a mechanic left a little grease stain when placing new oil Change sticker. I took the outback back a few days later and they dropped everything and made it right. Thanks again!
The phone staff I believe her name was Jen was courteous yet professional and my salesperson Mike was knowledgeable and extremely focused on helping me get out of a nightmare of being extremely upside down on a six year old kia and with the manager Don and the backroom financiers finding a comfortable way for me to get into a new 2020 spark I couldnt be more grateful and satisfied with the team there and my new car. They will forever be my first stop when looking for another vehicle and all my friends are already hearing how over the moon I am and recommending Thomas Chevrolet for there next vehicle purchase.
This was my second purchase of a new Chevy truck atthe Thomas Dealership in Bedford, PA. I can say that I wasgreeted as a friend and never pressured about anything. Thesales staff was mostly interested that I could get the vehiclethat I wanted rather than what they wanted to sell to me.Knowing beforehand what the price range should be forwhat I wanted, I feel that I was presented with a reasonabledeal. I didnt feel that I should shop around farther becausethe price was right and I wanted to buy from this dealer. Mymaintenance experiences with my last truck had always beenpositive, and I knew that would continue.I have recommended this dealership to others and I willcontinue to do so. Larry Garlock
Buying a car is never a fun experience for me but at Thomas I found it doesnt have to be a loathsome chore either. No haggle pricing and no pressure sales made it easy for me to feel more comfortable. I was able to bring my own lender and the entire process was hassle-free. Im pleased to recommend Thomas!
Prompt friendly service. Salesmen are not paid on commission, so no high pressured sales deals. We will definitely be going back to Thomas Chevrolet for future sales and deals. Shout out to Cheyanne, you go girl! Thank you for your excellent caring attention you gave to us.
Sorry but thomes Chevorlet in Bedford pa is not the place to go for maintenance for anything. I had my truck in and out of this place thinking it was a good place to go but no BAD idea. I wasted thousands of dollars, very poor mechanics. they say it’s that one part that’s bad but turns out it’s not that part so there goes hundreds of dollars into there pocket and out of mine. I think if they replace a part and doesn’t fix the problem they should have to pay for that part so your not paying for 4 different parts till the problem is fixed so I HIGHLY SUGGEST if u wanna save money do not go there for maintenance very very bad experience.
Had to have paint repaired from the paintless dent repair done 4 years ago. I was told by Jay Good luck since its been 4 years He said this like nothing was going to be done about it. Well Geico took care of it - all I had to do was explain what happened that the paint cracked from the PDR. No problem. If Geico wouldnt have written the check to them I wouldve probably went somewhere else. Dale is a great person though and his secretary but I dont like how Jay handled things. He was no help. We will never go back to the body shop because of him. The work done was good and they gave us a loaner car which was fantastic. We have bought several cars from Thomas and instead of Jay being so unconcerned he should have more compassion for customers.
Wondeful.came looking and they picked one out they thought id like.i love it.just what i was looking for.doing paper work and driving away in my chevy.great people working with me i would recommenf everyone to deal with thomas chevrolet in Bedford.pa.i give them highest rating.
The Thomas team treated us right from the time we purchased our trucks to their first oil changes. Our sales associate, Jason Riggleman, is fantastic to work with and never looks at his customers as a sale, he is a pleasure to work with and treats his customer like friends.
Employees always make a difference and thats what you get at Thomas a team of employees who go above and beyond every time no matter which department youre dealing with. Our experience with Thomas started with our salesman Jason Riggleman whom I would highly recommend to all friends and family.
The folks at Thomas Chevrolet are REAL people! No pressure and ready to help before and after the sale. Don, Rick and Chris have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure all my needs are met.Bought a 2016 Z71 deep ocean blue, beautiful truck. It has issues from the factory that need addressed, they stepped up to the plate and are going to fix any issues with no inconvenience to me.My only issue is Chevrolet has out sourced their products. Unfortunately my truck was built in Mexico, what a terrible job of assembly they preformed in their Mexico plant.Again thanks to Thomas they will correct the problems, and I will have the truck I know Chevrolet is capable of producing.
My new 2016 Buick Encore was serviced immediately and the service rep reviewed with me in detail exactly what was done and hoped that I would enjoy my new Buick and call him any time if I had any service need and have a great day --- could not have been a better service visit keep up the good work its great to have you in our community.
I think the price of an oil change there is totally outrageous $61 and change,, they charged almost $6 for a quart of oil that I can buy at Walmart for less than $2.80 a guart,, Im not complaining about the labor or their service that is all great wonderful people to work with but to charge you $30 for 5 quarts of oil thats double Dippin I think so,,
We were traveling from Indiana to Delaware and ran into issues with our 3500 Silverado. A few of their employees jumped in to help regen and check the truck to get us back on the road within an hour. We live in Kentucky and when we need to buy our next vehicle well drive to PA. Its not often you find people and companies to help you in a time of need. Thats what this world needs more of. Thank you to those that helped us.

