Ive been going here for 4+ years, but no more. In the past 6 months I have had two separate appointments, both of which they cancelled. Once they cancelled the day of, and the next they cancelled 3 days prior, saying that they changed their hours and will not be taking appointments at that time anymore (9 am). I waited 3 months between each appointment, and if I wanted another one I would need to wait another 2 months. Im a surgical resident with 0 time, I have no contacts, and what are now year+ old glasses prescription.I even called to try and reschedule and I waited on hold for 45 minutes just to have them hang up on me saying theyre busy. I even went into the office to try and talk to someone to get an appointment, and they basically said too bad.A very nice small business in Hummelstown opened up their hours for me to get an appt this weekend.Bye, visionworks .
Place is a joke!! made an appointment almost 3 months ago to be told on the day of that the computers are down and I had to reschedule. Made me miss a day of work let alone when i made the apt i had 3 months of contacts now I have none left and who knows how long ill have to go without because of this horrible business.
They need to fix this location. basically everything that could upset a customer/patient will happen here. Look at the numerous recent one star reviews.I have been waiting two weeks and one day for contact lenses, just the trial pair from my first visit. I called and was assured it is normal for it to take this long. This morning I was called again and a message was left saying they ordered them to the wrong store and have to start the order over.No one answers the phone, which boots you off after being on hold for a few minutes. The corporate does not answer the phone and has not answered my email for two days. The website chat feature they direct you to is chatting with a bot.If you would like to spend hours frustrated and not get what you need, use visionworks. Complete garbage.
I booked an appointment for an eye exam about a month in advance which was the next available appointment they had. The day of my appointment, as I was pulling into the parking lot about 15 minutes before my appointment time, I received a call saying that they needed to reschedule my appointment. Annoying, but my fiancé who drove me all the way there was more upset about it than I was. The woman on the phone was very apologetic and told me that she could reschedule my appointment for two days later which pushed a trip back for me but sure, fine by me, I need to be able to see. Two days later, the morning of my appointment, I received another phone call, this time a different woman, and I was told that they needed to reschedule my appointment again. I said that my appointment was already rescheduled once before, and she told me that she has no control over that, and that this time their next available appointment was in over a month. I just cancelled the appointment and I’ll be trying to get in somewhere else. It’s frustrating because I had to delay a trip to visit my terminally ill family member so I could make it to my first reschedule and I’m now finding out that I could have left already because my vision exam was cancelled last minute twice. Meanwhile, obviously I can’t see and it’s been about a month and a half which I could’ve spent trying to get an appointment elsewhere. Just overall an excruciatingly annoying experience and yet another healthcare provider with terrible patient care.
Called an assistant trying to understand why the appointments I scheduled online kept getting canceled. Unfortunately she was extremely rude to me. Yelling at me that she had no control over it. Talked to my friend and said his wife had the same exact experience. I will not be going there. That is horrible customer service. Time to find an appointment for a new eye doctor.
I had an appointment today that I scheduled over a month in advance. I arrived on time and the woman behind the counter told me that I did not have an appointment because.... Get this, THE DOCTOR WAS NOT THERE.... AT THE EYE DOCTORS!!!!Unreal.Allegedly they called and left a message that said they needed me to reschedule but I never got any voicemail. I did however recieve a text on that day which was a reminder for my appointment.They do not have a phone number where you can reach an actual person (although allegedly THEY CAN CALL YOU) and when I tried to make an appointment, the next available one is almost 2 months away. UNBELIEVABLY dissatisfied with Visionworks and would not recommend this to anyone.Imagine if you needed a medical procedure done on a timely manne and you showed up and got the run around and then couldnt get the Medicare care you needed for another 2 months.If thats what youre into, definitely make an appointment here.
Wow!!! I am visiting my parents in Hershey and wanted to get my glasses adjusted. My mom said she thinks they require an appointment for getting adjustments, so she said to call first. Spent 20 minutes waiting and eventually a corporate customer service rep answered, but he didn’t know whether this particular location required appointments for that or not. He put me on hold and tried reaching out to the store and couldn’t get through to them either!!I go to a Visionworks near Pittsburgh and never had an experience like this! Would not recommend this location!
