Walmart Supercenter in other cities:
No toys what so ever. New stuff was released over a month ago. Manufacturer says they were shipped. Company says youve got them. Store has no idea. And its not just got toys. Certain food items. Like saltiness Crackers. Finally got them back in. Amish took 100 boxes out the door.Staff didnt seem to care we were there. Or that they had jobs to do.Two half dressed hobos out of four wonky carts.
Look out for a big built white male bald head blue eyes name Brian trudnowski he wears a brace under his sweatshirt and puts DVDs and CDs in it then emptys and box and shoved stuff in it he drives a white car he lives in Waterford he is banned from most Walmarts but still goes he had priors for his theftd
*UPDATE reset is (supposedly) done. Store now carries just a little bit of EVERYTHING. Aisles are narrow and store is packed. No room for social distancing...and if you get claustrophobic or panic attacks; suggest you find an EMPTY time.Thought the tight Aisles was temporary for reset...but no.Staff is helpful and frazzled...they are hoping the reset is finished as well but arent sure. They have issues finding items.
The store layout is very different from other Walmarts. Be ready to have to search for what you want.Update: They have rearranged the store into a moderately more logical design, but stuff is still wacky. Ex: the tea/coffee isle is 3/4 of the way through grocery, not the first isle.
While nearby at Lowes, decided to stop at this particular Walmart. Despite many customers being there, everything was operating very efficiently. The store was clean, and more importantly well stocked. Adequate cashiers working, and multiple self checkouts available. For me, giving any Walmart a high rating is rare. This shopping experiencewas certainly an exception.
Congratulations on having the most disgusting mens bathroom in Ive seen in quite some time. Id almost bet it hasnt been deep cleaned since the place was built. I also enjoyed waiting several minutes at the self checkout to have my R rated DVD approved (tobacco isle; the only one with real cashier, was a mile long). I was even fortunate enough to get to dig through my bags to present my receipt to the 2 employees standing by the exit. I think Ill find a new place to shop.
Leanne is a great accept to your company. She helped me find everything I needed plus gave me ideas, which worked out wonderful. Every other employee just pointed me in a direction that was wrong. She deserves full recognition for this plus a raise. Without her help I wouldnt of been able to accomplish what I wanted and it turned out better than I could of ever imagined. A special thank you to Leanne. You are a wonderful person ❤
Very busy. I should have known better than to grocery shop on a Friday evening. This time I went on Friday morning. Much less crowded. Good selection of items. Only had one cashier open, everything else was self checkout. I waited for the cashier. Only one person in front of me. Only reason I still go to Walmart is that my Medicare plan includes 75/ qtr in free groceries. Other than that I can get the same deals at my local grocery stores.
Between this store and the Elm street store, Im not sure which is worse. Rude, lazy employees.. rude customers, all self check out (only ONE real register open with a line a mile long), and they never have what you want in stock. I went in on black friday and was looking for a specific item the website said was in stock at this specific store and between SIX employees AND the service desk, NOT ONE employee could help me find the item.. or even bothered trying! Before I was even done explaining the situation (to each employee) and what I was looking for, I was told.. The website is wrong, We dont have it, That was a sale item from several days ago, Were out of stock, the website just hasnt updated yet because were so busy since its black friday.. etc.. It didnt seem like a single one of them knew what they were talking about. After over an hour of going back and forth with employees and looking myself, a lady at the service desk informed me I could order the item online and pick up in the store the next day. Not that I wanted to make another trip up there the next day, but okay. She explained even if they didnt have it in stock, the item would come from another facility, and I could still pick up the next day. So I ordered in a huff.. and left. I woke up the next morning to an email stating my order had been canceled due to the item being out of stock... Like, are you kidding me?! So then of course since black friday was over, I ended up having to re-order the item at a higher price.. AND I had to pay for shipping on top of that.. Thanks Walmart, I sure do appreciate that!
I dont know what was worse, the cranky employees trying so hard to restock amidst crowds, or the rude shoppers. Many of the coolers near milk section were not working. Dont know if they are being newly installed or waiting for repairs. Store had been shuffled so very little was in its former spot. Signage did say that the app could help locate things- but that proved to not be the case. Lines so long I was forced to do self check-out.
