We only ever come as a group and we go upstairs; been here three time now. I always order an omelet and Ive never had a complaint, my wife and a friend of ours had pancakes and they said they werent anything to write home about. Portions and price are ok, wait staff is friendly and attentive. Its a good place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The waitresses here are friendly and old school.The 1/2 rack ribs with soup or salad and 2 sides for $14 is a great entree if you are hungry.I ordered broiled haddock with salad, broccoli and homemade mashed . . . . Just right for $11.The prices are reasonable for the plate you order and the food presents fresh and filling for the prices.There is an ice cream shop next door for an extra treat and a car show in their parking lot Saturdays from 7pm to 9pm with live bands on occasion.
This is one of our familys favorite places for breakfasts. The selection is great, prices are too. The service is great. Bring your appetite, but youll still likely leave with a to go container
It was great service and great food. I believe i ordered sausage with my breakfast and they gave me bacon. Im not one to complain but i was really hoping to try the sausage. Thats the only complaint i got. It was pretty busy and i get it things happen.
This place is our home away from home! We eat here regularly at least once a week. We’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Despite some of the past reviews, a lot of the food is homemade! It is family and community oriented so if this is not your thing, don’t go back. It’s very nice to see Americans working in the back and not a bunch of illegals like most restaurants now a days! Don’t change the Fox News channel. It’s better than the communist news network(CNN). The post about the corn is so far from the truth. That comes from a farm in the area and is complimentary with your meal! Who does that today? Their prices are perfect and you do get quite a big portion of food. Yes every business has their ups and downs once in awhile but all the negative reviews are just not the truth and those people don’t belong there anyway!
Very excellent service MJ is one of the most amazing waitresses they have there. Shes always friendly and always busy, her time management from table to table amazes me. The food is always hot and made just as ordered, and all the girls do an amazing job at keeping it clean!!! If I were you i would request MJ to be your server cant beat service like that from such an amazing upbeat happy server!!!
We stop there for our dinner dates. We have become regulars. The service is always welcoming. Bathrooms are clean. My son liked the painted rocks. Great art work.
Typical diner type food. Open dining floor plan. Older women serving. They did seem very nonchalant about approaching our table. But when one woman finally asked if wewere taken care of she said okay Ill takes yas if they dont want to. Not sure how to take that. The others enjoyed their food. My soup was cold and it was not homemade, it was canned. Disappointing for sure.
Had family in from Lancaster and maplewood New Jersey. We were having a discussion in. The back room when Donna the hostess came back and demanded us to leave as she had other customers waiting for tables. This is the third time this has happened to our family finding it hard to come back to this establishment as we are dedicated customers we must not be good enough customers after speaking with the owner today we have come to a mutual understanding
So we took my daughter out to dinner for her birthday. As we walked in to the restaurant and were kindly seated, we walked towards the table and the waitress for that section walked towards us and past us as she very loudly said Im not taking it. Im going to go cut myself. Referring to the fact that she did not want to wait on yet another table. It wasnt like we were out late. It was between 630 and 7:00 p.m.. How absolutely rude that was and did not make for a very pleasant birthday dinner. We sat at the table where my daughter said that maybe we should get up and leave because we certainly did not want her as our waitress. We considered it but fortunately another woman came and waited on our table. We had no problem with her - she was very pleasant. But the experience did not set our night off on a positive note when it was supposed to be a happy and celebratory meal. I managed restaurants for 12 years and had I been the manager there at that particular moment, that waitress definitely would not have waited on this table. She actually would never have waited on another table ever again in the restaurant. She would find herself a customer instead of an employee. I am absolutely disgusted and if it had not been my daughters birthday I would have made an absolute scene and embarrassed the heck out of her. I dont care what is going on in your life or your work or whatever. You never exhibit that kind of disrespect in front of customers. That said, the food was good. But the experience took awsy ftom it...

Very busy all the time which makes service not as personable. I had the chips and homemade guacamole. The chips were good and fresh but the guacamole was sour, tasted like it was made with too much lemon or lime.
Went for dinner at the the Trolly. I had the Gyro and it was delecious. Service was fast and our server offered suggestions to the menu. We sat in a booth and my seat was ripped and terribly worn. I would hope that gets fixed quickly. I was satisfied and will go back.
I should have listened to the reviews here and elsewhere. My experience was very disappointing. I asked my waitress if the Catch of the Day was fresh, she said yes. Turns out the so-called fresh fish amongst many of the other items on the menu are Frozen. I expect catch of the day fish to be fresh. Not some frozen fish stick fillet. I definitly give this place a huge thumbs down.

This was the hot spot in town, having entered at around noon on a Sunday. Seemed like a lot of locals were there after church. The food was ok. Dont know how you can make an ear of corn taste bland, but everyone in my party of 7 left theirs. Our waitress seemed frazzled but still had time to chit chat with her coworkers. I didnt get something I ordered. One person almost finished his fish before he got the tartar sauce, which was pre packaged. Again, food was ok. Diner food. Specials were proportionately small in my opinion but worth the price paid. Saving grace was the icecream shoppe right next door(same owners) Made up for what lacked in the restaurant.

Horrible! Mushroom Swiss Burger, dry, canned mushrooms & tasteless! Bun was 2x bigger than the burger! The chips on the plate taste like a paper bag! Hubby got omlette and home fries, omlette was small & flat! Service was less than mediocre, sat 10 minutes with no waitress. The hostess finally came over and asked if we got drinks yet. The good: hash browns were on the better side of ok. We eat out ALL the time, this was a once & done!

My husband and I like breakfast food any time of day, and its definitely a go to at the Trolley Shops. From the breakfast special to fried egg, cheese and pork roll on a kaiser roll. All are delicious.
Delicious eggs Benedict, good service and reasonably priced. Oh the eggs were poached beautifully. The only bad part the tv was on Fox News therefore I must remove a star. I prefer neutral tv like sports or something.

Horrible. No food on the plate. Bad service. We sat there for 5 minutes and had no coffee service. The staff were young and busy talking with their friends that came in. Then another 5 minutes. Will never go again.

We went to the Trolley Shop to get a cup of coffee, ended up having dinner the food was good and filling our waitress was very polite and attentative everything was clean.

Went there on Friday night was seated and forgot about when we left spoke to a lady she said she didnt see us but took the drink order from the next table ,waitress seen us said she would be right back waited ten minutes never came back took other orders from people who were seated after us ,very disorganized bad service never going back

2021-10-07The Trolley Shops Restaurant was on the way back from a trip to PA. The food was amazing and the trolley memorabilia on the walls was pretty interesting. The Pork Roll was very good and pretty different. Its a quaint little place that I would definitely recommend if you are nearby and want a great breakfast for short money.

2022-06-29Went there for the first time June 12th.2022 & it was great! Our server was the best weve had in a long time. Even though they were getting ready to close they treated us as if theyd just opened. It was my sweeties birthday & our waitress took the time & made him a cute little birthday sign out of napkins!😊 Yes he saved it 😉 Definitely going back & have told everyone we know! Thanks for a great time!! Oh & the prices are great as well!!

2022-05-30Absolutely loved this place. The photos of Bangor, Pen Argle, Easton, and Bethlehem hanging on walls. Perhaps other slate belt areas too.The breakfast food and service was great. But the atmosphere is just super homey and inviting.