2022-05-07We purchased a Traverse from a Thomas Chevrolet in 2019, lifetime free state inspections are included. We needed a repair to pass inspection. They have a comfortable lounge area and provide coffee and snacks to customers waiting on their vehicle.Morgan, the service advisor, worked well with us to redeem GM card earnings for service costs.Thomas Chevrolet employees have always made us feel like valued customers.

2022-02-23Very expensive for repairs, no doubt, BUT you KNOW beyond the shadow of a doubt that things are fixed and fixed RIGHT! Service is impeccable. They needed to keep the car overnight and provided us with a loaner at no cost with no restrictions...VERY nice as we live out of town. Overall, I would return.

2022-05-21Brianna was top notch, very pleasant and knowledgeable. However, the companys process to take a vehicle out for a test drive is kinda idiotic. Why do I uave to answer a survey before taking a car out? What does it matter what I liked and disliked most about my previous car? Get my license and/or insurance and lets move this along. I did not buy a car that day.

2022-06-06My husband and I bought 2 brand new vehicles within a year. The first was a 2019 Silverado. About 6 weeks ago, we had someone look at it to get an estimate on a couple dents and scratches. All but one mark, was hit by someone else. When the man at the body shop looked at it, he noticed the clear coat was bubbling and coming off, along with some rust around the bedliner. I contacted Thomas and was told the rust would be covered, but not the Clear coat. That makes no sense. I contacted someone there twice, asking who, higher up, I could speak to, but no response.I contacted Chevy directly. They got the ball rolling. Husband took it out for them to look at it and take pictures. It was 3 weeks, after that, and no answer on what they were going to do. Finally hav e an appointment to take it to fix it. Spoke to someone today and this person told me what was being taken care of according to the estimate. Wait a minute...so, they arent painting and clear coating the entire truck? Then its pointless! We want a copy of the estimate before they even touch it!Now, to the Trailblazer. I bought the approximate $600 warranty on dings, dents and scratches. Afew months after I bought it, some nice person scratched it up. I took it out for them to look at it and I was told it wasnt covered. I was told to get touch up paint. Ummm...no! I canceled the warranty and it was pro-rated, so I got most of my money back. You spend about 60k on 2 vehicles and this is what you get?If they dont make it right with the truck, I will contact the Better Business Bureau. Im done getting the run around and will not accept anything less than a complete paint job and clear coating. Also, the bedliner needs removed before any painting begins!Oh, almost forgot. When we bought the truck, we werent married yet. They put both our names on the vehicle. A few days later, we had to go back our to change the registration. They tried to charge us AGAIN for about $115 to do so. I spoke up. Was not our mistake. After asking to speak to someone else or have it changed without charging us again, he did with hesitation!Weve been nothing but nice and kind and understanding, but now pushed to our limits.I hope others have better experiences than we have had!

2022-05-04After fighting for a little over a month to get a warranty issue fixed, they did finally fix it, then about a month later I take the car to a different garage to get an annual inspection done, the mechanic discovers that the nut on the bottom of the tierods are not there, not just loose but completely missing the tie rod just flopped out on both the driver side and passenger side, tierods usually have to be beat out even after the nut is removed bc they are tapered so the nuts were never reinstalled after they did the warranty repair,

2022-06-20Went for oil change, was in and out in 45 minutes. Staff was excellent and professional. They rotated tires and washed my truck all in that time. My service adviso Morgan was excellent, I will go back again. Talked to sales rep about extended warranty, was fast, fair and explained everything.

2022-01-11Our company truck broke down on the turnpike 3 hours from our office. It was a brand new chevy truck with less than 1500 miles on it. We called the dealership, gave them the details of the truck and issue and asked if they could service the truck. We got the tow truck to tow us to the dealer. After seeing our truck they reported that they couldnt work on it. Not only couldnt they work on it, they wouldnt even let us put the truck on their lot until Chevy Roadside Assistance could find someplace to take it to to be fixed. Glad this is not the norm for Chevy!!!!
