Worse post office ever. I’ve been waiting on my package since June,15.2020 only to receive a pink sorry we missed you slip on my door yet I was at home smh. I requested a redelivery 3 times and still nothing. I called consumer affairs but still no package. I decided to go to the post office to pick up my package I was in the line for over 2hrs that never seemed to move and it was a ton of people waiting on packages as well.. the wait was so long I had to leave without getting my package because I couldn’t bare standing in that line any longer And they only had one person working... Beware
Worst mail service I have ever experienced. Very unorganized, rude, slow moving and slow working resulting in lines of upwards 45 mins for 7 people to be in line. Tells you the package is there to be picked up yoj wait in line than told the package is with the carrier and will be delivered today. Than the package doesn’t get delivered.
The worst Post Office on the earth. I placed an order for my nephew thinking it would be safer to send to the post office for delivery. Turns out, thieves work within the P.O. and no one cares that it’s happening. But I will not be stopping with just this review. Everybody has a boss and I will be getting a refund of the item that has been charged through my credit card company. It’s shameful there are more negative reviews than good.
Always coming at whatever time they want to come. Mail missing and rude post office workers and mail people. How are THESE types of people employed but meanwhile people who actually would love their job would do a better job than the people they have working??? Thats why people hate usps now and seek alternatives.
Well again i really dont like this post office its the worst my package was suppose to come on the 25th by delivery never came then had the nerve to lie and say wasnt able to deliver package attempt failed but this was done at 7:26pm thats funny because i was on my front porch bbqing that very day. So unless he or she was invisable that person or driver never showed up thats why i prefer fedex,or DHL, UPS.controled delivery i just hope and pray amazon buys the post of please!!!!!
Today I had an issue with a package delivery. When I called the Post Office located at 2601 N 16th St, I spoke to Mr Pitts. He was professional and courteous. This office receives several negative ratings, that may be accurate. That is why I felt I had to take the time to commend the service I received from Mr Pitts. Kudos to Mr Pitts. Keep up the good work.
This Post Office has saved my life many times. It is the people that come in from all parts of the city that make it worst. They need to implement a rule that if you dont have a po box there, you should not go there. The post office is crowded from people that hold up lines with common sense questions and tracking errors due to other providers. We need to save this post office. The community needs to out the people that are no benefit to making it better. Being that this the only post office in the area, and with everything going on, please lets change the rules of the post office and start leaving packages on people doorsteps as it once was. the Post Office should be for people that have Post Office boxes. Not for stranger pickup.
Same complaints about packages as everyone else.On *two* separate occasions, they said they attempted delivery multiple times, but never have (because of covid, Im home, like, 20-24 hours a day). Theyve said my front door was inaccessible (UPS, Amazon, GrubHub, FedEx, and InstaCart have no issues), despite the fact that I GET MY REGULAR MAIL WITH NO PROBLEM.Even before covid, this place was terrible and slow with bad customer service. Now, the lines fill up the entire lobby - even *without* social distancing. And, given that I am high risk, I cant afford to be in that sistuation.*sigh*
As someone who used to work at the Post Office and also worked at carrier stations this one is the worst. First they put the mail in screen door slot when I had one for the door, so mail got wet when it rains. I was able to get this corrected. Then when it comes to package delivery not only don’t they attempt to deliver because each time they came I was home, but they leave the slips and even if you fill out slip for a redelivery, they ignore the slips which means you have to go to the station and there are always long lines no matter what time you go. While I understand the frustrations of the workers, you still have a job to do and should do it correctly and as best as possible.
I want to write a review about the mail carrier I had while living on Diamond Street. His name is Mike! He’s an older white guy with long blond hair. (I remember him telling me stories of how his wife tried to cut his hair on numerous occasions) But anyways. He not just a typical mail carrier! He goes above and beyond! I think it’s because he’s just an all around nice guy!My mail was always delivered on time when he was working! He is very polite, kind and courteous! These are all the things that everyone should inspire to be like. But his generosity goes above and beyond just a mail carrier.A couple of years ago ( this is just one of the things that stand out about him) my two younger daughter’s and my niece were coming home from school. They got out early because of a snow storm and the wind was very bad omg terrible winds and snow! Just picture that with a six, seven and eight year old walking home from school. The school was only across the street from my house so they didn’t have to walk far. But the wind and snow was just that bad! Me and my sister was in the house and I got a phone call from an unknown number. My children were cry hysterically. My youngest daughter has asthma. I have asthma. She couldn’t breathe the wind was so bad. While crossing the street the wind was blowing, snow falling them screaming. This mail carrier saw that, went and got them out the street, took them to the truck that was parked on the corner, called me to come and get them. My sister ran down there to get them because I have asthma and I would have been no help to them at all! Mr Mike didn’t have to do any of that! He could have been angry that he had to be out in that weather! No not him!Even before this, but definitely after this I always tried to show him how much I appreciated his service. Christmas card, cookies , gift cards, anything just to show my appreciation. But honestly nothing I can do will ever feel like it’s enough to repay him for all that he does. Not just for me but for the whole community! Thank you Mr mike for your service! You are greatly appreciated!
