I recently placed a loved one in the Tucker House for services, and was amazed with Ms. Stephanie Lambert. She is the Director of Social Services. Ms. Lambert is very knowledgeable at what she does. She enlighten me with many resources that the Tucker House has such as; providing me with the waiver service program, connected me on the phone with the physical therapist to discuss my concerns, went over the discharging process, and even told me that I could FaceTime my loved one. She is definitely on top of her game! She is compassionate, caring, and helpful. I appreciate her guidance throw this journey with caring for my loved one. The Tucker House is blessed to have her!
They are very kind and polite they always keep me notified about any changes. They invite me to come out to have a visit with my love one. I actually appreciate the staff for taking time out of their busy schedule to inform me of doctors appointments activities daily day-to-day routines. Thank you too Kimille Kinsey, Melissa Evans, Daniel Hood and so many more staff members who’s names escapes my memory.
I like to say that the Physical Therapy department did a wonderful job. Nursing also did a great job. Social Service did a great job in discharge planning process. Food can be better. I truly enjoyed my time at Tucker House.I would recommend Tucker House to family and friends
I’m recommended this place to people need recovery therapy everybody working good. My therapist is good, nursing working good the food is wonderful you know I sure recommended tucker house nursing & rehabilitation center to patient need help for you recovery. Art Ivan Colon. The social workers is very good persons everybody working very good. It’s the first time inside that facility but I love because people is very professional that right I recommended to every patient needs rehabilitation nursing home care them the areas for your therapy and the professionals people working there I love. God bless everyone working in Tucker house nursing & rehabilitation.
A very close friend of mine recently had a hip replacement and sadly infection set in. He was back in the hospital to clear out the infection. Of course, the new hip had to come out and a spacer was put in place. He was sent to the Tucker rehabilitation center and that is when the horrors began. He wore the gown for a week that he came from the hospital in needless to say he was not washed up, he was given his meals at irregular times, he was given his prescription medication late in the afternoon instead of the morning. I could continue with the inhumane treatment but I believe that you can draw your own conclusions. He needed assistance since he had a spacer instead of the hip (new surgery in December). He told the administrator that he wanted to leave but they in fact held my friend hostage in my opinion. They only agreed to release him when the hospital said that they would not pay and would inform the insurance not to pay as well. Please do not send your love ones to this facility.
Stephanie Lambert is so wonderful and thorough. She helped me every step of the way with my grandmother from admission to discharge planning process. Her explanation of services is A+. She made sure we had all meds, all clothing was labeled and secured , medical equipment was prompt service , home care plans and coordination was done immediately. Great job great staff member.
OMG, The only good thing I can say about Tucker House is your receptionist, whos very professional and pleasant. I had a friend who was there a couple of years ago, when I called to check on her, they couldnt find her paperwork that she had been admitted there. When I finally talked to her, she was so overly medicated! Ive heard nothing but complaints about everything. I saw first hand this year, after visiting a friend. The place is dirty, smells of urine, most of your staff, very unprofessional, short staffed, where are the nurses? Patients left unattended for long periods of time. Patient menus are ridiculous. The worst Rehab Center in the City of Philadelphia!!
If you dont stay on the staff, they dont care. Most of the CNAs and nurses were really nice. If you are in there for physical therapy or other temporary assistance, make sure they are doing the right thing or report it to your medical insurance. The medication was not administer on time until I raised hell. I visited much worse than Tucker house. None of these nursing homes are good.
Awful. First off, they weighed me on a sling scale that bent me in half and I had a spinal fusion “NO BENDING” 4 patients share one bathroom. I got a UTI. Equipment was poorly maintained. Batteries were always low; floors had to share BP and temp devices. Once my temp was two degrees lower when I had a fever. Staff is not professional. Many staff don’t announce themselves when they enter your room and don’t seem to care. Where’s a badge I can read?Never saw a doctor or NP during two week stay. Wound care staff didn’t notice pus in my wound? Ended up with wound infection and transfer back to hospital and two more surgeries to fix it and six weeks of IV antibiotics. 5 stars for PT and food: both Excellent. By the way, I’m an RN and can adequately regard what kind of care I receive.
Not the worst place I’ve ever worked but close to it. It’s your typical understaffed place where the nurses and aides are overworked because people always call out. It’s hard to give residents the attention they need because everyone’s so busy. A lot of the nurses are negative and miserable with bad attitudes and are very unhelpful. Most of the aides are good workers and pleasant. Some of the managers are too busy trying to be best friends with nurses, it’s like they’re scared of them or something. Not a place I’d work on a regular basis or put my loved ones in.
