The Grant Ave location for UBREAKIFIX in 19115 is nothing short of exemplary. The gentlemen who assisted at this location were Q. Byrd and Vershaw. Not only did I witness them give solutions to other customers pertaining to their specific needs but, they were professional kind and willing to go above and beyond. Even up until the point of closing. Regardless of what phone service you have, electronics (games, computers, tvs, external hard drives, controllers), laptops this should be your go to spot. These guys helped me within a hour and a half and my screen was fixed. These guys have solutions and answers, and clever ideas to help ypu with your issue. Dont hesitate.
If I could give out negative stars I would! I Waited damn near 4 hours to get only a battery replacement. Only after paying $118 and I’m fully insured by AT&T, the dude at the counter was polite and all but this experience was terrible it was an upsell gone wrong it started with only a screen repair $29 Insurence claim. I would not recommend this place for business and I will not do business here ever again!
I have only one positive thing to say about my experience here: they fixed the screen properly. Thats it. Everything else about my experience was aweful.The management is taking on more business than they have staffing for and not properly notifying customers of delays. I found this out the hard way. I booked a 3PM Saturday appointment on their website the day before expecting that I would take an Uber from my apartment then wait an hour for work to be completed and take the bus home. I wound up taking an Uber and arriving a half hour early then being told that they were extremely busy and I might get it back around 5.I walked around the area to kill time and arrived back at 5 only to be told that not only had work not been started, but that it wouldnt be started until Monday. I couldnt get a bus home so I had to get an Uber home and was out of luck with my phone. Going back meant that I needed to get a Zipcar so that I wouldnt waste as much time and money, but that still meant $20 and another hour and a half of my life occupied by their failure to do this repair when it was originally scheduled.To sum it up: I spent more than $60 in transportation costs, 4 hours of wasted time, and days without the cellphone under repair because these folks decided that they werent interested in letting me know that they couldnt make time for the repair that I originally scheduled on their website more than a day in advance.To the management: if all youre going to do is reply with an oops sorry about that then dont bother because thatll just be more of my time that you have wasted.
Absolutely dismal. After being sent specifically here by Samsung customer service. I drive 48 minutes to be told Samsungs diagnostics are down we cant do anything, and upon asking where else I could possibly remedy this Im told everywhere else is also down. When I asked further is there any word on when theyll be back online? I was shut down and told until further notice not gonna deal with this.Cant even have them sign of nor confirm there was an issue so I could just process my repair. ABYSMAL....
I was disappointed that I had to leave my phone and pick it up the next day when they advertise WHILE YOU WAIT SERVICE all over their store!!! Extra time and extra gasoline! Also, the tech tried convincing me that the problem resulted from a recent update after I told him that I received the phone 3 months ago in that condition. I said I thought that the motherboard needed to be replaced and then he agreed with me. Also, someone put my phone number on someone elses account and it took me 30 minutes to straighten it out with Samsung! So I was not overly impressed.
I went into the store on Grant Avenue because of a cracked screen on my pixel 4a. The repair part was not in stock and Tim was extremely helpful offering me other suggestions to remedy my problem. He went above and beyond going on line finding me an alternative option. He was very understanding and courteous. I would recommend this store to others.
Got my Note20 ultra fixed from this location and highly recommend it, as while they are busy they get the job done with professionalism and quality. (see detailed experience below)FYI/Watch out: While the location and people are awesome dont make an appointment online for mobile at home service thru the HQ website as the hq charged me $30, Noone ever showed up and I am trying to still get my $30 back.Detailed Experience:I worked with both Matt (Manager) and Theresa and blthey were amazing even though the location was short staffed. I went in on a Saturday and they were slammed, due to shortage of staff, the manager was telling people like me who didnt have an appointment they could go to the other location or make am appointment. He even went above and beyond to call the other location. I opted to make an appointment. I brought my phone in at the appointment time and they fixed it same day. When I got home I noticed my spen wasnt working, so next day I went in and they fixed the issue (defective screen from Samsung). While it was inconvenient n to go in again the process was super quick and they were very nice.
This place is great!Made an appointment with Samsung to come here to fix my dead screen for my ultra 20 note plus.Pedro was able to get my entire phone screen replaced with a brand new screen the same day with no issues.Cost is fair and it is deff worth it for a phone that is pretty expensive as is.
Absolute waste of time. The store staff at Grant werent the issue, it was the call center people who schedule the appointment. Theres clearly no communication between the actual location where you take your phone and the people at the call center who schedule your appointment when you call the number from Google. I went through securing an appointment, going over my phones make and model and the damage that was there, confirming a time and place to take the phone for repairs and when I get to the store the staff there inform me that they wont be able to have it fixed that day, and that they do not even work on motoral phones. Extremely frustrating and totally avoidable.