This post office location is always crowded and understaffed. The wait exceeds 15 mins every time I have to visit this location. I frequently have to visit this location because the carriers never deliver my packages. Ill receive an email indicating package not left, notice left with instructions for redelivery. LIES!!! I actually saw the carrier this weekend and asked if she had a package for me, she said no. Come Monday morning I receive an email stating package not left, notice left for redelivery instructions. The email indicated that a delivery attempt was made at 3:08pm, which is the same time I spoke to the carrier. And a notice wasnt left so I cant go to the post office to pick up my package. Im on the phone now with USPS. The automated system said my wait time would be 11-16 mins, well Im still waitin for someone to pick up the phone and Ive been waiting for over 30 mins. Now I wont say that the staff at the post office is rude, but they definitely dont have any umph in them to get the lines down. Theyre probably so overworked and tired since this location is always so busy. I wish UPS didnt pass my packages to USPS to be delivered because I wouldnt have this issue. Im praying that Amazons upcoming delivery services alleviates some of the delivery issues that Im having. 9 times out of 10, the carrier probably didnt even have my package on the truck, its just easier for them to keep having me come down to the post office to pick up my package. Just another government entity that has poor service... Lastly, 5 mins later Im still waiting for soneone to answer my call from USPS.
The reviews speak for themselves. How do these people have government jobs? Is this the best the US government can hire? Just like it seems every other complaint on here states --- they claim to attempt delivery but never do. Their drivers are too lazy to walk up to a door and ring the buzzer and rather just claim they attempted delivery. I called them to be greeted by a rude person who just tries to rush you off the phone after verifying your number youre calling from and then for dozens of calls in a span of an entire afternoon decide to ignore my calls. These employees need to be fired immediately and they need to start off fresh. They are not competent and arent willing enough to actually do their job for them to be earning any type of salary. With the amount of horrible reviews, does the city/state/government just not care?! NO WONDER POST OFFICE JOBS ARE ON THE DECLINE AND THEYRE GRADUALLY GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. WHO THE HELL WOULD WANT TO USE IT IF THIS IS THE SERVICE YOU GET?!
They dont even deserve 1 star, my package was suppose to be here Saturday. They claim they came at 7:45pm when I was standing on my porch at that time. Then had the nerve to say customer requested package be held at post office. Never got a slip saying they even tried to deliver my package, I would really like for them to stop playing games with me. I rescheduled for a delivery for the Monday and here it is still Sunday they saying once again I requested it be held at the post office. Yall not even open on Sundays how the hell does that even happen. I want my damn package!
Warning! They do not hold your package for 15 days. I ordered dog food through Amazon, but missed the delivery. I tried to have the package redelivered about 5 times, but the mailman never followed through and actually lied and said my mail receptacle was blocked the one time they did try to redeliver. They didnt even leave the missed delivery slip that time. I found out I missed the delivery through amazon, although I was home all day. The mailman didnt even knock or ring the bell or come close to the door at all. I know because my dog barks whenever anyone comes near the door.Then I went to go get the package directly from the post office and apparently it had already been sent back, although it is the 15th day and yesterday was a holiday and the post office was closed. I got there before they opened, so when did they send the package back? I sincerely believe the inadequate, uncaring postal worker couldnt find my package (has happened before) and decided to blame someone else. Thanks USPS for wasting an hour of my day. NOT!
Where is our mail??? We go weeks without mail, we have bills and important papers in the mail and it OK for a whole mail run to go undo for a week straight!! I called customer service. Its so bad they call me and tell me I wont get mail because nobody to deliver. Then get mad when you come to the office to get your mail. Sad and pitiful. I guess it OK people cant pay bills because we not getting our mail
A LOT of the sentiments about the lack of quality customer services have been shared + expressed by others. The reps tried, BUT, NOT with out our insistence that they check for the package + the options to proceed further. Ultimately, they found the package, there at the post office. They definitely can + need to do better.
Very slow, and seemily understaffed.I paid $30.00 to have a package shipped priority overnight to New York, package was not received until 2 days later. I tracked and called customer service to ensure there was no delays between Phila and New York and was told there was nothing. Next time Ill make the 2 hour trip to deliver it myself or go with the other carriers. However I was able to get a full refund.
Terrible. I ordered some small items from Amazon but noticed on the day of the scheduled delivery I hadnt received them. Checking the Amazon app I noticed the postal service marked the items as delivered and ready for consumer pick up days prior. Using a contact number in my order I explained the items were supposed to be delivered to my door but never arrived. I was told the postal service marked the items as undeliverable due to some kind of space or storage concern which sounds like total bs considering my items are small, packaged individually and could easily fit in a small bag not to mention a mail bag. Calling the location to see if I could talk to someone to delivery my package I was told the wait time would be 45 minutes to an hour. The automated system was absolutely no help.Unfortunately, it looks like Ill have no choice but to pick the items up myself. The location is in North Philly and Im familiar with it. Its ghetto, consumer service is terrible, too many employees are either lazy, incompetent or both and its a shining example of how not to run a business. If it is at all possible, avoid this hellish, lowlife place because no one in a position to fire the slackers seems to care to improve matters.