I really like the bargains at this store. What isnt so great anymore is the fact that they never have more than a couple registers open and if you dont want to wait in a long line you are forced to go to the self checkout. The areas to put items on after scanning them is extremely small.
There is a guy that works over by the knives and hunting/fishing licenses. He is extremely helpful and this review is based solely on his customer service. He was great. He answered all of my questions, was truthful, and provided advise. Awesome service. Other than that Walmart was the same old same old.
I mean. Its a Walmart. Cant really go wrong. Theres always lots of inventory and its relatively clean and tidy. One star removed for their grocery pickup. This location seems to struggle with their logistics and leaves the employees understaffed for the demand. The employees are friendly and work hard but its often faster for me to just do my shopping inside.
I rarely go to Walmart, I dont like it. Its never a good experience. The size is ridiculous, way more than they need, you spend more time walking than shopping. Theres always long lines and only a couple registers open. Employees are not helpful or knowledgeable, usually not pleasant and even rude more times than not.
Staff members Holly and Ken were very helpful and friendly. Very good selection at very good prices. However, like most Walmarts, they need to get several more rider carts for people who are legitimately handicapped. Also, although its not Walmarts fault, there are too many people parking in their handicapped spots who dont need to. This problem is definitely not exclusive to Walmarts.
There was absolutely no food on the shelves which I run into a lot at the Walmart on peach. Next time Im just going to drive to the west side and go to the west ridge rd Walmart, they are always stocked and their associates are always very helpful. This is the third time Ive gone to the Walmart on peach and found no frozen, or refrigerated food. They either dont stock or their trucks are very late. The selection at west ridge rd is a thousands times better and if u cant find something an associate with help you. On peach the associates have no clue themselves were anything is no help at self checkout, if u ring something up twice there on accident you have to push help, which does nothing because the young workers are gossiping. I waited 20 minutes with my hand raised, these young workers didnt even acknowledge me, I was ready to leave and had to leave all my items at the register and walk up to them and say excuse me I hate to Interrupt your talk and laughing session but Ive been calling for you, pushed help had my hand raised for 20 minutes and u guys are so into your personal conversation u arent helping anyone. Anyway they had so little food I walked out with $4 in groceries. Its getting worse then elm Street. So for now on I will make to the drive to the west side which is the best Walmart in erie.
My grandma was here earlier and was in the holiday isle she asked one of the employees if they had any more christmas decorations the guy turbed around real rude and told her it was only october. The onther employee then told her they were renovating the store that they didnt have everything out.
An online grocery order was placed for Downs Drive last night for early morning pickup, but my app was not updating to let me know if it was being fulfilled, if I had substitutions or if it was ready. I called the store during the pick up window and was told it was stillbeing prepared and that sometimes the app does not update. I started driving (30 minutes to store) and decided to call again since the app was not updating to make sure it was ready. I found out they didnt even have my order, there was a glitch in the system and it was still showing up as pending. I understand this, however, I dont understand why I was told it was being prepared when the store didnt even have my order in the system. This was a huge inconvenience. If I was told then, I could have made other arrangements for my groceries that I needed for a party today.Poor customer service. Poor communication.
Terrible service evertime Ive been there. I have been in four days in a row to check for action figures that are exclusive to Walmart that are in the system but employees refuse to check or are so incompetent that they cannot find them. When an employee scans the item barcode that i have it says all of them are in the back of the store. The Walmart app even says they are in store but not available for pickup. I am told just come back later constantly and Im not going to make the drive multiple times a day because theyve wasted my time. I tell everyone I know never to shop at the Downs Drive Walmart because it is awful compared to the other store locations
The online to store service sucks at this Walmart. Youre better off dealing with ANY other walmart in Erie. Watch out for Team Leader Big Bird she doesnt actually like to work so if its something she can pawn off to someone else she will. People were worthless up there today. After this refund is done I think Targets gonna be my new place to go, Walmart these days is just getting more and more petty and lazy.
Absolutely horrible customer service , pharmacy seems like not one person knows what they are doing, scheduled a covid vaccine for a time frame and filled out paperwork just to still be sitting here 30 minutes later. However they took an individual that showed up to their scheduled time late. The pharmacist ignored me and went about her business. It definitely seems like they need some help and better customer service training in this department.May I also include that it took 2 to 3 pharmacy techs to wait on one person makes me worry that they could be messing up medications and other important documents.