Need a zero stars option. God help you if you need to get your phone fixed by this company. Horrible experience with them and Asurion. my phone was insured i filed my claim for a screen repair, went to the store and their system was down They told me to come back Monday. Call back Monday guess what theyre closed on Mondays. so instead I set up an appt to come to my house no one shows up after 3 hours. Another hour on the phone find out that they no longer do home appts yet they let me schedule it, got rebooked back to the store next day 11am. good thing I called and checked the hours bc they actually dont open till noon. 6 other upset customers waiting for them outside when they opened, the whole time they told me it would take 2 hrs for the fix, at the store now they say its 4 hrs, then they tried to charge me over $200 bc their system cant see the insurance claim, had to stay at the store for 2 hours on phone with asurion and them. all this for a cracked screen repair.. Oh and I checked my account today they charged me twice to be continued...
Absolutely phenomenal service in every way, shape, and form. Went there because my phone wouldnt charge, thinking Id have to pay an arm and a leg for a new iPhone battery. Nope! All I needed was to have the charger port cleaned. They even replaced my volume button! All of that, free of charge. Good, kind people here. Theyre the only place Ill go to now with any phone trouble. Thank You Guys!!!
FAST Professional Pedro and Craig are pretty funny they dont fix my Motorola edge but I guess all it needed was a soft reset ? My screen unfroze fast friendly service even the store manager came out and said hi I really liked her I will be back with my sons phone he loves Iphones they seemed very knowledgeable Craig even gave us options on a repair on the Iphone 4 how long has this store been here? Great experience!
I went here for the first time when my phone wasnt charging correctly. The repair guy took a look at it right away. It turns out, all it needed was a cleaning in the port where the charger cable goes! He did that very quickly, and showed me how the connection now clicks in very solid. And didnt charge me anything for it! This is a great place, and I will come back again if I ever have the need to get anything fixed. I recommend you go here too
Great experience!!! We all been there. Dropped my phone and broke my screen. Ubreakifix took me in right away and was the right choice to get my phone fixed. Less than 2 hours later I got my phone back fixed and it looks and feels brand new after their repair. They were informative and kept on schedule and told me everything I needed to know up front so I could plan my day and there werent any surprises. The employee that worked with me was very professional and helpful, which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend to anybody needing their phone fixed and want to be sure it is done right!
I went to the website and set up an appointment for 2pm, I get a confirmation the day of in the morning making sure I can make my appointment at 2pm. I get to the store 20 minutes early waiting line cuz it was a long line, Ill let the employee know my appointment was for 2pm she tells me we wont be able to look or repair your phone until Tuesday what was the point of the appointment if you cant look at my phone and fix it until the following week, then she asks me what phone do you have I let her know this model the phone or we cant fix that phone here anyway whats your website said you could fix it waste of time thanks for nothing
I had the absolute worst experience EVER! I took my phone to this location to repair a cracked screen. The STORE MANAGER was the one working on my IPhone X. He said he made a mistake by not checking to see if my phone was updated and if he would return my phone I’d lose all my information. He informed me that he’d have to keep it overnight to repair. Even though I was extremely frustrated I proceeded to leave my phone with this man. The next day I picked my phone up with a repaired screen and all of my information restored. But to my surprise later the day I had a black screen which has never happened. I was unable to see anything on my screen but could feel it vibrating when I received notifications. I took my phone back to the location this would be my 3 third time driving inconveniently 30 minutes ! I knew at this point he damaged the motherboard but because that is not my speciality I still had a little hope that he would be able to resolve the issue that he caused! To my surprise I was told there was nothing he could do even after continually apologizing and admitted the location was at fault for this damage! Thankfully asurion resolved my issues and expedited a new phone to me immediately! I wanted to be sure to list in detail of my experience because this should have NEVER happened!
My husband took his Samsung Note Ultra 20 to this location at 10:00 A.M. on 7/17/2021 (Saturday). He was told by the Store Manager that he would have his phone back before 4:00 P.M. on 7/17/2021 because he was trying to get out of work early. Since my husband did not have a cellphone, he provided the Store Manager with my phone number to contact when the crack screen was repaired on his cellphone. I carried around my cellphone everywhere I went waiting for his call. The Store Manager never called. My husband took a trip up to the store today (7/18/20201) to pick up his phone and there was a note on the door that stated Effective 7/18/2021, the store will be closed on Sundays. The Store Manager never gave the courtesy to contact my husband to tell him as such. Now my husband has to wait to pick up his phone on Tuesday July 20, 2021. He needs his phone for work. I think it is unprofessional for the Store Manager to tell him that his phone would be ready before 4:00 P.M. and not give him a call to tell him that the store was closed on Sunday which is different from the hours that is posted on his front door. If I were you, Id stay far away from this retail store. My husband chose them because this is the choice that Verizon gave him. Good Luck if you do before there is no courtesy or professionalism. I would not recommend anyone to go to this store.