Would rate this place -5 if I could. They have lost every single package I have ever ordered (including $300 shoes they left on the wrong doorstep... Then denied it... Seriously?). They literally dont even attempt to ring the door bell... They dont leave a notice..... Then they put online that your package was delivered? Theyre pathetic. No one answers the phone.. NO ONE DOES THEIR JOB. Literally. Never ever trust this location with your package cause youre most likely never gonna see it.
If I could give this place a -5 that would be my start rating. This is not a post office, this place is a market. Long lines at all hours of the day... I have waited for 60 minutes and still eight people are ahead of me. The staff shows more interest on side conversations (by opening the wooden side door upper Windows, yet they have a tantrum if the glass windows is not closed before giving you the package) than doing their job. And it seems that the average waiting time to look for a package is 10-20 minutes. Staff comes back with no, we dont have your package.To add insult to injury, a woman is begging for change inside the building! And now she has moved outside to harass people as they walk in... And walk out.The staff seems not to be bother by this...but then again they dont seem to be bother by much.This place is hell. Awful service, horrible atmosphere and the place is in the worst location in Philadelphia. Close this office!
This post office is the worst in the city. Sometimes I dont get my mail until 8pm if I get it at all. They always lie about delivering your package when they never even brought it to your house. Theres only one reliable carrier from this office. Kudos to Dom. The only bright spot from this office.United States Postal Service. SHAME ON YOU!!!.
I havent received any mail or my package on Tuesday.no mail on Tuesday or Wednesday and I check the app to see if Im getting any mail so where is my mail and package that they claim try delivery my package but I do have a ring door camera no mail truck or mail person what is going on.
Consistently terrible attitudes of all employees mixed with poor administrative organization has made this service completely useless for me. Ive spent the past six years with a thriving business less than a mile away, needing to make weekly trips to this office for many shipments, never once having a simple or painless experience.Ive since decided to spend the extra time and money and effort to use a much further UPS service, where Ive had no problems.Its quite astonishing how one building can be such a breeding ground for grouches and sluggards.
Scum of the earth. They should all be fired. This would never stand in a suburban white neighborhood. Why even have a phone number if they never answer? Why have 3 windows when they barely use the one even with a line out the door screwing up parking for the whole neighborhood? Why deliver mail or even attempt when you can claim you left a notice or the mailbox was blocked and just send it back? The postal police needs to investigate these scum bags. Has to be the worst post office in the city. Im sorry if you live in this neighborhood and if youve rolled over and accepted this treatment but one visit to a post office out of the city and youll be shocked at how its supposed to be. Complain complain complain. Get their post master fired.
I would give them no stars if I could, because it is a government building nothing is going to change until I move! I’m thinking about getting a post office box downtown if I can. I never get my packages or they Wait days to scan them when they should be here already. You go up there and they are playing in the back or have flat disappeared. Leaving one person to do all the work! When they finally come out they act like you are bothering them. A post office job used to mean a lot. Now they hire anyone and you can see that with the lack of customer service you get! I have lived a few places in Philadelphia and they location is by far the worst!
Awful. Miserable. Who cares, its your Post Office. They get paid regardless. They wont answer the phone. They wont deliver your package. They wont be nice, they wont knock on your door if youre home, they wont leave a package if youre away. They wont look for it if its been rerouted there.If your package was routed to this office you should order another one and have it delivered elsewhere, this miserable Post Office does not care about you, about your mail, or about customer service.
The worst post office Ive ever seen/been to very unorganized. Never can go in & come out. They leave you standing and standing for looooong periods of time just to wait on you. Line is always outrageous. The tellers are also nasty at times. I dont like coming here but its the one assigned to my address.. Oh & the mail carrier stole my package too
This post office has to absorb responsibility for the letter carriers that are not doing their job. For example, my letter carrier does not attempt to deliver any packages. I work at home and am nearly always here so I am positive the there is no attempt to deliver my package. To make matters worse, I also receive no notification about delivery attempts. This means, packages do not get delivered and I sometimes dont even know that a package is waiting at the post office. SO, by the time I have to go to the PO on N 16th, I am already unhappy. THEN, there is always a line longer than the day with others who are there for the same reason. I could go on....Lousy USPS, you CANNOT COUNT ON DELIVERY and then the post office is not well equipped to handle the service needs of the area population. I APPRECIATE THE PATIENCE the employees show and also love getting to know my neighbors while waiting in line.
My aunt sent me a package that was marked undeliverable. I went to pick it up the next day at the post office and the rep said it was sent back. Its been a month and my aunt has yet to receive her package back. My mail carrier is a thief and the coworkers are in cahoots with them. They are hoping I give up but this is about principle. We put our trust in these mail carriers to take and bring us our mail. This is a total mis carraige of trust.