After waiting several minutes for a cart because there were none, I went out and picked one up in the parking lot with several other people, sanitized and cleaned it myself. There were no fresh bakery products on the shelf and it was 11AM. I normally shop at the west ridge road store which is a much better experience, with much friendlier people and definitely much better inventory.
Looked mostly in womens. Disorganized and a lot of simply unattractive clothing. Wonder who chooses these fashions. I think Im not the only one who thinks this because there was a lot of it. Shoe section, especially summer wear was wiped out. Just wanted a pair of flip flops, none to be seen.
This Walmart is usually pretty decent. Nice employees, very helpful and the store for the most part is rather clean and easy to move through. One downside is that everything is stocked except the toys.. Blank spaces everywhere. Not sure if its their fault as manufactures / China makes most toy products and Covid probably hinders timely production. So 4 and a half stars for this particular Walmart.
Please get more attendants for self check out. Just one worker doesnt cut it when the store is getting ready to close and you have a bunch of customers trying to cash out and leave. So please add another worker so everything can happen smoothly, last night(at 10:45pm on 4-1-21) was far from ideal.
If i wanted check out purchases, i would have applied for a job. At LEAST have employees in the self-checkout lanes with a minimum of training. Upon entry, i approached an attendant and asked, Can i pay with a check here? His response, Uh, i dont know-- i think so, but Im not sure.Seriously, the only visible employee in a sea of people doing self-checkout, and is not confident enough to answer a basic question. Sad.
I went to this Walmart earlier this week with my sister and our kids. The entire time we were there, we were followed by 2 men. We brought it up to the cashier when we were checking out and all she had to say was are you sure its not just our secret shoppers? First off, how would we know that? Secondly, we were not the only ones in the store. So even if thats the case, why did we see them easily 15 times in the hour we were there? We were walked out by employees who were just standing in the womens clothing section doing nothing but talking to each other.
Bought a new pair of work boots for work. The sole fell off an hour after I put them on my feet.Walmart refused to give me a replacement pair, wouldnt give me a refund. I had my receipt clearly showed I owned the boots less than 24 hours. I got screwed for $80 plus the cost of another pair. Went to Tractor Supply for the replacement boots.
Terrible idea to not have more cashiers...waited for more than 20 minutes behind 2 elderly people with small orders...poor kid...the cashier..his 3rd time cashing...manager walked past several times seeing the length of his line...didnt stop to help until seriously15 minutes later...Not to happy at all with my WalMart experience...to bad....Amazon and Aldis will be picking up more customers...I certainly will use them when I can....schmmft😠
Whatever you do— do NOT order pick up for shopping items online. The grocery pick up game here is strong, but the non-food item pick up at the kiosk in the store is understaffed. One couple ahead of me was waiting over 30 minutes for their order. This system is supposed to save time. I feel badly for the staff who was sent to help the line of 8 or so people that had been neglected. It took 20+ minutes for me to get my pick up items in-hand. I would have been better off just walking through the store myself.
Theyre making people wear masks again! As if it worked the first time with all the people wearing masks the creative ways they did... otherwise, its walmart... they have food, drink, other drinks, random toys, candy, clothing, expensive cheap glasses, baby stuff, and they still dont allow for Heelies. Why allow shopping carts if you dont allow heelies?
Large variety of items but I ordered online (1 item) for pickup this time. My item was ready an hour later according to an email I got, but there was no information included on how exactly I was supposed to get my item. I parked my car and went in. Had to wait 5 minutes for the guy a head of me to be done then Im told that I need to drive to the side of the building and call a number for pick ups! Ok... I get over there and it ended up bring the pharmacy. They told me that I probably needed to go to the back of the building!? Really??? Ok.... theres another number back there to call and I explained my frustration to the person I talked to who brought my item out in 3 or 4 minutes. Overall a 20 minute experience to pick up something that I could have just gone in and bought myself. I wont do online ordering again, even knowing the secret pickup spot now. I assume that this started due to Covid as I have picked up stuff in store before, but Im not sure how people who have never picked up an item are supposed to know this system!