I had a terrible experience with Barbara yesterday. Besides her lying to me and saying she didn’t have my contacts in stock until I said I wanted to talk to the manager, then it magically appeared.She tried everything she could to not help me. She was rude and abrasive.I got my prescription and will be taking my business elsewhere. And would never recommend Visionworks in Hummelstown.
Id love to give zero stars. The unbelievable lack of customer service is astounding. My original appointment set for a Tuesday evening in December was canceled without notification due to the doctor being out of office. When I arrived at my scheduled appointment time John in the office told me that they had no appointments today and that they tried to call me two days before my appointment but my line was busy. They obviously did not try to call back or leave a message because I get numerous inbound calls and voice message without issue daily. John proceeded to tell me that they cannot email (after I had already received 3 emails to confirm my appointment) or text me as they do not have access to that information which is completely ridiculous, especially when cancelling an appointment and being unable to get in contact with the patient. To say that John was unhelpful would be an understatement. He proceeded to tell me that they had no appointments available, when they were the ones who had canceled the appointment. He begrudgingly offered two appointments (one being the day after Xmas) that did not work due to the holiday and when I turned them down his response was well I have given you options and you are deciding to decline them. I have never seen a level of customer service so poor and I will NEVER be returning to this Visionworks.
I used this location about 2 years ago and had a great experience. That has changed.After waiting several months for an appointment (and taking off work), I received a phone call the day before my appointment telling me that the doctor has decided to take vacation and would be unavailable. The appointment was rescheduled for a month later which was irritating to start with. Well today, again a day before my appointment, I received a call that the doctor will not be in and they are going to need to reschedule. I do not have the time to continuously take off work in the hopes that their provider will be available.
I visited Visionworks on Mae Street for the first time today. I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome. Every single employee that assisted me was fantastic! The woman who gave me my pre-exams was a hoot! The eye doctor that I saw was super pleasant and helpful! John was awesome and really went the extra mile to assist me with picking out my glasses and choosing the best lenses for my needs. Personally, I am not a fan of doctors appointments but this was a totally different experience for me. I shared more than a few laughs at this location and left feeling confident in my purchase. Highly recommend!!
I had such a lovely experience with Barbara W at the Hummelstown Visionworks. She was so kind and helpful and really made me feel good about coming here. I couldn’t recommend her more, I hope someone in management sees this review and gives her the recognition she deserves for going above and beyond with customer care. Thank you, Barb!
I stopped in to get glasses adjusted. Sign said to make appointment. So as I was sitting in the parking lot I called. Saw people in there, no customers. It rang and rang, nobody picked up. Left it ring for at least 10 minutes. Finally I just walked in. Phone not ringing. Did they turn it off? A man asked if he could help me. I said I needed glasses adjusted. I had to make an appointment. I said there was nobody there at this moment could they do them now. No. I had to make an appointment. When asked why not now. He said he may have customers coming in soon. Got my appointment and left, disgruntled. It would have taken 2 minutes! This is not the first time I have had trouble with them answering the phone. Last time I was in the phone kept ringing and the woman said she wished it would stop. I told her the only way it would stop is if she would answer it, which she did. Duhhh. But, on the other hand, I love Dr. Korn!
I came here after my old office did not accept my new insurance. I was shocked by how much more advanced this office was compared to my old office (which is much more expensive). The technology they have there is very impressive. The selection of glasses they offer is also impressive. Designer and wallet-friendly brands as well!It is clear all the workers are passionate about their job, and want you to have a great and easy experience. They also want to make sure you are getting the best deal based on your insurance and current discount offers. John was absolutely amazing. The workers at this Visionworks go out of the way for you. I go to college in Ohio, and I will not be back home until much later this year. I asked them if they could have my glasses sent to a Visionworks near where I live in OH so I would not have to have my father ship my glasses to me. After discovering that the closest Visionworks was an hour and half away from where I live in Ohio, John told me he would have my glasses just shipped to my address with no extra charge! The last thing these employees want to do is cause you to have more stress in your life. I cannot wait to go back for my next appointment! I am honestly glad that my old office does not accept my insurance anymore because they would have never done this for me and their machines are very outdated.