Somehow they lost, found, and lost my envelope again. I had a single letter delivered here because my last one somehow got lost in the Temple University post, and somehow I still ended up worse off coming here. I have been here for an hour waiting for them to both disappoint the rest of the customers in line an fail to find my mail. Most of the counter staff are brats and do not take questions well, one raising her voice at me multiple times for telling her I actually had my package shipped here on purpose. Believe the rest of the reviews and take your business absolutely anywhere else if possible.
I just can’t with them. Just moved to Brewerytown from South Philly, and the level of service in S Philly is so much better. They claim to deliver packages and then state we are not home (we were at that time). Never had a package delivered without having a problem. My issue is... why is service so much better in S Philly? I am paying the same federal taxes as I was in South Philly? Why is my service so much worse?
The post office is stealing mail and packages at 2601 16th Street, Philadelphia PA, 19132. My daughter has a dance to attend and her shoes were to be delivered 11/3. They went out at 10am and I waited for them all day and night. I sat at the door jumping up every time a car drove by, but to no avail. At 11:48 PM I received a notification that a notice was left at 19121 zip code. Then another at 11:56 PM stating that another notice was left at 19132 zip code. Each time I checked the door and there was no notice left. I went to this post office this morning and not only were they rude but they were not helpful or concerned at all. The clerk told me that they deliver mail until midnight and that the mail has been affected by the SEPTA strike. When I asked for the post master, I waited 20 minutes for the supervisor (after waiting in line for almost an hour). Meanwhile the roar of laughter billowed from the employees in the back. The supervisor told me that my package is out today but he doesnt know if it will actually be delivered today and that he couldnt guarantee it. Now my daughter will not have her shoes in time because the post office closes at 5pm and no one is allowed to pick it up because the address must match on the identification. The representatives at this post office have the most deplorable dispositions. It is a federal crime to tamper with mail. While I was in line 3 other ladies shared their horrifyingly similar experiences and one lady hadnt received her mail in over a week. She NEVER placed a hold on her mail! I also overhead a young lady crying because the same thing happened to her except they have no idea where her package could be. Another lady tracked her package online as well and saw that a notice was left although she hadnt ever received a notice. I ordered from Nordstrom and their items typically do NOT come via USPS and I recommend they NEVER use them again. I am deeply saddened as this was for a Daddy Daughter Dance. My daughters first. Her grandfather was extremely excited to escort her and enjoy the festivities. I dont have money to purchase another pair of shoes for her. The inconvenience is offensive but the disappointment on my daughters behalf is unconscionable. I dont know what type of scam is going on here but an investigation is warranted!And they never answer the phone.
They never deliver packages. They dont even leave the delivery slips so you have to check online to see if its at the post office. Then they wont even put it on the truck for redelivery unless you call corporate. I call USPS corporate about once a month to complain about this post office.They also cant even be bother to walk up the half of flight of stairs to deliver letters to the second apartment so I have to sort out my mail from my neighbors and give it to them which isnt that inconvienent but its their job to make sure the mail is delivered to the right place.
Had a package scheduled to be return to me... tracking shows it made it to the post office... no delivery attempts... package nowhere to be found. Filed a claim and the solution was next time get insurance. Sooo Im just burnt out of the value of the item. Why should it fall on me if package was scanned in at a post office.
Never enough help at the windows. There seems to be no order in the packages that were not delivered when you come to pick them up. People, like myself who have a problem standing for long lengths of time,often do not have a pleasant visit. There is much annoyance from the people waiting in line. Where is the manager when someone asks to see them? Very poor customer service.
I would give 0 stars if possible. On Saturdays usually 1 or 2 people working. They have no sense of urgency. They lose packages. The mail carriers claim they attempted delivery, however, I was home all day within 10 feet of front door. There was no doorbell ring or knock. You cant trust these people.
Im going to tell you like this I live around the corner from this post office and I dread the day I miss a package because I always have to call and they never answer!! So I have to tie my hair up throw on my sneakers and walk over there because Im always arguing with them there one time I almost fought a worker. Theyre disrespectful, and they are lazy , and they talk about everyone. The community is working on getting this post office shut down or getting a new person to take over ! Manager , owner who ever if you are seeing this it wont be too long before everyone there will be searching for a new occupation!
This is the worst service I received so far from the Post Office. Im currently standing in line for service since 12:15 pm. It is now 1:20 pm and Im the third person in the line and now the Manager took a worker off the counter. So now its just one person. Unbelievable. I have waited over an hour for service and I will never come back here again.
Horrible! I wish you could give 0 stars. I dont know how a company that the world depends on could be so horrible. They lie about delivering packages, and never leave missed packages receipts. They make up many excuses such as no one was home when there is ALWAYS someone in my house. Theyll even say my mail receptacle was blocked. And that right there is just bull. They dont hold packages the amount of days they are supposed to. Theyve sent packages back without giving me a chance to pick it up or have it sent out to me again. And other times where they dont leave a missed package slip so I dont even know its holding at the office waiting for me Until I find out my stuff was sent back to the shipper !!