I live in Buffalo NY and this was the first time visiting this Walmart. I was very impressed with how well the shelves were stocked, the store was very clean, and the associates were extremely friendly. It was so nice to be able to purchase the items we have been looking for for several months. I wish we lived closer, because we would shop at this Walmart all of the time.
Don’t use the delivery service offered through Walmart Plus. We have paid the extra $10 for express delivery (delivery within 2 hours) multiple times, and our order has been lost, stolen, or the workers just don’t know what happened, but our order never showed up. Then we spend hours on the phone to get our delivery fee refunded, and no one at Walmart delivery and pickup EVER answers the phone, or seems to care. 10/10 regret getting the year long membership.
I would give zero stars if that was an option. I ordered a grocery delivery. ($7.95 delivery fee and a $15 tip.)My scheduled time was 6-7pm. At 6:42 I was notified that my order was on its way. Immediately followed by a notification that it was at my door. I was even given the name of the delivery driver.By 9:00 I still had not received my groceries. I kept tracking the order and it said it was in processing. Most of the items had been shopped, 1 was out of stock and 3 substitutions were made. After calling the store several times, being disconnected, etc. I finally talked to the manager on duty, Carla. She was rude and told me that department was gone and that my order wasn’t coming. When I asked if I was supposed to be notified of this in any way she told me no. Her solution was to call tomorrow. She also told me that I wasn’t the first person this has happened to! This is customer service at its worst! I can’t even fathom this. This was my first and LAST order.
Its so hard to find help and went to get my baby wic and cant use the self checkouts for that and not 1 person was working the register so I left my cart full of stuff and walked out. Since u dont want to work registers u can put my stuff back! U guys went downhill so I go to wegmans now cuz they actually cash u out! If u want everyone to cash themselves out let us do it with wic products also!! Thanks for no help!
This is the worst managed walmart that I have ever been in. There is always only 1 employee in customer service! Dont make sense to me because we bag our own groceries so thats how many cashiers could be placed in customer to make the customers experience less nerve wrecking
So usually this walmart is nice most of the time, but when you work 12 HR shifts and can only go after 9pm a manager should be skilled in all departments. I needed some keys made specifically before tomorrow and not one employee or manager in the entire store could make them. Honestly I drove 20 minutes and was very disappointed... Their keosk is broken too and I wasnt told that before I used it a few days prior... I still have no keys.
They didnt have the toy we came in for but the app. I have says they do and the one worker say she would be right back she had to look into it never came back. Went to self check out know worker was there it was packed know one wiping down after customers it was a mess.
I interrupted a young man in auto parts who was unloading a skid of automotive batteries, because I needed 5 gallons of RV antifreeze located out of reach on a top shelf. He had to retrieve a mobile ladder on the other side of the store to reach the products I needed. Once I was satisfied he then transferred the rest of the heavy products from the top shelf to a lower location. Then he returned to unloading the batteries. That fellow probably handled nearly a ton of products in less than 20 minutes.Thats how you represent your organization!
Would be a one star rating lacking previous rather good experiences. Recent delivery from this store has been dismal. Last night they did not deliver my groceries twice in a row. Rep told me that the driver could not find my downtown apt building, they have 10 or more times before. Why couldnt they call for directions in the 1 1/2 hours they were looking? Hold time to wait for reps has been insane over the last couple days, 10 minutes average, 15 minutes more than twice, out of around 10 calls. Computer and phone apps have been glitching and phone reps have flat out lied about solutions. Ive talked up the service since I started using it in June, its been really really good before now. After speaking to 10 or more reps and one manager at this store, since last night they really dont seem interested in my satisfaction.
Products were great. Customer service was terribleThe guy clearly did not want to be there doing grocery pick up. No greetings, no have a nice day or thank you just threw the groceries in the vehicle most which spilled all over I had to re-bag my groceries when I got home. Too many things single in bags thats a waste of plastic bags.
They keep this Walmart pretty clean and organized. (Especially compared to the store closest to me when I am living in Clearwater FL.) However, the last couple of trips I noticed that when the employees are stocking shelves during the busy times, they have very little regard for the shoppers trying to either look at things on the shelves, or even just pass by. There is a thing we practice where I work called CROW (customer right of way) and it is just polite and good practice to NOT look at the customer like theyre annoying you while giving you their business.