If I could give a negative star I would. I had a appointment for 4pm and got there 15 minutes early. Only to be told your appointment was rescheduled. No it wasnt I have to text message to prove that my appointment was for the date I arrived @ 4pm. I was told to take a seat and another gentleman was there apparently a half hour early, then another gentleman came in with a appointment the same time as mine. The one employee there had a nasty attitude and told another worker she was about to walk out and the other employee said mee too this is a cluster. Then she proceeded to have a tantrum because she didnt have a lunch yet. So she takes the gentleman that was 30 minutes early in the back for his exam and the gentleman with the appointment at 4 comes in and they announce that he was here. She yells from the back while she is with a customer great now everybody is here for there appointments, well he is going to have to wait because Ive already started with this person! She also said and I quote Im not taking her referring to me. The gentleman was upset and said well we are not late for the appointment and I have another appointment scheduled at 5pm. My son is going into the service and we need to get everything done today. He was told your appointment will take longer than an hour did you have to leave by 5pm or is the appointment at 5pm. He was not seen until she was done with the gentleman that came in 30 minutes early. She was rude, unprofessional, and should not be working in the customer service field she is in. I was given another date to return for another appointment that I had to wait to get 2 months ago. All to be told there is no doctor here this week and we didnt know he was on vacation. I also said when I return for this next appointment I dont want to be seen by the employee with the nasty disposition and I was told this is not her fault were having IT issue. I will say her nasty attitude and unprofessionalism is her fault and she should know how to better handle situation that is not the norm. She should also know how to handle herself when customers are in the store and privately talk to her manager about not having a lunch and NOT say she is about to walk out in front of customers.
I originally went there and I was happy but today was very different. Today the weather was 80 degrees and I was enjoying the weather so Visionworks takes your temp when you walk in and just because I was enjoying the SUN AND WARMTH and was a little bit WARM my temp reflected it I was treated BADLY. WOWWW!! NEEDS BETTER PEOPLE WORKING THERE OR MAYBE SMARTER!! Needless to say I am NOT happy with the service I received today 😑
I scheduled appointments for my grandsons. Took almost 2 months to get in. The one had broke his glasses, but I understand with Covid it would take awhile.On Sunday the 11th I got reminder emails for the appointments on the 14th.On Monday the 12th I got a call to tell me the were canceling their appointments due to being short staffed on the 14th.Soonest I could get them in would be end of May !!!!Very upset I have been taking them to Visionworks for years, and never cared for their customer service, and now this. Only reason I went originally because it took their insurance. Wont be returning!!!
Made my daughters appointment like a month ago, the appointment was for this coming Monday. Yesterday I got a phone call from them to reschedule because the doctor won’t be there, thinking that they will said oh we have one for next week, of course not, the lady said at the end of January. Are you kidding me after waiting all this time? I definitely going to start looking for another one. This is ridiculous!
My husband and I have used this Visionworks store in the past (shortly after it opened), and returned again for new eye wear. The entire staff was pleasant and friendly and the person who helped us (Sue) was a pleasure to work with. She was knowledgeable regarding our insurance benefits and also in helping me choose a new frame style I was satisfied with. She made us feel welcomed and important as customers and went out of her way to help me regarding a repair to my old frames. Definitely a great experience!
I originally made an appointment in January of 2021. I have been called to reschedule my appointment 3 separate times and each time my appointment was pushed back a month because they were booked. I will never use Visionworks if they can not keep their appointments. I understand there is a pandemic still but my appointments were on different days and at 2 different times.
All of the staff was wonderful. The doctor was kind and thorough. He explained everything in a way that I understood. Darlene was very helpful with me pick out my frames. She was pleasent, professional and honest. When it came to customer service Darlene was honest and that kind of service was refreshing. Its rare to find people like that these days. I will be returning for my vision needs.
I had a truly amazing experience at this location! Never thought picking out glasses would be so much fun! Sue was amazing and I will always go back to her from now on! She took her time in helping me, and we got the entire staff to join in our fun! The frames are amazing and couldn’t have done it without the help of sue and her amazing co workers!!!