The staff was courteous and professional on the phone and in person.We had to drive approx 45 mins to the location for repair. We would definitely do again if needed.I recommend anyone to get repairs to their phones at Ubreakifix especially the Grant Ave location in Phila
Previously had great service here. I made an appointment via the SAMSUNG site to have my phone fixed on 08/01/21 at Noon. I arrive to find a printed sign in the window stating that as of 07/18/21, the store would be closed on Sundays and Mondays. As I did not have a phone readily available, I had to drive 45 min back to my house to look up an alternate locaton of the franchise. Please update your hours with SAMSUNG as you are listed as one of the few authorized repair services.
Not very professional. I waited several minutes for anybody to come out from the back room. The person who saw me finally told me to back up and hard reset my phone for a screen replacement. Then I waited another 15 minutes after I was done while, as far as I could tell, 3 employees hid in the back room. They were supposed to text me when the job was done. I did not receive a text. When I called 4 hours after they were supposed to be done they asked if I had received a text. I said that I had not. They told me it was probably not done yet. I told them it was promised at noon and it was now after 4. They checked and said that it was done.
Akeem and Pedro were phenomenal. Their professionalism and knowledge were second to none. They took their time when listening to my issue. I didn’t feel rushed or not important. Be careful in the parking lot but the ubreakifix team was great, service was great and the associates I dealt with directly were polite, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. 100% recommend ubreakifix to anyone with or without coverage on their device. Pricing cant be beat!!
I dropped off my mini iPad yesterday was told it will be $100 to fix the home button mind you they gave me the date of March 23 I said no problem I waited there for 35 minutes for me to get this information the receipt says fix screen and home button scrren not had to get fixed. Today I get a phone call telling me that they no longer fix iPad minis so I decided to call after I hung up the gentleman that spoke to me seems confused as a cartoon transfer me over to his manager which is a sweetheart until she tells me well we have another screen for your iPad mini why don’t need my screen fixed I need the home button fixed now she tells me well it doesn’t and it doesn’t compare to that or the guy is a trainee so he’s a trainee where was you the manager that you cannot stand on the floor and train him properly so my suggestion do not take any of y’all work to this place simple
Unfortunately, Samsung falsely claimed that there was water damage to my phone and wouldnt repair it under their 12month warranty. I took it to this ubreakifix and they found an issue with the SIM card tray. It is a manufacturer defect on 6 month old A11. Dont buy anything Samsung. Their warranty is worthless.
Good service... But they try hard to sell the Assurion digital protection package for all your home devices. I really wasnt feeling that.I got it in exchange for camera replacementI DIDNT KNOW I NEEDED UNTIL IB RETURNED TO PICK UP MY PHONESMH!Anyways IM CANCELLING THE SERVICE.
I dont live in philly now more and im down visting my family for the holiday. I unfortunately droped and smashed my cells glass front and back along with the actual screen aswell. Matt was able to get me in on a short notice to have it all fixed. I want to give the biggest thanks to Matt and Pedro. Awesome vibes from both and great exsperance. ✌
Akeem was extremely helpful and polite...on a busy day he was able to fix my Xbox one that had overheating issues...ever since the Xbox has been operating better and the loud noise it made was gone...strongly recommend everyone here....if I could give them 6 stars I would...thanks again guys god bless!

2022-03-11I was here for an Amazon trade in, although I have been here before because my husband got his phone screen fixed here. Yes there are other places that might be cheaper but this place is definitely reliable and most importantly, they are authorized service provider for many companies, including but not limited to Apple and Samsung for phone repairing.The associate that assisted me was very patient and friendly. He definitely shows me he knows what he’s doing and was able to inform what I needed to provide for a smooth trade in process.

2021-08-08Constant horrible experience. 🙃 Samsung said a replacement for my charging port was covered under warranty for a phone that I bought thats not even 3 months old yet. Gave me a ticket number and everything to get my phone serviced. I take my phone to the store and the store has to order new charging ports. So I have to come up here again. I finally have the time to get my phone to the store to get serviced and they replace my charging port. The only thing now is theyre trying to charge me $108 for something I was told covered under warranty. I told them Im not paying it and so he put the original part back in.It took them 4 hours to take the part out and replace it with a new one but, 10 minutes to reverse the whole process fuckikg up my phone in the process. My back glass is lifting off the metal sides of my s21 Ultra.Thank you for the constant disappointment over the years of getting my Samsung phones fixed here.

2022-06-14They set my appointment and told me they had the screen that I needed available. When I called the day before my appointment to verify they told me that they gave the last screen to another customer. So instead of taking my device to a local store and getting it back within a few hours I have to send it in to Samsung and itll be a few days before I get it back.

2022-04-26When you call all they want to do is setup an appointment. It took me 4 calls and over an hour to find out they cant even fix my phone. So they would have stolen the initial money to diagnose my phone when I told them the problem... Would give negative -5 stars if I could ..