Loved the online pick up when they introduced it. Honeymoon phase is over. This was very convenient at first now it’s a disaster. Waited 58 minutes to get groceries tonight....people started walking out of their cars and offering help. Employees are doing an absolute best job they can and amount of stress they’re under is unreal but the system seems the be completely inadequate when busy. At one point they just started shouting out names. Also my order couldn’t include chicken because it was sold out.....so after all this I still had to go in and buy chicken that was in no shortage at all (same item as requested). Doubt I’ll be using this service again.
Walmart is pretty much Walmart every where you go. This store was better than most I have been to. The service was quick, store was clean and there werent a bunch of workers restocking shelves and blocking aisles. I found what I was shopping for easily. The parking lot was not packed with shopping carts and did not have empty bags and trash around the lot.
Ordered the combo appetizer of boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, loaded potato skins and pretzel sticks. Main dishes were the Philly cheesesteak burger and southwest chicken burger.. everything tasted alright, but nothing besides the pretzels were hot or seemed recently cooked for some reason. Just kinda slightly above room temp meal. Probably wont go back.
Walmart keeps getting worse. I placed a grocery order Tuesday night for Wednesday at 5-6PM. I go to head up after work and I get notification 4:55PM that my order isnt ready. I head home and get notification 15 min later its ready and some items were out of stock. I get to Walmart and check in and notice eggs, chicken, cottage cheese, cubes cheese, strawberries and cream cheese were all out of stock. I ended up waiting for 45 min until they brought out my order. I called as spoke to an assistant manager who always responded with I dont know. I asked how is there not a carton of eggs she goes I dont know. I asked if I get a babysitter and come in will there be any on the shelves in 20 min she said I dont know. Im sorry but take a min walk and check. How is it the whole refrigerator section of my order is out of stock?? This is the third bad experience and will not return ill gladly spend more at giant eagle for better quality
This place is a joke. I tried to call there all morning to ask if they still have an item in stock was on hold for electronics for 30 min nobody picked up the phone. Then I hang up and try to call back and literally nobody answered the phone that time. Like does anybody work here and want to help a customer by answering a simple question for me.
Cant believe what a great store compared to my local store in mayfield hts, Ohio. The employees were all very helpful, didnt see 1 person on their cell phones. Everything was we stocked and all stock I looked at was pulled forward. Thanks for a great shopping experience!
I am going with 3 stars because this Walmart is the most Strategically located and stays pretty busy and I, like a lot of customers will not use the self check out because I feel it takes away jobs. So instead of having more cashiers work the registers they try and convince customers to use the self checkout. So lines were extremely long and I hope Walmart is monitoring the fact that Cashiers are way better than having to be forced to use self checkout. I am not complaining because I prepare to wait just because I prefer Human contact plus I am hoping to save a job.
Ordered a pick up order from here, and after arriving the order on the app was changed to delayed. Could not get ahold of anybody from the specific walmart to tell us how long it would be, so eventually we called the corporate help line which informed us itd be another hour (after it had been an hour already). Overall it ended up taking 3 hours past our original order time and half of the things we needed were out of stock anyways.
I love this Walmart! You cannot find lower prices- we buy all of our paper products, home goods and all of our groceries there. Great assortment of frozen and fresh foods. Meats are also good - I buy my T-bone steaks there and they are always good. The cashiers are always so kind and I really appreciate that and its something that I always notice and appreciate at this Walmart. Also- their Great Value products are really good, too!
Close, convenient and low cost. Recently l was surprised how the good employees were helpful in helping me find what l need. That makes me happy that they enjoy being a Wal-Mart employee. Thanks too All those employees who make Wal-Mart what it is. You are Super people in my book!!!!