I worked at the Tucker house for a little over 2 years and let me tell you it was a whole entire mess. For starters the worst thing about working there is the fact that they barely have any staff and so they resort to REPEATED MANDATION of the nurses and aides as a way to keep the building staffed furthermore the DON is very nasty and overbearing and make the place an unbearable place to work. When Tucker house was owned by midatlantic things were far better but now that MIMA has taken over the supplies are very cheap and barely in stock the incontinent brief are a joke and the overall care is terrible. The pay rate is so low that no there is a high turnover and the building if full of agency to whom they pay more money rather than giving the money to in house staff. Oh and there have been several sighting along with evidence of bed bugs in patients rooms however the facility REFUSES to properly exterminate! The morale of this facility is low and ultimately the patients suffer. Keep your loved ones HOME if you can!
After being transferred from the hospital to Tucker House Rehab I am extremely disappointed. Im a NURSE of over 30 years. My medications are not given on time. Im very allergic to 90% of food and I spoke with the dietitian and filled out a list of good foods I can tolerate. I also took the weekly food menus and crossed out the foods I could not eat due to intolerance and allergies. That meant NOTHING. I was sent food I did not pre order off their food menus.Ive been here almost a week and have not been out of this bed. Yes both my legs broken. But there are wheelchairs, two high back chairs in my room.ITS BEYOND BELIEF AFTER OVERVIEWING MY ALLERGIC LIST THAT IM SENT FOOD TRAYS WITH 90%OF THE FOODS IM ALLERGIC /INTOLERANT TO.I do need to say they do have some beautiful spirited nurses aids and nurses that try to be of assistance. They are kind, educated and always have a smile on there face. The social worker is nowhere to be found as I requested to see her every day.A addition to my review. Again the nursing staff is kind and try their best to accommodate. The attention to detail with the front office and supervisors is lacking.I want to leave this review on a more positive note. The enviroment, smells, gardens outside and rooms are very well maintained.Thank you,LK.
My mother was a patient there and some of the nurses that work at the tucker house dont do there jobs right. Some of them need to be recertified again on how to care for a patient and there nasty attitudes need to stop. Dont get me wrong there are other staff members who do a damn good job. The food selection is the worst you would think all that money they are getting for housing patients they would do better. Sometimes I have to cook a home cook meal so my mom can eat right. When i do vist my mom and her room mate needs help from the other staff member they get so mean with them. When they call for help they procced to ask them why you ring the call button, what do you want now. Also when patients need help with anything sometimes the nurses disappear and cant be found for almost an hour.
They stole my grandma phone and she pass away from leak of care at the tucker house. She only was there for rehabilitation! I visit my grandma everyday she was only there for 1week and a few days, I witness with my own two eyes my grandma died in front of me, nothing was working from her Oxygen machine to the heating system in her room, when u ask questions the staff was so rude and nasty the way they treated my family and I was so unprofessional!!
My Aunt is at Tucker House and I see that the staff seemed friendly but they are neglectful to the elderly. Patients ask for water which they dont get also the medication is not given on time, they lose medications, patients are late to doctors appointments.YOU CAN DO BETTER
This is the worst place on earth. My mother was there for about 2 weeks, I was with her every single day. I saw how the staff dont care about our seniors. They left them all day sitting on the willchairs on the hallways. The day my mother died I notice something was wrong as soon as i got there, at 8:00a I called the nurse, many many times. She showed up at 2:30p because i screamed that my mom couldnt breath. They had to call the paramedics. Sadly she died at the hospital at 4:18p that day. Do not take your love one to this place they dont CARE
I talked with the staff at the tucker nursing house this morning , the social worker director, nursing, activities, dietary, each and everyone of them were very polite, straight to the point , professional, from my point of view I will recommend them to a friend I give them all 10 plus 5 across the board
So far my mom has been here for 3 days and she is begging me to take her home.Today she was ringing the nurses button for over an hour and they didnt come so she took it upon herself to try to get to the bathroom on her own. She has a cast on from her ankle to her knee , because she cant stand on the foot with cast she fell down and layed on the floor for about a half an hour. Her roomate who also cant walk on her own started hitting the nurse button and screaming for a nurse to come. It took them 30 minutes, a manager who was on the floor was the one who found my mom he started screaming at the nurses and afterwards took pictures of my mom on the floor before anybody picked her up.
The worst place ever. Worked there as a CNA. Extremely short staff. Working with 2-3 care nurses. You can’t find no help. Everybody walking around with attitude. It’s also bed bug infested, when reported they did nothing to exterminat them. They cut cost on everything to save money. They are trifling. The place need to be shut down. Don’t put your love ones here!!! Stay away!
My husband been in Tucker House alittle over a week.. He never gets his pain medicine on time..m twice now they said they gave it to him and never got medicine... So I been wondering if someone on staff is taking the pain meds..Pt and wound care o n ly thing at this place that is five star
I just got paralyzed from my chest down and the way a see every nursing home is the same they go to school for aids or nursing license and after they start working on the real deal they regret get they license to work whit older or paralyzed pasient I feel sorry for them
When we arrived we were not revived for instructions. They did not give adequate support to the patient. Their food was for two days. They all tell us different codas. And the old people for hoursSitting in their wheelchairs unable to move, and the pessimistic staff, the agus with whichThey mixed the milk to feed the pen era. It was not distilled. We complained and they said if there is not one there is the other. I warn you, take your old man out of there.