On September 25, 2017 mail was delivered to our home at 730 p.m. Yes, 730 pm! We were expecting three packages as well so after hearing the mail hit the floor, we opened the door looking for the postman. No one was there. 20 minutes later I receive an email that they tried to deliver my packages and no one was there so they supposedly left a notice. No one rung our bell or left a notice. This post office is the worse when they have someone else covering a route for the original postman. I had to reschedule all of my packages to no fault of mine. So irked right now!!
Continuously lying about delivering packages that they didnt! Supposedly was under new management but no one there does their job because they still deliver other peoples mail to my house after I talked directly to the supervisor & told them they no longer live here.Update 2/13/17 they still have no corrected the issue above I will be reporting staff & supervisor to office of inspector general since it seems no one cares to do their job nor have any regard for the public in their delivery zone
I am not sure why people have so poorly rated this post office. A package, containing a birthday present, was said to be delivered but was not in my mail box. I called in and talked to the lady and she confirmed that the system said it was delivered, so all I could do was sadly guess my package had been stolen. About 20 minutes later, I get a knock on my front door and the lady from the post office is standing there. She explains that the package had gotten lost in the shuffle and she had personally gone through everything to double check on it. She found it and drover IN HER OWN CAR to my house to deliver it to me! THAT IS AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. This post office gets 5 stars! And I love this post-woman; she deserves a big hug!
Never actually ring doorbell or knock, we had three people home all day near the door three days in a row, every day they just put a notice on the door that they attempted delivery. This happens with every package and I always need to go to the office itself to get deliveries, which means long lines and slow, unfriendly service.
This post office is the worst.. Im only giving one star because thats the only option when youre posting a comment. You never get your package order slip because they never show up with your package then when you get to the post office and the line is just about out the door..
This post office has the worst service i have ever seen.the employees are rude and very slow to pick up a packagecan take 3-5 hours with three people in line in front of you.employees are so angry and nasty to customers the employeescan never find the customers mail and they are so nasty to the customersthey need to be trained in customer service skills badly and get newsupervision at this place quick or shut down this office because its a waist of spaceif it cant help the people that come in just to do business that deserve better thanthis.
Worst experience ever. Maxwell the cashier treated me with no respect. He refused to help me after a customer told me to get in front of him. Maxwell was determined not to allow me a quick transaction. I waited again for the next cashier. I asked to speak with a manager..waiting an additional 15mins. (on top of the 15mins of being here Initially). The line was super long. The lady cashier told her manager that she didnt feel like it and she wanted to go home. Not one staff member greeted or thanked anyone during their transactions. They did not seem interested in work or the customers. I would avoid this place at all cost. Very sad unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. People in line were upset and distressed! No Tracking, Signature paper or change of address forms accessible in the lobby. Nothing.
The staff here definitely could benefit from Supervision. Most of the staff are rude & basically lack professionalism, customer service skills & enthusiasm about serving the public. The carriers in this area display the same characteristics. I dont know what happened but it is like entering the Twilight Zone of USPS. IT IS THE WORST POSTAL EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. TO THEIR CREDIT THEY HAVE NEVER LOST ANY OF MY PACKAGES DESPITE THEIR UNFRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE.
This is the worst post office I’ve ever dealt with in my life. They have lost or stolen my packages multiple times and can never help. Whenever I’m there asking for help they tell me to call them later and when I do no one answers. It’s a horrible purgatory! I keep complaining and making claims on the usps help line and nothing is changing. Can someone please shut this place down it’s horrible.
I dont know what everyone else is talking about bout I just received some excellent customer service there when I picked up my package. No attitude great interaction with the customer I couldnt ask for anything more. Wouldve been 5 stars but I was told I had to have a piece of mail cause my ID address didnt match but rules are rules.
If I could give this post office zero stars, I would!! I mailed a birthday present to an address within this zip code. The tracking showed it was out for delivery but was never delivered. That night, the status was updated to delivery status not updated, and I am unable to reach this facility by phone to inquire as to the status of the package. When I call, it rings once, beeps, then the line disconnects! I have also had no luck resolving this issue through 1-800-ASK-USPS. Its no wonder the US Postal Service is a floundering government entity whose finances are always in the red!!
Im very upset with this post office!!!!!! They need to be under investigation as to what is going with peoples missing packages. They stated my address was undeliverable.....that is bull! My mailbox clearly states my exact address. If you guys dont like your jobs...please do us all a favor and dont work there. It doesnt make any sense. Take a good look for a second and put your selves in the place of the person waiting for a package that should have been delivered at least 6 days after they purchased...and the package is over 12 days late and still no package. Im sure you would feel sometype of way.You all need to get it together down there or you all need to be fired and they should bring in a new staff of people who actually care.