Very nice one of the cleanest Walmart’s I’ve been it not to much worker guest interaction I spoke with one person she wasn’t rude but could have been friendlier the great made us feel like she thought that we stole 2 posters because she couldn’t find them on the receipt And believe me she looked for a minute my son has to show here where they were on the receipt. I bought 2 riffle BB guns and 2 hand gun BB guns and she kind fixated on that 2 because she didn’t see the hand guns I. The bottom of the bag all I all it was a good experience
Ordered a TV online for store pickup. Arrived 3.5 hours to pickup(website said it was there), and after the employees being fairly rude and condescending(especially SAM, their apparent manager of walmart pickup), I was told it would be 4 MORE HOURS before it would be ready? TAKES FOUR HOURS to GET A TV DOWN FROM A RACK???? I was also told I had to cancel my order ONLINE.(another inconvenience). I will never shop at this Walmart again or even order electronics from walmart. Amazon wins again!!
This is really one of the cleanest Walmarts ever! So well stocked! Very friendly staff! It is simply a great experience at this store, anytime I am in Erie, I go here. 5 STARS! If other Walmart stores need tips to excel at what a store should look like, this is the one to go to, to learn how it is done
I usually dont be in the store more than 15 minutes thanks too self- checkout cause I enter the stores knowing exactly what I want and approximately how much I will spend, I have never really had a bad experience simply because I realize we all are dealing with something and kindness is always free.
I like shopping in the store. However my old legs get tired traversing from the grocery isles to other parts of the store. Wish there were some rest benches in various parts of the store and more checkouts open. Do not like self checkouts. Also on a recent Saturday morning trip there was not a single parking space open so I drove away.

2022-06-09This Walmart has improved a lot over the past year, they are now usually very well stocked except for baby formula but that is happening everywhere right now.

2022-03-16Our go to location for toothpaste, shaving cream, shampoo etc. Had a return item and was handeled quickly and friendly. Inventory seems to be getting better. Still some shortages, but not their fault.

2022-07-01Great Walmart location! Easy parking. Newer store it seems. Nice layout. Pharmacy just inside the right doors. Excellent. Well kept. Has Cashiers!

2022-04-12One of the better local Walmart stores. Miles and miles above the one on Elm street. The employees here actually act like they are at their place of work and are friendly and helpful. Not rude, uncaring and more concerned with their conversations. Lots of open self checkout lines.

2022-06-15Walmart is a good store because it has a variety of good things like clothes, food, toys, furniture, bottles, kitchen utensils, bikes, electronics, etc. If you have never been there you should go.

2022-06-20Its a Walmart! Haha. But bathrooms are usually clean and the produce is decent quality. Workers at the Erie location are friendly and helpful.

2022-01-31This is probably my least favorite Walmart to visit. I just don’t feel safe with all the carts left in the parking lot that my car wouldn’t be dented my the time I finish shopping. Literally 20+ loose carts dotted around the parking lot. Also I know it’s winter but the floors were dirty and other locations keep it cleaner.

2022-03-15Names are irrelevant but when an employee gets an attitude when I ask her a question is unacceptable. 1 girl sat there feeding her face. I wanted to try on some jeans and nobody knew where the key was. 5 girls there, 4 looking for it. Finally another girl came walking up with a key. If I didnt need the pants, I would have walked out without buying anything. Usually I give 4 stars (nobody deserves 5 stars) but not this time.

2022-04-14This location is not recommended. Star rating deductions for lack of friendliness and cleanliness, cluttered, over-crowded in areas designed with insufficient space for foot traffic. Pharmacy operates inefficiently, staffed with unknowledgeable and unprofessional workers. Parking lot design and car traffic flow is very cumbersome. Inventory issues: something Walmart as a chain has had problems with since at least 2018 (though now conveniently blamed on covid), this location will consistently be out of 80% of the items on your list, especially groceries. Something other large grocery stores dont seem to have a problem with, especially to that degree. Wegmans would be a much better suggestion for a better shopping experience. There is also a Lowes nearby with competent staff for home improvement and lawn and garden goods.

2022-01-24Dont visit this place when they are close to closing. All of the cashiers are standing around talking to each other and when you ask for assistance they say that yes I can help you then go right back to chatting again while the store is about ready to close. Then when you say something they get an attitude. I needed assistance for a different reason. He punched in his credentials and just walked away without speaking a word. The register needed him again so I had to call him back over. With an attitude again, he comes over, punches his credentials in again and just stormed off Again.I said thank you! Very loud and he just gave me a dirty look and walked away.