I came in a month ago after making an online appointment in August. I made the appointment for contact lenses. When I got into the doctors room he says youre here to get new glasses. I had to tell him that I was not there for that. He got a bit irritated but he went on with the appointment. After he told me he was going to get my trial pack ordered and I would get a call to come in and learn how to use them.I have called the office now 4 times and everytime I call they tell me the contact lens person isnt in and take my name & number. I have not received a call back yet. I tried calling today multiple times and it keeps forwarding me to the customer care center. I can not get ahold of anyone and am getting really irritated. I would at least like to know my prescription so I could order my lenses else where...
I wish there was an option to give zero stars. One star is way too much for what happened.This incident happened few weeks back. I did not post a review right away as I wanted to give the owner a chance to give me a call as promised by the manager on-site at that time.We have been to this store few times to get glasses for me, my wife and my son. The first 2 encounters went well with good overall service & experience. But when I went to collect glasses for my son - there was this girl called Jessica who showed lot of attitude and was simply just rude. I ignored it, got the glasses and walked away. I did notice she was nice to other customers.Few days back my son broke his glasses. So I went back to get it fixed as I had bought insurance for the glasses. I could not believe I had to face the same rude girl again. She was her usual self (hadnt changed in last 1-2 years) with lot of attitude with zero courtesy. Instead of stating politely the insurance period had run out she was just......, well you can guess the rest. I just picked the glasses and walked out.One of her colleagues followed me to the parking lot and asked me if I called her a name. I said no and asked her if she noticed how rude her colleague was. She claimed she did not hear our conversation. During this period, the on-site manager came outside and I told him what had happened. He said the owner will call me the next day which has not happened after several days.Now, I have seen how this girl behaves with others and how she did with me. Based on my experience, I have every reason to believe this girl Jessica is racist and store owner simply does not care.Again, based on my experience I want to believe this is an unprofessional, whites only store and strongly discourage non-whites go elsewhere for their needs.
This is my first time making a review so right there you know I had an AMAZING experience. Me and my 6 year old daughter seen Dr Fred Marotta and he was so good with her so patient kind and did his best to work with her in making sure she had a good pair of glasses! He did my 1st contact exam. I was nervous he made it so comfortable he answered my millions of questions. Took the time to explain things to me properly. I normally feel rushed when going to any kind of appointment that is for me and my children but not at this appointment. Also I was so unsure of my daughters eyes since they are bad Im beyond words how easy it was he talked me through EVERYTHING for her. What was going on at the appointment and what future appointments will be like. Hes just so AMAZING. Best experience. I will make sure we see him at every future appointment..
The doctor was very nice however, most of the staff liked to stand around and talk about all the patients. Every time the staff member got off the phone with a customer, there was an attitude and talking bad. I tried calling the whole week before my kids appointments to give the insurance info but no one ever answered the phone.
Fantastic doctor, great establishment with a good variety of optical selections. Personally, I had an undesirable accident on my mountain bike & unfortunately, I was wearing my glasses that went flying into the street. After coming back into this shop with my 8 month old glasses that I previously purchased from the same place, they warrantied the frames and lenses ensuring I was satisfied with their service. Thanks again Visionworks for getting me back on track with the quick resolution & repair to my glasses.
My husband and I went to Vision Works Hummelstown location.It was nice 🙂We both got exams and he got glasses and I got contact lenses and I’m going back for my glasses.Dr. M was good. He was professional and knowledgeable. He gave me several trial lens to try out 👍🏽John was Great 👊🏽👏🏽 he gave us the best for our buck with our insurance and with their store deals too. My first time getting glasses and I highly recommend. Sue was so awesome and friendly. My phone was completely dead and I wanted to get my husbands opinion on glasses so she charged my phone for me while I picked out glasses. I ended up picking out about 15 pairs and was overwhelmed but she helped me narrow down and make a decision quickly. She ended up finding me my favorite pair!
This place has great employees along with great customer service! The employees really make my daughter and I both feel like we are in a comfortable environment. They are very thorough, friendly and patient with you. My daughters favorite employee, I would have to say, is John. He is honestly great with her and gives her the laugh(s) of the day, while still being very professional. Highly recommend this Visionworks.