The post workers delivers the wrong mail to my house all the time.. Makes me wonder where the hell is my mail sitting. So im back 10 months later and this post office is the very worst.. why does your postal workers keep thowing my damn mail in other people boxes?? They are unprofessional. They have the WORST COSTUMER SERVICE SKILLS!! I went to retrieve my package, and the old me that my package could not be found, they would have to search for it and give me a call once found. Yet the very next day I received an email stating that my package had been delivered, I found that rather strange because that Mail carrier did not have a package when he handed me the mail. Later to find out that my package had been picked up at the window @11:34 am. I called to speak to speak to a supervisor and she argued me down to say that it had been delivered to my place of residents. which was a lie on of there workers stole my package and they wont do anything about it.
HORRIBLE- one person at counter. Regular mailman, Domic is perfect. When someone else replaces him it is mayhem. If your expecting a package and Dominic is not on, pray you get it. Other mail handlers DO NOT CARE AND WILL LEAVE YOUR PACKAGES OR MAIL HANGING OUT OF MAILBOX OR ON PORCH. In crime area this is just not acceptable. Again, it’s a nightmare.zero stars
DO NOT GET ANYTHING SHIPPED TO THIS POST OFFICE THEIR STAFF STEALS THINGS OUT PACKAGE AND THATS NOT RIGHT. I thought I was going crazy when I ordered a iPhone from someone off eBay. When my package came in the mail my phone was gone. I went up to the post office & there was nothing they could do. Now today I was looking for my hoodie I ordered and it says it was delivered today at 12pm but when I went to go look it wasnt there. Im not surprised just will never get anything shipped through them EVER again this the second tones this has happened. IM GOING TO CALL TO SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. Horrific service. .. They lose packages ALL the time and gettin a p.o. box dont help. The lines are ALWAYS long and most of them have terrible attitudes. If I could get another p.o. box I certainly would! They left a GIANT package in my door! I had to leave work early to make sure it wouldnt get stolen. BUT they said attempted delivery on a VERY small package and made me pick it up... SMFH. IT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN LEFT IN BETWEEN THE SCREEN AND FRONT DOOR!!!!! UGHHHHHHHHHH😠 I SWEAR THEY MUST BE RETARDED!!!!!
I am on hold for 30 minutes as theyre searching for my certified mail that I ordered to be redelivered last week. This is the story with EVERY package. Drink plenty of alcoholic beverages before calling this post office. Oh, after all this time on hold, they just informed me that my regular carrier is off, the substitute carrier is on, so I need to call back in the morning. So I asked them to call me instead, repeated my address and the clerk said she was looking under different name all this time. Needless to say - STAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS OFFICE.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. They never pick up their phones, no matter the time of day. If you are so unlucky to have to go in person to this store, make sure you are ready to get treated worse than the scum on the bottom of their shoes. They will lose your packages, then lie directly to your face about it. If you ever have to pick up a package there, you might as well just call it a loss.
This location lacks all motivation, organization and customer care. I have seen roughly 5 different employees over the past 45 minutes, but none at the same time. They come individually even though they have 3 windows. These employees are sucking this government job dry and preventing those who are actually willing to work from getting a job here.
Shameful. Cannot believe these people have jobs. This post office is a microcosm for everything wrong with america. They flat out dont offer any of the online services like redelivery or supplies. They steal packages (I shipped 3 times out of this post office and 2 times, the items disappeared, the third time was 30 items that were weeks late and never updated trackibg. For 30 items! I travel to ship all the mail for my business to an area where people care about anything. My stomach drops whenever I get a pink slip and have to go there. The service is worse than anything I have ever seen, as are the attitudes. Somehow, awful McDonalds run by 15 year olds run like the star trek enterprise compared to this place. The post office seems to only hire sickly old people who CANT lift a 40 lb box (a requirement for the job). Why, in Gods name, does this neighborhood have awful unemployment amongst young males, yet the post office is understaffed with sick a-holes who cant even do their job, let alone care about it, let alone NOT STEAL PACKAGES. These reviews are shameful and that is what anyone working there should feel day in and day ouy.
This location should be closed, absolutely the WORST. Keeps status as out for delivery for days at a time and never delivers, even when I pay $20 for rush shipping, this has happened every single time. The workers are rude and lazy absolutely zero customer service available, and they dont answer the phone or close the office early. Packages are never delivered on time and they dont ring the bell for deliveries. Its always a hassle getting a package. They are rude and unprofessional. What kind of people are employed at this place! Do the public a favor and fire the Postmaster and the whole darn staff! I am sick of them!
I havent even gotten there yet and the person who answer the tele-phone is so rude. I called national customer service and they confirmed that my packages were being held at the office. My normal delivery man is off and his replacement is horrible, my mail comes in crumbled and he hasnt left a delivery notice for either two of my packages. They are saying they cannot find my packages.
This place lost my package, and wont answer my calls as to where it is. it has been over a week since the package was out for delivery and it still hasnt arrived. the employees are rude. i was put on hold as soon as i someone picked up the phone. as a college student, im better off shipping anything to my home address in Allentown.