2022-08-08My mom is in here because she got into an accident and she got out of the hospital on Saturday and since then the caregivers have been doing and amazing job at taking care of her. The nurses are going to teach her how to teach her how walk because in the accident she broke her legs but now she is feeling a bit better. I am really happy about this place. I know the nurses are taking good care of her. And she feels comfortable in here. Thank you to nurses for doing a great job. 👍🏻🏥⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😌

2022-07-18By far this is theeeeeeeee best nursing home I’ve seen in a long time! I travel to many different facilities and the care here exceeds the expectations of any nursing home I’ve ever visited ! Hearing from many patients ,staff and family ; they are more than satisfied with the facility overall ! Let’s start with the face of the facility ; The new Administrator Meir leaves an open door and comfort zone for families and residents. He is extremely professional , friendly , approachable and he puts the residents’ needs first! His staff here appear to be more than satisfied with him. With new administration in place, you can see the clean “up-keep” of the facility as well as the appearance of the residents and just the environment overall. The residents really seem to feel at home and the families of the residents feel like it’s their home too when they visit. Staff are extremely friendly and they feel appreciated . You can just tell everyone is getting the job done!! I love a nursing facility where it’s not a crime to have a concern or just a facility where you can see the strenuous efforts of everyone’s individual needs being met. Trust when I say this is trusting and comfortable community for residents, staff and family ! Great job Tucker House ! I look forward to visiting again!

2022-07-20Had a very pleasant experience at Tucker house! My grandmother was there after she had a fall and fractured her elbow and hip. The physical therapists and occupational therapists did a phenomenal job getting her back on her feet and back to her baseline. Everyone that i interacted with was so pleasant from the administrator to the social workers, I would highly recommend!

2021-10-05Tucker Is one of the better nursing facilities. The courtyard grounds are beautiful and a great place to be able to visit with loved ones. The housekeeping director is amazing, keeps things clean and listens to your need. The Administrator actually cares and listens to you. I feel like she wants the best for your loved ones. Tucker is a good choice.

Our mother is where she needs to be - in Tuckers loving care! From Melissas personal touch when providing assistance to Danielles meticulous dedication to Moms dietary needs - Tucker House has got it going on!! Mom loves it there 🙂❤Never have I seen a facility show as much sincere concern for the welfare of my Mother. The entire staff made the decision to transition Mom from rehab there at Tucker to long term care EASY.We want to thank all of Tucker House staff for their hard work and dedication to ensuring a family feeling for Mom. We appreciate you Camille, Charmaine, Dorothy, Stephanie L., Keisha G., Shawanna and others - you all deserve kudos for your sincere commitment to making the elderly feel at home and informing family members regularly. 2021-10-10Update: Oct. 10, 2021Unfortunately my experience with Tucker House continue to decline until his death. My father who passed a few weeks ago, never was groomed after being there 3 months. I repeatedly requested and it took him to pass in order to receive a haircut and shave by the funeral home. Totally unacceptable. When he arrived there was no intake sheet stating clothing items he came with. After complaining a few items appeared. Some new items purchased that was not present at death disappeared. Inconsistent communication. Most of the time care conference calls you would receive a call as it was starting, no notice. No concrete explanation concerning hip fracture that he didnt come with.Therapy provided limited information, and family wasnt included in treatment planning after intial evaluation. Agency staff or barely staff at times. Staff walking around without face mask. I could go on and on. I just hope that it improves as people trust the staff and facility with their loved ones. The highlight was the front desk staff James, social services, dietician and activities staff. Advocate for your family is all I can say. 🙏 Tucker House should include residents past and present on the board or form a Resident Council. It would include staff, residents and family to improve day to day services. #Quality of Care MattersUpdate: Initial conversation with the team was great. Social services, unit manager and Dietician were very knowledgeable of services and the type of care that would be provided to my father. Admissions was excellent as provided an overview of the process from short term to long term care if needed. Due to recent events my opinion is beginning to shift. Be sure to remain present and ask the tough questions concerning quality of care and any incidents.

2021-03-24I currently have a family member at the Tucker House receiving care. This is his second stay here and the staff and care he receives is wonderful. The contact is great in reference to care from the social workers, activities, nursing staff and dieticians. Just wanted to personally thank Stephanie, Martin, Danielle and Charlene. I feel more at ease.