Excellent customer service! Sue, Marley and crew go above and beyond in every way. We had a hiccup while ordering contacts and Sue not only fixed the problem she went the extra mile. I have been going to Visionworks in Hershey for the last few years. With the wonderful customer service I will continue going there for many years to come. I had a great experience with Sue today. My original frame (not from Visionworks) fell apart in my hand while cleaning them, so I needed a quick repair or replace. Sue encouraged me to call the original optician and see if it was under warranty. The information could not be accessed because the optician was out sick. So I decided to let Sue find me a new frame to replace the broken one and put the old lenses in it. Not only did she find me a stylish frame, but she extended me a 60% discount meant for a whole pair of glasses with lenses. When she rang up the frames, they were unexpectedly on clearance so I got them for under thirty dollars! Plus she gave me a really cute Vera Bradley case to carry home my spare pair. I was in and out in less than a half hour even though they were really busy when I walked in. I like the new frames even better than the broken ones. Thanks, Sue. You made my day.
Worst service ever. I have been trying since I went for an eye exam on Sept 11 20 to get an insurance issue figured out. Whenever I call the same miserable lady answers and gives me a run around and always says the person I need to talk to is out to lunch and she will call me back. That never happens. I need contacts. Guessing ill schedule one somewhere else and they wont get paid for the one I got in September. Im tired of wasting my precious time on hold to get no where. Tired of wearing my glasses for 3 months now.
I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new eye care facility so I went to vision works and the staff was so welcoming. I worked with Sue and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all of my questions about insurance benefits and was just a pleasure to talk to. I will definitely be returning here for all of my eye care needs.
Called in April and made an appointment for the end of May that appointment canceled day before for Thursday June 4th at 10:40 am at 10:20 got another call to cancel my appointment dont have enough staff according to Mark who I talked to. next available appointment is July 14th maybe??? No thanks going some where else.
I recently moved to the area from Pittsburgh and chose Visionworks randomly for my routine eye exam. I am so GLAD that I chose this establishment! From the moment I walked in the door, every single employee was beyond friendly and offered the warmest welcome. The lady that did my pre-exam (I feel bad I can’t remember her name) was such a hoot and had me laughing the entire time. John was extremely helpful, friendly (and hilarious) and spent time helping me choose frames that were my style and within my budget. Dr. Marotta was literally the most personable medical professional I have ever experienced. He speaks to you like he has known you for years. I usually am not a fan of doctors appointments but this was such a pleasant experience, it felt more like I was laughing with friends the entire time. 10/10 would totally recommend! Looking forward to my next visit!
On Sunday, 4/28, I came into the store with a broken frame. I thought I would have to send in my old lenses to get a new frame. Barbara looked my current frames up and found them in stock in the store. She helped me get the best price for the frames and was able to fit my lenses into the new frames. She was a real blessing to me that day!
These people are amazing!They were all so welcoming and super friendly!Came to replace some broken frames of mine as I was passing through town, and although they didnt have the exact frames I had, they went above and beyond by contacting each visionworks on my route searching for my replacement! Awesome people!As a side note they also helped my family and I find a great place to eat for breakfast. Overall just amazing service and more importantly, amazing people.Stay awesome Sue and John!
This was the most unprofessional medical facility I have ever been to. The doctor was nice and so was the woman who I dealt with after the appointment, but it seemed like all they cared about was selling a pair of glasses, not my actual vision. The waiting area is on the back wall and the women up front were talking back and forth with the doctor in the back loudly, instead of walking back to speak to him about patients. They were openly talking about patients, using their full names and what they were seen for and talking about the paper work they lost. I dont like stiff offices with no personality but this was just too unprofessional for me.
John is the best! You can tell that he is genuine and honest, and that he wants you to have the best experience. Dr. Marotta did a thorough exam and made sure that I had all my questions/issues addressed. I love the fact that they’re open during the weekend since it’s the only time that we can go & have our eyes checked. Overall experience was awesome! I couldn’t ask for more & will definitely recommend to friends.