This is possibly the worse post office in the world. This place is horrible!!! It is always crowded with 2 people working! Many times one person will go on break and there will be one person working. Please dont miss your package...bc they will lose it or it will magically disappear
TERRIBLE service. Huge attitudes as soon as they pick up the phone. No respect what so ever. Would not provide me with a supervisor. Put me on hold way too long without explaining that they needed to or even telling me they were transferring me. They hung up on me twice and that was before I was even upset. Avoid at all cost! February 11th 2016 at approximately 12:45pm, I went to the North Philadelphia Post Office located at 2601 N 16th St, Philadelphia, PA 19132 to retrieve my mail from my P O Box as I have been doing for the last 20 years when I notice there was no mail in my P O box. I walked over to the counter to inquire about my P O Box being empty and seeing tape on the back of the box. I first spoke with an USPO employee at the first window who told me my box was closed due to nonpayment. She then looked up the fees and told me I owed $161.00. I was shocked because I didn’t receive any yellow slips, notices, emails, phone calls, letters, bills, invoices, text or any other kind of communication to inform me that there was any kind of payment due. I would have gladly paid the fees as I have been doing every time I received a notice in the past. She then told me I owed from 2012 till now, I then asked why wasn’t I given any kind of notice about these overdue fees even back then, she gave me a blank stare, said nothing and stood there with no answers. I then asked for a supervisor and she just pointed to her right and said get in line down there (in a very rude way). When I finally reached the windows to speak with The Supervisor Mrs. Scott, I calmly explained to Mrs. Scott that I wasn’t notified about any fees for my P O Box and I was pretty upset that I now have to pay a large amount because I wasn’t given notice. She then said “we didn’t give any notices to anybody” as she smirked. I’m now getting more irritated because it seems to be a joke to her as she stands behind the glass with her no care, non-shallot attitude. I asked why no notices was given for all these years and she then replied “ we just didn’t” and again with the smug look on her face as she awaited my next question. I now ask well, can I just have my mail that was delivered to the box?, and now with a full smile she said “it was sent back to the senders” Then she lied and said “your P O box has been closed since January”. I told her this was a lie because I collected mail from my P O Box as late as February 1st 2016, all she did was shrub her shoulders with a smug smile and say “oh well, what do you want me to do” No apologies, no concern, no nothing. Now I am really mad and trying to reframe from screaming obscenities at this heartless, large woman. I had to walk away from this uncaring, poor excuse of an employee before I did something I would have bemoaned later. I am a business man and need my P O Box as it is on all of my business cards and literature, but I don’t feel I should have to pay all these back fees because an employee of the post office decided she didn’t want to send out notices pertaining to the fees. This post office is in North Philadelphia which is in the middle of a predominantly African American neighborhood, but it doesn’t have to be operated with disregard because of the neighborhood it resides in. We have jobs, businesses, college degrees and families just like any other ethnicity. This post office opens late, Locks the doors 20 to 10 minutes before closing time, is never stocked with the appropriate literature or supplies, have employees with poor attitudes who never clean or restock the lobby area, frond doors, outside steps or the mail boxes outside. Also they freely use their cell phones while at their windows while they are supposed to be working. After all these years I have never complained not once about any of these things, but today was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I would have gladly paid the P O box fees anytime a notice was in my P O Box as I have done in the past, Please take a look at my payment history to find that I have been an upstanding, paying on time and respectful P O Box owner of over 20 years, but this lump sum of $161.00 is ridiculous especially because they deliberately did not place any kind of notices or make any attempts to contact me or any other P O Box owners in 3 years.
I do agree with the customers, who stated that their packages was delivered (attempted) and left a notice. Many of the carriers do not leave any type of notifications regarding your packages. There maybe one or two who will attempt to redeliver a package. But for the most part, your packages are lost, never delivered, etc. There should be an investigation as to the customers complaints regarding not receiving their packages.
They said that it was delivered and it was not, I have a p.o. box and it was not sent there were I would have gone and got it. I do not like going to that post office because they r just to rude they talk down to you, and when u call there the phone ring for a long time, then they put u on hold for a long time and u have to keep calling back. I dont go there also because the lines r long and they r so slow.
They said they attempted to delievered my package & than they said I requested to put my package up at the post office, when I was waiting all day for my package than I went to the office & they said it wad going to be delivered the next day & they never came. I would give this location zero stars but that was not an option. The women that work here are very rude and unprofessional. Always! I have been here more than once and they always have bad attitudes. It makes me not want to go in there and deal with them. They need to be trained in customer service.
I been waiting on a package that said was out for delivery on the 11th it never came so I kept tracking it on the 12th its said awaiting scanning delivery today is the 15th and Im still seeing the same explanation point that says awaiting scan delivery I had called up to the post office on the 13th and was told my package is still at the post office and I offered to come pick it up and they said I couldnt because it doesnt have an attempt delivery.. Instead of them just admitting they lost my package they rather play games...
The postmen lie ALL the time stating they knocked to deliver my packages.But when I track my packages and it tells me WHEN the are coming. Somebody is ALWAYS in my home. They LIE and say they made an attempt to deliver...but didnt. This is their 3rd time doing this !!!!!! 😡😡😡
The WORST EVER!!! The postal delivery people SUCK! We are a business that is open 7 days a week, yet they have said we were closed every day last week and this week when they say they attempted to deliver. LIES LIES LIES I tel you!!!!! I get mail delivery to our mail box on our building maybe 3 days a week with mail that is up to two weeks old.