Dr.Marotta is the best optometrist I have ever been to. I have often gone to private optometry offices before, thinking they provided a better service than chain providers - this is clearly not the case. The wait times I have experienced overall have been incredibly short. Dr.s examinations are very thorough and he makes it a point to make sure hes covered all necessary issues. I also feel very comfortable with Dr.Marotta as he is very personable, professional, and kind. The office is clean and welcoming. The staff have always been very pleasant. My recent contact purchase with the associate John was very satisfying. John explained the costs and my options very clearly. He was kind and courteous, and made my checkout smooth and painless. I highly recommend this office and Dr.Marotta specifically!
So I’ve always been a little hesitant to go to big chain store businesses. I prefer to support local businesses. I was impressed with this Visonworks after they really went over and beyond to help my girlfriend. I also got new insurance and my old spot does not participate with my new insurance. I visonworks a chance and I was very impressed with the doctor. He took his time and even helped me out with a prescription for my itchy eyes during allergy season.The selection of glasses is really nice and the prices are much better then the last place I went to. I got the same exact glasses that I got at my old spot for almost $100 cheaper!
I give this store 5 stars because of how well I was and have been treated there. I have told all my friends to go there for there eye spots. bc of at least 2 of the best employees work there. Darlene and Sue are the most sweetest and caring employees there. They make you feel comfortable and make sure all your needs are met!!
One of the better visionworks Ive been too. As soon as I walked in the door I was greated with the greeting of the day. All the employees were dressed nicely, polite and courteous. The store itself was clean and organized. Riley, was the young lady who assisted me and she was very polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. She even managed to get me a discount and saved me some money. Id definitely recommend this store to my friends and family and will definitely come back here to do some more business.
I have had such a great professional experience at this location. I have been to others but, this location is worth the drive! Staff is personable, very professional and helpful when you are overwhelmed with trying to pick out glasses. John is a very honest person that does not try to rip you off or pushy. The whole staff at this office is wonderful. From now on-this is my new favorite! Worth the 45 min drive.
The doctor and staff has gone above and beyond to help me get the first pair of progressive bifocals correct for me. This is my first time wearing glasses so its been an adjustment. Every time I go into the store they work really hard to make my glasses effective for me. I highly recommend this business!!
The atmosphere there is very nice everyone was very professional riley is the associate that helped me out and she was able to find me the perfect pair of glasses while also saving me some money as well! She was very kind and professional with me and made it a very lovely experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a pair of glasses
Getting an eye exam should not require your life history and because i did not want to give the medication that I take on a daily basis I was asked to leave. I will be contacting an attorney on Monday morning to file discrimination charges against this terable and rotten store .just look at the last few months of reviews. Something changed for the worse.
They were very fast and kind. They said they would have me in at 11:15 and indeed I was in at 11:15 on the dot. They were quick to get me my glasses. I appreciate the reliability of the service and the speed in which I was taken care of. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs glasses quick and they’re not too badly priced either!
Unfortunately I have to give one star. Zero is what I would like to give. I used to recommend them. However, after getting a notification that my glasses are in and being on hold for over an hour when trying to call upset me. But then after finally getting through and clearly being agitated due to how long it took, I was basically told that Im a liar, that I wasnt on hold that long, etc. Then told I can get my glasses but cant get them adjusted or anything until I make an appointment and to find a time where Im available would be a week or more. Thats just unacceptable since I am getting headaches from the old glasses and need new ones. Im finished with them and will never go back and will take as many people that I know with me. Warby Parker is really starting to look good. Time to find a new eye doctor for my eye exam.In addition, the girl who answered was rude and constantly trying to talk over me. Clearly I was upset, instead of trying to help the situation, she made it much worse and made me more angry. I think her name was Mallory. Not 100% positive on the name though.
I would give this location 10 stars if I could.I got there for my appointment, super friendly staff and doc! Once I was back for my exam, Dr.Morotta explained all that was going on with my eyes.I really wanna stress how important it was for me to find glasses. My eyes were starting to bug me alottt!The lady whom helped me pick out my 2 pairs, Barbara... what a wonderful time I had, she showed me the style of lenses I wanted and gave me honest critique. I went into Visionworks today, John the Retail Supervisor waited on me, he was informative and helped me with my selection. He was very knowledgeable, and funny, and I would recommend going to this Visionworks. The staff is friendly, and helpful. I will definitely be going back.!!!🤓😎
Spoke with Darlene and she was the most helpful and the most sweetest woman ever! I can tell she loves her job and helping customers as much as she can. I dont normally write reviews about doctors or their practice/office, but I was so impressed with this place that I really feel the need to write something. Dr. Marotto (not sure if I spelled hos name correctly) was very thorough & pleasant to work with. He answered all my questions, but most importantly, he didnt make me feel rushed at all. After I was done seeing him, I decided to look at glasses. This is where, John, the office manager came into play. He was so ridiculously enjoyable to work with. Besides having such a great personality, he gave his undivided attention to me & really helped me to narrow down my eyewear choices. Considering I dont wear glasses nearly as much as I do contacts, he knew I wasnt interested in spending a lot for glasses, but even with that said, he took his time in helping me to find a pair that looked good on me while still at a good price. Thanks John, you made picking out glasses a fun adventure😉 Who would think?
Darlene has done such an amazing job fixing one of my students glasses. As a principal I was concerned to see that child without glasses and struggling at school. His teacher mention that to me and I decided to visit Vision Works in Hummelstown PA. Darlene has almost done the impossible. She even got him a new case. All that and she didnt want to charge me anything. I greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much 💕😊
Was in on November 29th for an eye exam. Received great service from the minute I walked in the door! John was great helping me find a flattering pair of glasses! If your looking for a new eye center make sure you stop in at visionworks in Hummelstown, you won’t be disappointed!

She explained my benefit allowance so I can get the most out of them ..in the past ..no ones really given me that option before and I would always just get one box of contacts ..she told me i could get a 6 mos supply for 12 bucks and not waste the rest of my benefit allowance for contacts.
Way to expensive I took myself and my son there for glasses because we couldn’t get in our normal place for weeks. Well my husband waited and went to our normal place. My husband and I basically got the same Type of lenses with bifocals he even got the transition lenses and yet I shelled out over $100 more for my glasses then him. Looked at his bill compared to my bill and bouquet and Mollogon out of Cleona PA charge $300 for both lenses while vision Works charge 300 apiece I find this very unfair how can one place charge 300 for both while the other charge of 300 apiece I feel like I was ripped off and I will never step foot in vision works again
I love visionworks, they are all so wonderful, great customer service Ive been with them for years and I would recommend any and everybody go there. My favorite is Sue I absolutely love her, she is so funny and warm welcoming, great customer service & she do her job very well
Ive been very happy with this Visionworks - they have worked with me to find a prescription that works for me (which is challenging cause my eyesight is pretty bad 😂) instead of just settling for something good enough. Everyone is friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Visionworks at Hummelstown.
I would definitely recommend this establishment to friends and family. The staff here are very friendly, knowledgeable about their job, and patient. John helped me out tremendously and made sure I received all the discounts that were available to me. Dr. Petcov is so patient and kind. I will definitely be back
Booked online a two weeks ago in HERSHEY, PA. I have an appointment on 8/24. Visionworks is now using an online scheduling system. I found an opening, scheduled. They called me today and told me it was double booked and next available appointment is in October. This is why I tried to call and schedule initially but apparently they dont answer the phone very often.John the manager refused to try and squeeze me in sooner. He refused to take any responsibility - blaming corporate and NOT OFFERING ANYTHING TO HELP. Not even to take my name in case of a cancellation.COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Ive never had such terrible customer service in my life. Left me high and dry with a contact prescription up in September and who knows if Ill find a place. Im disgusted and will probably never come back to a Visionworks, Ive never been this kind of person but other consumers should know that in Hershey the customers problem is not Visionworks problem, even when they screwed up.Thanks VISIONWORKS!

2022-01-01I went in and was taken back for the initial tests very quickly and everything was going well. Then, another worker who wasnt really paying attention tried to take me back again to take the tests. After my final exam was over, I waited over 45 min for one of the two front desk workers to let me pay and leave. Instead of helping me, they were just gossiping to each other about their facebook friends personal life. Very unprofessional and I wont be coming back to this location.