The carriers always lying and saying no one was home and when going inside the lines are always so long and is almost like one person every time working at the window and the line is almost out the door everytime only reason they should get a star is because the young gentleman at the front is always nice and will help you out with the problem.

Worst post office in Philadelphia....just experience racism....I couldnt receive my package because my ID didnt match the package......then an white man that had the same problem received his package without any problems...was waiting to speak to a supervisor when I saw it occur not to mention I had arrived at post office at 9:11 didnt see a supervisor until 10:05 so unprofessional and rude no customer service skills

2022-06-01This place is beyond garbage. I have a strong feeling someone that works here steals packages. My packages go missing way to often or get “lost”. Last time i checked that was a federal offense. This place needs to have a serious investigation brought on to them

2022-01-26I ordered a package from online, it said delivered and handed to individual an absolute lie, no one was at the door of my home to receive this so who was it handed to? I hate this post office sooo bad! That was a one and only vintage item I ordered that cannot be replaced. I never found the package maybe the neighbors stole it.

2020-06-22Went there to pick up a package because the carrier didnt knock on the door yet again. The lobby was crowded. Although there are signs that state no more than 10 people allowed and must social distance, its impossible. Then after waiting for over an hour in line, the second window closed. They really need to get more staff and or change management. This photo is the customers in front of me, there were more in the back. No hand sanitizer, no wipes and some masks.

2022-02-16Recieved email yesterday at 5:09 pm that my package was delivered but did not receive it..spoke to postal person today and learned he just left my package on the steps he claimed he rang the doorbell and knocked on the door was in the house at the time and he claimed no one answered but now this is a total disgrace was on the phone with USPS for 2hrs this morning the carriers should be held accountable, why couldnt he just leave a slip for me to pick it up, they use to do this back in the day, maybe if the carriers are held accountable for their neglect then they would take better of peoples packages it should start coming out of their pay for replacement I will not be paying for their neglect..also email stated that it was left in mail box I dont have a mailbox only a mailslot in my door

2021-10-07I think things are turning around for this location. I had a really great experience with the staff, they were super helpful. For people saying it’s awful, I get it, but I do think that postal service employees and service industry workers have to deal with such mean people all the time, cut them a little slack. And really with mail just come prepared with your tracking numbers and be clear in what you need, it’ll be fine. Don’t be scared away from here.

2021-07-03Would give -Negative ***** if possible! I have received several messages over the past few months of a Delivery attempt being made, but No access to Delivery Location! On each occasion, myself or someone from my household was on the porch or standing on the sidewalk directly in front of my porch/home! Weve seen the mail truck parked near the home and walk up and down the block or at nearby block, only to see the courier re-enter the vehicle and drive off! Moments later I receive the BS message! On at least 3 of the occasions I was scheduled to leave on a flight within a day or two (as I am now)... and needed the package ON TIME... Ive actually had to drive down there at 8-9pm at night and pull into the rear loading/unloading area, show an employee my ID and wait for them to locate my package and hand it over! That has worked 4 of 5 attempts. On time I was turned away by a gentleman who told me they couldnt attempt to locate my package, I had to come in the morning and stand in line with everyone else! But Ive done that on 3 occasions and was told it was out with the mail courier! Only to get home and never even see the truck/driver, and receive a Bogus message of a BS delivery attempt! This is madness at this point! I never leave BAD REVIEWS... this is a first... the Postal Service as a entity, and definitely this location is HORRIBLE and needs to be fixed and/or replaced ASAP!PS...I also have 2 dogs that Bark at the door Each and Every Time someone even comes near our porch, not to mention when they climb the 4 steps to the door! They hear everything from outside, through the door and bark to alert each time... so even when we arent outside, Ive had the same BS messages, that just ARENT TRUE...even though both dogs were curled up near the front door! 🤔 No barking, No Alerts... yet Delivery was attempted and No Access... Sad that the service, or lack there of is this BAD!

2021-04-20I am writing on how disappointed my husband and I are with the USPS at the 2601 N. 16th location because several days ago I received an email that we were going to receive our water bill and it never came. We tried to call and went through the process of the complaint intake again several days ago and we still havent heard from anyone. Wow if we didnt sign up for the email of which mail is coming to me on a daily basis we wouldnt have known about our water bill. This is time sensitive mail so this is truly unacceptable. Something has to happen with USPS at that location but across the board so thats why I have given the review 1 star.

2021-03-18This place is the worst. I have informed delivery, so I know what mail Im supposed to be getting from day to day. Im still waiting for important mail that I was supposed to receive on February 12th. Its now over a month later. I put in a claim and was told someone would contact me. No one did. When I reached customer service the other day I was told the claim was closed and marked as if there was a solution. I still dont have my mail and no explanation. Im also missing mail from this Monday with my car registration. This place is extremely incompetent.