2021-12-10I had the rudest experience from an older woman with tattoos on her hands presumably named Barb, as she was not wearing her name tag. Not only did I watch her berate a young tech who was only trying to help her, she was not wearing her mask appropriately. The best part was that she was wide open mouth coughing and repeatedly saying she didnt know why she was coughing. Then when I was called over I was asked a very impolite what do you want after telling her my request she told me I needed my prescription, which I had on my phone and was willing to give to her, she said no, we need it in paper, even though I showed the tech and she didnt say anything. Barb was a colossal jerk and based off of other reviews should likely be terminated before you lose all of your business.

2021-12-12The staff was great. They have a good frame selection. The only reason they arent getting 5 stars is because I am still waiting for my glasses. I was supposed to have them by the 6th of December, with no update on when Ill get them.

2021-06-11This place is pretty much the worst and I can safely say this after giving them chance after chance over the years. But Im done. The employees are terrible at serving customers. I waited to pick up my glasses while one of them had a 15 minute personal conversation with a customer. I overheard the other employee who was with a customer tell them that theyd need to come in to the store because if they only call, no one will answer. What? Months ago, I scheduled an appointment and when I showed up, they told me that I missed my appointment though I clearly showed them the text message with my appointment time. What was their response? Too bad, so sad. I have always gone here because of my eye insurance but I leave so aggravated by the terrible service thats its not worth it to me anymore. Ill pay completely out of pocket somewhere else to avoid this place from now on.

2021-06-07Unfortunately I have the rudest service today from Barb after an exceptionally great bedside manner by my technician. Unfortunately I did not receive the contact lens portion of my examination today and was so rudely told that I was responsible for making sure that this was done for me. Where was it outline of the eye exam that I was supposed to follow? as a medical provider, I never expect any patients of mine to make sure that their care is complete especially with the newness of a virtual exam.

2021-04-07I took daughter there last month and I was so pleased with the way she was treated, I ran home, got on computer, went to my Healthcare Coverage App, to see if VisionWorks is one of my providers. They were, so I scheduled an appointment for myself. I had my appointment today and again I am very pleased with the services provided. Everyone there is very nice and seems most of the employees know what theyre doing. I will be picking my new glasses up within 1-2 weeks. They also give you a copy of your prescription, in case you would rather order glasses elsewhere. I didnt even have to ask for the prescription. I wouldnt hesitate to return to VisionWorks the next time I need an eye exam.

2021-05-05Today was the third time since early March that vision works has cancelled my appointment. They confirmed it with me two days ago and today cancelled it because they have suddenly changed their hours. The last two times I was cancelled on, the telohealth doctors were unavailable (I get it) and the other time their computers were offline. I guess I am glad they cancelled three days before, unlike the last two times which were cancelled the day of, when I had taken off from work.Oh and they only schedule as early as 6 weeks out.... OR you need to call everyday and see if they have any cancellations. What a joke! People are at work before 9am, when you open your doors! Sorry that I cannot accommodate being at Visionworks between 10 and 3pm.Reviews of the past few months for this locations are horrible. Perhaps the person who is running this branch gets it together.

2021-04-19Awful and frankly misleading customer service by one of the helpers there which has resulted in feeling bad about the experience enough times to finally fire them today. The reason they get 2 stars is the actual eye doctor was nice and correctly prescribed lens. But now he quit.Take your money and your time elsewhere and you will be a happier eyeglasses wearer.

2021-04-12I booked the first two available appointments for 4/13 for myself and my daughter. We had the 9:00am and the 9:20am appointments. Then they called me today (A day before the appointments) to tell me that they dont have doctors in that early and I will have to reschedule both appointments to May 20th. I booked these appointments 2 months ago, And I can see other reviews for this location that are stating the samething happened to them. When I said to the woman who called me today that this was a inconvenience to me to call the day before she said Thats not our fault , do you want the new appointments or not. I asked to speak to the manager who was polite but not really any assistance and said that the employee wasnt wrong. This was Vision Works Hershey. In the past year almost all of there reviews are 1 star . Before that they were getting great reviews. Sounds like a staffing change needs to happens. I love Vision Works a a company but this location needs alot of improvement. Just read the most recent reviews.
